Got my usual order of a fish supper and was disappointed with the portion size of chips. That's the second time in a row so hopefully next time will be better or I'll be giving Paul's a try.

Bacon and sausages were ok, rest of breakfast was absolutely terrible plus mushrooms were missing, most overcooked egg i have seen and was unedible. Defo nowhere near worth ÂŁ10 and wont be back, toast was so underdone too they might aswell hav just gave me bread. Have to go ask for butter and "toast" was cold by the time we got it

I came to show my visiting Spanish friend a traditional fish supper. Because this place is so good he now thinks fish and chips is amazing so I think he should stop now so he stays happy. The price is really good and i loved the battered haggis. We will be back and next time will have the battered pizza.

Ordered a chicken kebab and haggis supper for delivery, it took around 1 1/2 hours to arrive and was cold when it arrived, the chips were stuck to the box in cold lard !! the only thing that was eaten was the chicken and only because we were starving, everything else went straight in the bin, never again !!!

Ate dinner and breakfast here while we were staying in the hotel. Staff are really nice and helpful, the food was good, not fine dining but not expensive so for the price it is above a lot of other places. I wouldnât normally go into a hotel restaurant if I wasnât staying but I would go there again if I was in Edinburgh.

Ordered 2 large bags of chips and just about had a coronary when the assistant said that'll be ÂŁ8 please. They were just average portions and not the best. This has to be the most expensive chippie in Fife and even beats the crap chippie in ST Andrews called Cromars. Can anyone beat ÂŁ4 for a bag of run of the mill chips? Obviously, that will be my last visit and thought I'd warn others how expensive it is.

My partner and I visited on a lovely sunny May day. The cafe was quiet but we were greeted as we walked in. We ordered a soup and toastie between us. The soup was tasty although we should have asked for two spoons. And the toastie was served with an option of chips or salad. We chose the salad which was nice and had coleslaw with it. Portion sizes were good for the price. Only slight downside was the toilet was not as fragrant as it could have been (obviously not always controllable) and had a few bits and bobs lying around. Other than that the cafe was good and we would visit again if in the area. Thanks.

recent dinner there. great location and attractive room. staff very poorly trained and sloppy in their service. worst of all - the food. I got sick from the oysters that "had been brought up today from a local fisherman". the meal was cold, tasteless fish and chips and very overpriced. it was a struggle to get the staff to come to the table. probably the worst of all our Sky dinners.
