The Wee Chippy in East Ayrshire

Been here a number of times and the fish is always ok and freshly cooked with crispy batter. Chips are made from potatoes rather than bought in. Staff are a local family. Value has gone down significantly and I haven’t been back since the change.

A great Scottish chippy and a gem in Ayrshire. Curry sauce was something else. Recommend the smoked sausage! Lovely ladies

Best fish and chips within a 50 mile radius. Stumbled upon this wee chippy on a stravage with seven children in toe and the German Shepherd The shop owner couldn’t have been lovelier even offered some liver pate as a treat for the pooch. Would recommend.

Small but does what it says on the tin! Fish & chips and Sausage and chips, batter on both crispy like it should be and chips tasty. Where we live long established chip shops can't seem to cook batter properly! Friendly staff as well.

Possibly the friendliest chippy in Ayrshire, this mother and daughter run establishment makes everything fresh to order. They make a cracking battered sausage and the curry sauce actually has a bit of a kick. Chips are tasty and well cooked. Fritters, mmmmmm, fritters. The batter they use is crisp and light and not at all greasy. It’s a tiny place but it packs a punch and run by the loveliest happy people.

The food here is fine and what you would expect from a standard chippy. Doesn't do anything wrong but nothing above average either.

We have recently been very disappointed in fish and chips around the UK but the Wee Chippy fish suppers were excellent. Also they were served in cardboard not plastic boxes. Highly recommended.

My wife & I (with dog in tow)!!! arrived in Mauchline for a break following the relaxing of lockdown rules. We found 'The Wee Chippy' which indeed it is, but not in quality!!! My wife had a fish supper & I tried the haggis (well, when in Rome)!!! Both were exceptional, probably the best we've ever tasted. So much so we called again a few days later. Everything is cooked fresh, I couldn't see any thing pre cooked. Definitely worth a visit!!!

Just had an amazing fish supper at this wee gem of a place. Fish and chips so tasty and not greasy AT ALL!!!! Also the staff are so lovely and friendly, I will most definitely be back well worth the 23 mile road trip - highly recommend *****

Just had 3 amazing fish suppers from this brilliant chippy takeaway. Ordered one normal supper and 2 x small suppers - none disappointed and value for money!!! Fish and chips were bone dry - no grease to be seen. We will definitely make the 23 miles trip again, absolutely well worth it. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be making a return visit VERY SOON. Highly recommend *****

Just had a delivery from the wee chippy. Contactless delivery over the phone was easy and the food arrived piping hot 20 minutes later. Our family favourite is the southern fried chicken fillets, also enjoyed the fish supper and chicken bites. Love the gravy too. Food high quality and friendly service.

Out exploring in Mauchline smelt a lovely chippie. Found The Wee Chippie under our noses. Cooked from fresh an hour earlier than normal opening. Amazing batter on sausages (great butchers sausages too) and fish supper. Lots of lovely perfectly cooked chips. Staff friendly and quick at service, prices very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Went here as my daughter was over from malta where she now lives and wanted chippy chips to eat with home made curry so went here they were lovely real chippy chips

My friend and I got fish and chips here, it was good. Had fish and chips a few times and its always been good. Would visit again.

This is a lovely wee chippy stop for here one night for a take away Which was very tasty I just had pie and chips but very nice .

Had about ten take outs from the wee chippy and I must say it's always been spot on, all cooked fresh and well worth the wee wait. I was never a chippy person due to soggy back heated chips but there chips are superb. Don't listen to any of the haters. It's excellent folks.

Un pequeño "fish and chips" llevar más allá de los semáforos. Los alimentos cocinados en frente de usted. Me gusta especialmente la masa crujiente, el pescado es también bastante buena! . Parte de generosos con un montón de patatas fritas, que se encuentran entre los mejores que hemos tenido, no pasada! ! Su tono para conseguir una noche de viernes regalo para nosotros, así que recomiendo una visita.

The chippy is a really nice friendly place, food is delicious and cook fresh right in front of you, no pre cooked food kept under hotlights, will be back without a doubt

Terrible wee chip shop, will simply never be back again that's for sure, with burnt cooking fat stinking the place out as well as coating the frayed food, not withstanding the service. NO THANKS !

Well worth a visit of you fancy a fast takeaway meal from a chip shop. Good portions and value and certainly the best in Mauchline.

Absolutely terrible take for ever to cook and everything dripping with fat and has a horrible taste to it off the unclean oil

No tengo nada malo que decir de este "fish and chips". El personal es siempre amable y chirpy. La cocina es tan limpia como una patena. El pescado es fresco ya que te gusta. Patatas fritas deliciosa y a un precio muy razonable. Espero que continúe a lo hacen muy bien.
