We had 3-courses for a great price. The food and service where also good.

I would like to say that this is the TOP 1 fish n chips in UK, 100% sure! I traveled all around UK from Isle of Wight to NC500. To be fair, fish n chips is just not my type and preference. If someone ask me any UK special food such as fish n chips, I ll still say not recommended, EXCEPT a fabulous restaurant at the far north of UK called The Seaforth👍 Thank u guys for the amazing tongue treatment today, it is one of my sparking memories in UK😊

Perhaps being a Sunday evening, but the worst bouillabaisse I’ve ever had! £28+ for tinned tomato soup, a few peas, 1tiny scallop, a couple of not so well cooked potato chunks, and about 8 pieces of fish!!!! Not good but my friend had the haddock soup which was lovely! Waitress super friendly and service good. Check bouillabaisse before you order!!!!

One complaint. Too big a portion! I'm a big eater bit i struggled to finish. Very tasty and the service was quick and friendly.

Great food variety and the sweetest waitress in the world, went a second time because of her alone. Still, the food was very good as well.

Last year stumbled upon this great restaurant . A year later, with the weather getting bad, Headed back to a place I knew from last year. Same Lodging Facility and decided to come here again for a great meal. Highly recommended, As the service is great, and the food is wonderful. The atmosphere also makes it highly enjoyable. Five stars for everything. Till my next trip to Scotland.

Draft Beers not so good. Tried them all and not certain why they all taste either too hoppy or of citrus fruit. Some decent real ales please!

Fish inside batter was almost non existent,batter was greasy, you would think for £12-95 it would be nice but disappointing.

The Seaforth made the largest impact on our journey on the basis of culinary experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They went out of their way to help celebrate our wedding and surprised my wife and I with a heartwarming, teary message in the dessert. It was honestly an amazing experience and we would recommend this place to anyone for a very tasty plate of food and excellent service.

You can drink a nice beer there.

Food was good, but only giving 3 stars as it was very expensive, as were the drinks.

Tasty fish in batter, huge portion of chips, overpriced portion of mushy please, 50p for a paperbag to carry home. Grrrrrrrr

What a little gem of a place, the atmosphere is great. food was fantastic. great choice of beverages. All staff were polite and friendly. I would recommend booking a table, though.

Paid £12 for a fish super. Chips warm. Cold half way through eating. Fish was no more than six inches in length. I would have expected two for that price. It was also thick with grease. Yuck !

Overall a great place. Anyway if you want to sit at a table in town you don’t have many different choices. We waited at the bar 10 mins to have a table. It was all nice but some plates seemed overpriced.

It's great when you walk in and it is indicated that everything has been reserved, but you can still eat until the table is actually occupied. That meant we still had an hour and a half. The boiled mussels for me and fish & chips for my friend were delicious. Friendly and attentive service, the food came quickly. We were tired, so we were back outside within 40 minutes with full stomachs.

Have never been, have never sampled their services, but they emailed me for a review unsolicited, so this is it. Food looks decent enough from the photos they have online though.

Extremely helpful staff. We showed up without a reservation and the man at the door was able to get us in because there was some time before people started showing up. The lady that waited on us was very kind and helpful. My wife got the Haddock Mornay and it was delicious. She really enjoyed it and I got to have a bit of it also. I got the venison burger and if I'm being honest, I've had better. It seemed a bit overcooked. All of the seafood I saw other people getting looked delicious though. I suppose I get what I deserve for not ordering seafood in a town right on the water. You gotta live with your choices though. Overall, delicious and the staff is amazing. Great little upscale stop.

Was here last year, and we drove 50 miles each way to come again for good reason, so 4 of us in for lunch today. When we arrived all the tables were taken or reserved, so we were 1st on the waiting list and cosied up at the bar for about a 15 minute wait. Between us 4 main courses, a Seaforth burger, venison burger, fish and chips and a roast salmon. I had the Seaforth, was really good. Crispy onion rings and chips, the chips real fluffy in the middle, juicy patty and a magic bbq dip, same for the venison one according to Shep. Dad had the battered haddock. Good batter, succulent and fresh haddock with a great flavour. My sister had the salmon with spinach and mash, I never tasted that, but she was well happy. A nice ambience today, a load of tables held for a tour. We ordered just ahead of their arrival so we had no delay, the musician on the accordion belting out a few reels. A wee delay on coffees during the tour clear up, and a cold one so in fairness they were comped before we brought it up. This place is a sure fire guarantee for a good meal, attentive and professional service, it's clean, and we were well looked after by a lovely New Zealander. My only negative would be that I felt it a little over priced. £100 for 4 mains, 1 side including 10% service. However, I also understand, prime location and far NW 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 drives pricing. I'll see ya next year, thank you for a lovely meal. 😍 (my auld fella just had part 2 of his fish & chips for his tea. Nice one for the take away box)

The chips was probably the best chips I have ever had! However, the lady got our order wrong and the entire team was then talking about us, seen and heard. Which undoubtedly makes you feel very uncomfortable. Very pricey for 2 chips and 2 soft drinks and also paying a surcharge on top of that.

