Authentic chippie serving really great chips and various accompaniments. Much better than more modern establishments in the area.

Had the large cod and chips. Chips were well cooked and fairly crispy. Cod was 7/10. Nice enough but batter was a bit on the oily side for me.

They don’t have a clue. She thinks she knows everything. It was her hubby that made that place. Fish supper tonight was disgusting.

Still the best chippy in EK by far. Chicken pakora is awesome and a great portion size aswell. Staff are friendly and helpful also.

Well we had a church gathering for 60 adults and children the food was delivered on time piping hot freshly cooked and reasonably priced , I would highly recommend the Manhattan for any party or function

Always had decent food from here. They also sell thorntonhall farm ice cream which is amazing. Much better than the supermarket luxury brands.

It is what it is. It sells fried potatoes, fish, sausages and an assortment of other things. Always good with salt and vinegar.

Complained about our order. Part of it was cold, another 2 items were burnt! Because I wanted whole order remade I got told no and they would collect food and drop money off. Driver still kept the tip right enough!!

Aún así una buena tienda de chips pero bastante a menudo que los pequeños huesos en mi cena de pescado, así que es un poco de TBH putting green. En general muy bueno, pero podría ser mejor. Hace unos cuantos años éste era el "fish and chips" que pedían desde pero ahora estoy mucho más exigente.

Was passing through EK and hungry. Spotted the chippy and glad we decided to stop. Great food, pizza was excellent, freshly make with good base. Fish and chips were great. Will be back next time I am around that part of the town,

visited the subject premises for an evening snack i found the portions small and not really value for money ,the quality of the food was very greasy ,i will go elsewhere next time.

Although I used to stay in East Kilbride, I had never used this chipper before - wrong side of the town! I was staying with my son in Calderwood and, returning home after a function, decided I needed some fast food. I went to the Manhattan to see what their fare was like. Boy was I pleasantly surprised.Being mid-week and not yet near the busy time (pubs emptying) there was not a lot ready cooked but, as I checked out what was available, the gentleman behind the counter straightways offered to put something on for me if I wished. However, I declined his offer and chose a steak pie supper. Good choice. The chips, a good portion, were chunky and firm and the pie was excellent. Top pastry crisp and flaky with the bottom being soft but not soggy and stodgy. There were plenty good chunks of meat (not a trace of gristle) in a tasty gravy which was not gloopy.I would have no hesitation in buying from here again.
