We had seen this place advertised everywhere and heard them on a few radio stations too, as they are selling deep fried creme eggs and we had always wanted to try them so we popped in and werent disappointed.. The prices are very reasonable compared to other chip shops in the area and they have a few unusual things in the menu like deep fried pickled onions, deep fried lorne slice sausage and any deep fried sweets you want. We ordered chip rolls and some deep fried creme eggs and were pleasantly surprised. They were very tasty and the chips were lovely and crispy, just how I like them. We will definitely be back!

I opted for the ‘mini’ fish supper at a brilliant price of just three pounds. It was really delicious and the portion was so big. The young lad who served me was really friendly and we had a bit of banter. Thoroughly recommend this place and will be back next time I’m in Ayr.

Excellent prawns and scampi. Very fresh and well cooked. Good to know it's maintained quality food. Glad we returned and will come back!

Was nearby and looking for a good late night meal. Stopped in and had some fish and chips along with a burger. Burger was unique and delicious. I’m from America, so I’m used to the patty being on the bottom, but they put it on the top of the sandwich. Was nice, keeps bottom bun from getting soggy. The fish and chips were top notch. I added some salt and vinegar and they were perfect. I’d highly recommend this place. Come out and support your local restaurant!

This is the first review since last year of the Rabbit restaurant. Booked for a Sunday lunch. The restaurant was fairly busy in the top half but we asked to sit in the lower southern facing part of the room with superb views of the golf course & the Clyde. 3 of us chose the Roast Rump of Longhorn Beef, comprising of Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, greens & carrots together with gravy & horseradish. The food was just warm, the Yorkshires’ were in part burnt, and the roast potatoes were hard. With hindsight we should have sent it back to the kitchen, but it had taken quite a while to appear once the ordered was placed. Clearly it had been left ready for collection by the servers but probably delayed in appearing? There must be a method to keep dishes hot prior to delivery? Just why it was overcooked remains unexplained. One of us had the chicken dish which was fine, as were the desserts. The serving staff were pleasant & attentive. Overall disappointing due to lack of attention & coordination in the kitchen.