Excellent restaurant in Ullapool Very warm welcome, very professional staff. I tasted a bouillabaisse which was excellent, with a very nice portion of several fish and seafood. I highly recommend!

Had fish and chips was brilliant food and quick service even though they were busy great service value for money

Ordered one large haddock which was enough for two of us. Great chips but the fish was a bit on the thin side. Had to wait on order as cooked fresh.

The food at this restaurant was excellent. We had seafood, and we really enjoyed it.

Had the misfortune of ordering panko breadcrumb haddock. Firstly they weren't panko bread crumbs. Blatant lie. Secondly, the fish was paper thin and dry and tasteless. I realise it is mostly staffed by people working there way around the country, but someone should care. Dreadful quality and even worse value for money. Beware.

I recommend this restaurant. It was very good. The service was very attentive. The homemade soup and mussels were very good.

As a coeliac eating out is often very hit and miss. It was a delight to find a Chippy serving gluten free fish and chips. They gave you a beeper to let you know when they were ready and you could sit in the garden area on benches. The food was lovely, not greasy and large portions too. None of the usual side effects for me. Total thumbs up.

Food was ok but staff were not very nice. They seem not so pleased that we were coming to lunch. A bit rude. I think they only welcome local people from Ullapool. I don’t know why they act like this as we spent a lot for the meal.

Good restaurant if you want to eat seafood. Scallops, langoustines and Cullen skink were delicious. The staff was kind. Maybe too expensive!!!

Without a doubt the worst chippy tea I have ever had. Tasteless chips?! The haggis was truly awful, I hope people aren't trying it for the first time, it tastes absolutely nothing like haggis. Dressed fish overcooked. Fish in batter was good. Save your money, go to the Seafood Shack round the corner.

We had a wonderful lunch here and langoustines were delicious. Debbie was a star and looked after us beautifully. Many thanks and highly recommended.

My son has just got fish and chips from the chippy for £13 and the portion size is like a child’s! He is 6ft and 22 years old. He is too nice to go in and complain. He won’t be back. Such a shame as he has good memories of this place. He is working up in Ullapool but will go else where now. What a rip off.

They made us wait 45 minutes before giving us a table, and after the long wait they gave us a table for 6 people to share (there were 2 of us!). Nobody wanted to share, because we were all couples. The food is good, the service is good and the place is nice but the waiters are not very helpful, I think they have preferences for the locals, and I have told them so.

Came in today and asked if we could have a table for 2 with 2 small dogs. We asked to sit in the open conservatory area so the dogs wouldn't cause any nuisance or discomfort to anyone inside. The young lady that greeted us said to grab a table and they would bring menus over to us. No menus were brought over to us after being seated for 15+ minutes and the waiter looking over to us on multiple occasions, it was quite apparent that they were not interested or that service was not their strong suit. My partner even suggested that we need to go up and order drinks and food at the bar, if this establishment charges service charge on an already pricey menu, then service is to be expected. Appalling and a ruin to a nice day in Ullapool.

Felt like we were bothering them for a table. Food was fair at best. Our waiter was good. Host made you feel like you were bothering him.

It is good but really expensive. 3 starters, 3 mains, and 2 drinks ech is about 125 pounds. And those are even 'cheap' dishes. You do pay 10% more as a 'tip'. This is listed on the menu. Service was great though!

Too expensive for what they offer, they also charge you 10% of the service that they say is optional but in the end it ends up becoming mandatory because it is reflected on the ticket before paying. Lunch 2 basic dishes, drinking tap water and no dessert for £55. Exaggerated value for money.

The food was okay, the service (upper floor) was great, the kitchen was lame (forgot about us), but the prices were too high, so overall too expensive. With a lot of goodwill 4 stars...

Came here after a long few years in returning to our favourite place. The Seaforth has changed a lot since we last came and reading the reviews we were nervous to come back. Had the best burger and chips and wine and beer we’ve had in a while out. The burger was thick and juicy and full of flavour, onion rings were crispy, not soggy as were the chips. It didn’t look a lot but it was. The wine, Mureda Merlot, was divine, a bit pricey! But worth it. It might have changed and not like it used to be, with good old pub food, but it was still top notch.

This is for take away fish and chips not the restaurant. Avoid at all costs - we ordered 2 large x fish and 1 x scampi which came to £32.50. We assumed these would come with chips - it doesn't!! Another £13.50 for 3 x chips. For the cost we would have expected much, much better. The fish was most definitely not large and the batter was soggy and oily. Chips were OK.

We popped in on the chance of getting a table and were accommodated straight away, we were served quickly and efficiently, the food was amazing, really good portion sizes, especially the fish & chips, the staff were excellent, prices were good. The Seaforth is a very charming place, nice decor, lots of space between tables and we didnt feel rushed, all in all a lovely few hours enjoying a lovely meal

Too long, not really good and too expensive.

