The best restaurants serving Seafood food in South West Scotland

We had seen this place advertised everywhere and heard them on a few radio stations too, as they are selling deep fried creme eggs and we had always wanted to try them so we popped in and werent disappointed.. The prices are very reasonable compared to other chip shops in the area and they have a few unusual things in the menu like deep fried pickled onions, deep fried lorne slice sausage and any deep fried sweets you want. We ordered chip rolls and some deep fried creme eggs and were pleasantly surprised. They were very tasty and the chips were lovely and crispy, just how I like them. We will definitely be back!

We called in for soup and coffee at lunchtime staff made us feel so welcome with our dog too.It was so good we booked for dinner and were not disappointed. My husband had duck pate to start and haggis needs and tatties I had haggis pakoras to start and steak pie we were full but were piggies and had sticky toffee pudding between us bliss.Our dog enjoyed the log fire and a chewy stick so lovely we are going back tomorrow evening

Food was ok ,had fish,n chips but more batter than fish,one of the glasses of water was dirty and sticky toffee pudding was burnt as it had bitter taste

Ordered dressed fish and chips and a black pudding and chips. Black pudding was really tasty and the fish was very nice. Chips were good chippy chips. Staff very friendly and it is a very busy chip shop and rightly so.

Friendly staff who were very helpful and accommodating. Lovely food and a great place to spend an afternoon/evening with a pleasing window view of the ocean.

This was a chipper we would never go by when we sailed into Girvan as it was so good. We were going through there on Sunday afternoon by road and decided to get our supper and eat it further up the road to our destination. I bought 2 fish suppers and when we opened them (the 2 bits of fish were burnt and you could hardly make out the fish from the batter and the chips were not cooked long enough) . They were unedible. If I was passing through there again and went in I would hope the quality of their product was vastly improved.

The freshly baked muffins are huge and utterly delicious. They also have a wide range of syrups for flavoured coffees as well as other hot and cold drinks. There’s a god selection of sandwiches, wraps, panini, etc as well as a few other cakes. The service is good, though it can get very busy - a testament to how good it is.

Been here a number of times and the fish is always ok and freshly cooked with crispy batter. Chips are made from potatoes rather than bought in. Staff are a local family. Value has gone down significantly and I haven’t been back since the change.

It’a a great coffee shop to go to the cakes and food are world class the staff are great people and they always help you

Fish and Chips nearly £10 for a fillet and half of Haddock. Fish was very good, no complaints. Chips however were straight out a freezer bag. £1.80 for can of Irn Bru so if you do want to try this wee chippie bring drinks with you.

Do not get the macaroni. It is Absolutely disgusting. Pallid, pasty colour, obviously a packet mix sauce dont think and cheddar hit the plate. Chips were OK Not what I would have expected from the Equi name...

Bueno, normalmente no me detengo tarde por la noche en busca de comida, pero esto tiene que ser recomendado. Eran las 955 de la tarde, el lugar cierra a las 10 de la noche, así que eché un vistazo para ver qué había y nada que ver, pero el chico dijo "podemos poner algo para ti" Pensé que estaba escuchando cosas y 10 minutos después una magnífica cena de pescado. Conduje a casa y comí en la casa, ahora tengo una barriga muy feliz, tal vez no sea la comida más saludable a altas horas de la noche, pero es lo mejor para mí. Servicio de personal increíble. ¿Necesitas probarlo si ya no estás haciendo cola jajaja?

Absolutely delicious , fish was beautifully made and the chips were fantastic 😋 Haggis fritters were decent but not needed lol 😆

Great food, but the only disadvantage is that they ask for cash only.
