We popped in for mini fish & chips. Great size portion - too much for me tbh. Great value. Ate it by the beach - my favourite place

Service good, food ok, but never hot chips.

Finally found a good chip shop locally! Chips were lovely and soft and steak pie gorgeous. Sausage supper also rated highly. Very efficient service no matter how busy.

Great fish and chips and amazing value. Cannot beat it, the queues are often long but go down quickly, the lack of queue and competitors around the corner tells you all you need to know. Mini fish and chips is perfectly enough for one!

We popped down to Ayr from East Kilbride (me and the wife), fish supper each, great portions, great taste and great value. Highly recommended.

Excellent service, seeing the queue outside was a bit off-putting at first, however chatting with the locals the queue was understandable. Cashier took order quickly and the wait wasn't too long for the food. The fish was freshly cooked and flavoursome, chips were tasty but had been sat for a short while. All in all well worth the wait.

First time trying this chip shop, waz mighty impressed with a very efficient and very young staff. Fish was top notch and chips were banging too. Be back regularly now !

Nice clean place good food made to order. Reasonable prices. And with the addition of an ice cream shop makes it oh so good. Still the best.. Consistently one of the if not the busiest chippy in the place.

Stumbled across this wee chipy after a recommendation from a friend.im not a huge chip shop fan, but have it a bash. I had the sweet chilli chicken supper and curry sauce. What can i say? It was absolutely delicious. I've been back a few times for the same and won't be the last. It's busy wee shop, but staff are polite and quick...Great food and value for money.

Good Value Fish Gingers and chips for £2.75

Cutting short - We had a fish and chips yesterday. We knew from start that the curry sauce tasted funny (but we thought they have own recipe) and fish was not that fresh... Chips fried on burnt oil. But the evidence came up during the night. I had to take a day off due to... Food poisoning!!! It is end of another day and I still feel rough 🤢 I do not recommend to give it a try.

Best fish and chips 🍟 in the area

Probably the best chippy I've had in a long time. It's a contender with my local but as I'm on holiday a bit far to travel 😂 Portion sizes were good and not many scrap chips if any at all. Price was also great. Fed a family of 6 for just over £20 will be visiting again before we go home.

Fantastic fish and chips, enjoyed by us all. We had two fish in our suppers and i can say everybody ate every bite of their fish. I had breaded fish and it was perfect. We sat on the beach (approx 200m away, down the road, opposite the shop) to enjoy the view and our meal al fresco. Nothing left for the seagulls! Staff could not be more friendly and helpful.

Good food and the prices are ok as well. We were in and the service was good but there was a long queue to get served not always a bad thing

We used to.use this place on a regular basis. Then we had a couple of fish suppers which was full of bones. Gave it a miss for months. Last Thursday we went to give them the benefit of the doubt.. low and behold...no change im afraid. The chips were very soggy. The Fish was disgusting 🫣. It has gone downhill. Won't be back.

One of the best quality of Fish & Chips! The place is not on the main street but it's worth to walk a bit more to find this place and try the difference! I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Best fish and chips me the wife and kids have ever tasted the service was remarkable defo a 10/10 from us and be making it a monthly visit for the food as we are an hour and a half away but well worth it that goes for the ice cream 10/10 as well 😋😋😋😋

Well organised, well cooked and well priced. Not keen on spray vinegar but nice clean oil is vital and a no brainier if you want to produce this quality for takeaway - especially with another well know chip shop within 30 yards.

Been a few times & the chips have been quite greasy. The fish has tasted great as has the sausage. If I was passing, I'd use this place, but unfortunately, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

Immaculate and spotless shop. Everything has always been cooked fresh to order each time we have visited, best tasting chips and always fresh fish with suppers. Exceptional value for money (we pay nearly double the price for exact same order in Glasgow). Staff are always nothing but polite and friendly. Only place we would go for a Chippie in Ayrshire!

Very efficient and friendly service, place was spotlessly clean, lots of customers but still was served fairly quickly, had a fish supper which was pretty good so all round it gets the thumbs up from me!

First time customer and I have two complaints... first one is the chicken goujons were breaded and not battered... my fault though as I never asked. The actual chicken was lovely. 2nd complaint is how many chips do you think people can eat. Massive portion.. I was sharing mine and still at least a 3rd of them had to be binned. Thank you for a lovely dinner and next time I'm in this area I'll be back for sure.

Really great chip shop. Always clean and although can be busy they fly through the orders. Some nice neweditions over the last while like the mac and cheese bites. The usual chip shop eats are all very good. We'll worth a visit

Grt wee chippy ..gd selection fair price

AVOID...Fish was full of bones on our first visit. We thought just unlucky , and a one off. Fish was riddled with bones on our second visit too. Overpriced and offering very poor quality food.

Went to this chippy yesterday 18th July while at Ayr races, ordered 4 fish suppers & 3 sausage suppers. The ordering was good and the food was absolutely brilliant, good portions and good prices. When ever I'm back in Ayr, I'll definitely go back.