Absolute rip off. Nice place and good food but.... I was charged £26 for pasta, tomato and courgette, the vegan option linguine. Yes twenty six pounds. This linguine did not have mythical healing powers or any other benefits. It's tasted nice but I feel practically violated after being charged 26 quid for the dish. I spoke with two members of staff about being charged full price for a dish missing the main ingredient (prawns) only to be told "that's the price".

Waiting time too long, 45 minutes and too expensive for what is offered, particularly the sea food platter. The staff is nice but the food is not up to the price!!

A service charge is added to the total price of the meal. It's not even about a higher fee, but that any fee is charged at all. Really strange practices. It would be appropriate to warn customers in advance that a special fee will be charged.

We had the nicest waitress, Debbie. She actually made the experience. We both decided on fish after reading reviews on the burgers. Played it safe & it paid off. The fish was good & the fries were plentiful. So was the ketchup!

Great atmosphere when it was busy, excellent friendly service and good food. Had a great meal here after a boat trip along the loch. Haggis Bon Bons were a hit and so were the mussels. We also had the Haddock Mornay which was very good.

The food here was okay, we had their cullen skink, mussels and sticky toffee pudding and tried their rhubarb and ginger gin (which was excellent). We sat outside but were eaten up by midges then we moved inside. The service was polite but not very personable.

We ate a Fish&Chips, a very complete and very good dish. The dessert was also delicious.

The soup was nice, unfortunately they only accept card payments. They need to put up a big sign saying so, to warn those of us who only carry cash! £17.49 for a bowl of tomato soup & a pint was way overboard too.

Overpriced Fish and chips at £20 and this is the cheapest meal. For the price you would expect something nice. Standard and rather greasy. We were traveling by motorbike and it was raining. The reception was cold, we were not welcome. Then no one came until a temporary worker “took pity” on us. It took forever for the food to arrive. We were happy to be warm and dry. Otherwise we would have left again. Go somewhere else. You can get standard food here and it costs an average of 35 for a meal!

Excellent fish restaurant overlooking the port where you can enjoy the catch of the day or simply some fantastic mussels. Plenty of seating both inside and outside weather permitting. Very friendly staff and attentive even to the presence of the little ones.

We had a very tasty meal here: excellent shrimp cocktail decorated with langoustine and the tastiest linguine ever (better than in Italy!). In addition, the service was smooth and very friendly. Nice music: absolutely great! Reservations are recommended (fortunately we did).

We had food at the restaurant (not the fish&chip). Lovely and attentive staff, but the true gem of this place is the fish. Everything was increadibly fresh and delicious. Prices: not the cheapest, but adequate for quality and freshness. One of the best fish food I had in the UK!

Chips are amazing, warm, crispy, and fluffy in the middle. Thats where it ends. Fish wasn't traditional Fish n Chips. Yellowy orange batter and I would only describe it as almost the frozen stuff your mum would have served in the 80s. However, very oily and almost raw batter in the middle. Fish was slimy. Portion size of fish a let down considering what they serve next door in the attached restaurant.

Great food and service. However, we felt it was a bit pricey.

Food fairly standard. Greasy batter, undercooked chips. Tartare sauce, not homemade. Sauces placed on the table in their bottles instead of dishes. For tge prices theg charge I expect better quality everything. Won't go back.

The food was very delicious and the staff was extremly friendly. We've never had such an amazing waiter.

We wanted to make a reservation for the evening in the afternoon, the waiter said that everything would be full until 8 p.m. and then we could just come and not have to make a reservation. We waited until just before 8pm and then got there to be told we couldn't get a spot because the waiting list was too long?!? We then picked up take away and took it with us, only to find out later that what we had ordered wasn't in our box. Didn't taste bad, but we liked it better when we were here a few years ago.

All the food was amazing. Service was great! Great white IPA (white witch) and the fish was HUGE!! But the winner was my husbands venison cranberry burger and the Culkein Skink Soup.

Food was good, mussels and haggis starters were even very good. Mac and Chees was average. Salmon is very good for that. What is a little annoying is the 10% tip that is automatically charged. We were allowed to sit outside because it was full inside and the weather wasn't exactly summery. We would have liked to have chosen whether there would be a tip for this. Without a reservation there is almost no space for dinner.

Gorgeous restaurant with live music and local beer selection. I tried langoustines for the first time here and I thoroughly enjoyed them! Toilet facilities are clean and accessible and the wait staff are keen and attentive. Would recommend to anyone visiting Ullapool.

Unfortunately our experience was not a good one. We were waiting over an hour for our food and then informed they had forgotten to notify the kitchen that we were ready for our mains. We were offered a complementary drink as a goodwill gesture which we ended up paying for. The restaurant did knock 30% off our bill and that would have been fine had I not got food poisoning from the mussels I ate. Considering the location I would not have expected their mussels to be off. Very disappointed.

Nice seafood dishes in this restaurant. The more elaborate presentations and service explains the slightly higher prices. Mussels were very fresh. Dessert is ok.
