We were staying nearby so dropped into this pub for a drink. We were initially put off by the ugly signage, neon ‘open’ sign and tv playing sport, but were pleasantly surprised by the attractive interior and friendly staff. They had a good range of wines and beers and there were lots of people eating on a Wednesday night, many of whom seemed to be locals. The specials menu looked interesting so we hope to return.

Very friendly bar and restaurant. We were staying in Whiting Bay and originally went for a drink and then later the following week also went back for dinner. We both had the Scallops from the specials board and they were some of the freshest tasting I think I have ever had, you could really tell they had only recently been caught. The fish and chips were also very good as well and the wine and cocktails. We plan to come back to stay in Whiting Bay net summer and will definitely be coming back for both drinks and dinner. Note, you cannot book for dinner (but you will be accommodated asap) and also they are not open every day but it is easy enough to see from their website.

The food was decent but we had to sit outside as we have a dog and the food took ages to arrive so we got very cold while waiting. Also the food went cold very quickly due to the wind. Please reconsider your dog policy - lots of places on Arran allow well behaved dogs like ours and we will go there next time as this was not a welcoming or pleasant dining experience. If you won’t review the dog policy then please speed up your service or provide patio heaters and hot plates so your customers and their meals can stay warm!

There's 2 vegan options on menu! That's rare. Had them both and they did the job. Curry could've done with being warm and burger was small, but mustn't grumble. 6 quid a pint. Sadly standard. Most at Whiting Bay. I visited a few weeks ago for lunch to check out if it had improved after hearing so many negative comments. Had a lovely lunch.. Steak and Blue cheese salad. Booked to go tonight with another 2 locals and 2 visitors. What a dissapointment. Cold chips.. Over cooked chicken fillets, tired salad and coleslaw etc etc. Loud inappropriate music. Cold room and no atmosphere. Owner looked like he come off a building site. Embarrassed as I had recommended. When relayed feedback to member of staff they could only keep apologising. No offer of compensation. Stepped out into a pitch black car park.. dangerous. Accident waiting to happen. Not value for money and we all agreed we would not go back

We regularly visit Arran and stay in Whiting Bay twice a year. Felicity's used to be our go to dining place due to their excellent food at affordable prices. Unfortunately since it has changed ownership and become Most it has gone massively downhill. Quite simply we would rather cook at home than come here. I would say that it's like a poor Wetherspoons in terms of quality but very expensive. "a childs portion of fish and chips" (all frozen including veg) was how someone described it to us on our last visit. We really weren't surprised. I can't help but feel that its using the reputation established by the previous owners to gain trade. Quite simply this isn't Felicity's this is Most. There are far better options available on Arran and in Whiting Bay.

Most was the only eatery open in Whiting Bay and don’t they know it! The cod was nicely cooked, but everything else was pretty uninteresting. But the real stinger was the price - £80 for a two-course meal for two with wine! The food is unremarkable and you could probably get better in most pubs. For my starter I had tempura octopus rings. The dipping sauce was in a small plastic container. Had they run out of bowls? The main was luke warm flat iron steak, and the apple crumble desert was microwaved to oblivion and would be better described as "apple crumble soup". They could do so much better with a little bit of effort, but I'm not sure they care that much. Beautiful location.

My family had been regular visitors to this place...until nowStopped by last night at 7.30pm and asked if we could sit outside for dinner. After looking at the menu we chose what we were having and went to the bar to order at 7.50pm. After waiting in the queue for around 5 minutes, we went to order and the barmaid said that they stopped serving food at 8pm so would check with the Chef (who is also the owner) if they would be able to serve us. After speaking to him, another waitress came out and said sorry we wont be able to cook you dinner as the kitchen closes in two minutes. ARE YOU HAVING A LAUGH???! You have watched me stand in a queue behind two people, and you are going to refuse our order. After a couple minutes of back and forth and the waitress thretening for the Chef to come and explain to us...they finally gave in.We were so flabbergasted! Never heard in my life a kitchen knocking back an order before the kitchen actually closes....especially after the waiting/bar team knew we were sitting outside about to order food. Even if it was 8pm on the dot, surely you would be desperate for business and take the order considering the loss suffered by Covid...Staff were not the best at communicating and were rather rude. And for a Chef who is also of the owner of the place to refuse business is nuts and unheard of.Food was nice when it came however the attitude and first impressions put a serious dampner on the night. We felt like we werent wanted and had to put up a fight to get our dinner.Wont be back!

We visit here for dinner three or four times a year - each time we go to Arran. That probably says it all! Food is excellent. Felicity and staff most welcoming and helpful. We just won't miss a chance to visit. Oh, and best to book.

Super tasty chip shop grub located on the seafront. I ordered the double battered sausages and chips with a side of haggis. Food was really lovely & all cooked fresh to order. Pleasant staff here too. I'll be back for more when next in the area.

We were made very welcome by all staff who quickly put us at ease about taking our dog into the hotel. Food was excellent- I had fish and chips whilst my wife had the vegan version. Both meals were first class. We will be back this week without a doubt.
