We fondly remembered the sandwich station from a previous visit to the island a few years ago, so we just had to visit again during our latest holiday. We ate here twice during our week (once with the Mogabout island tour) and we were not disappointed. They still serve great sandwiches on great bread so if you are visiting Arran you have to go there. Just make sure you are hungry as the sandwiches are substantial.

Just had one of the most enjoyable meals in a very long time. One if the best restaurants in Ayrshire. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Totally mouthwatering dishes. Loads of choice and fresh ingredients used throughout. The lamb I had just fell off the bone and was lovely and tender. Plenty of parking spaces outside. Totally recommended!

Sunday lunch the 26th of November and fully booked months ago. Easy to see why....Fantastic food great ambience and service. Very relaxing better than any Glasgow or London experience. Starters of local crab and stuffed mushrooms followed by the most delightful local lamb and beautifully cooked Haddock.Topped of by a lovely home made carmel and apple pie....a byo and no corkage charge . A big thankyou to bRino? In the kitchen and wonderful service from Valirie and Jessica..Alan and Christina Dunn Largs....a must visit for good food lovers.

I’d come to Arran solely so I could eat at Mara. Kirsty and Gordon ( and Flora) run a fantastic little restaurant. The food has not been less than excellent and the service is friendly and welcoming. As they warn on their website the seating inside is limited but there are benches right outside or even on the beach side of the road. We ate here 5 times in 7 days this visit (brunch and late lunch on Sunday!) Already planning to get back here next year.

A great hidden gem. We hadn’t booked but they managed to accommodate for us by giving us a table outside, which was a lovely area. I would recommend booking though as it was very busy! Only struggle was finding what to choose on the menu as it all looked so lovely. I had the lasagne which was so well made and a great portion. We also loved seeing the goats and alpacas :) we will 100% be back!

Terrific to find a multi-award-winning vegan cafe in Ayr. Delicious, healthy food and friendly and welcoming staff. Busy and a great find. Highly recommended.

Sadly the Biggar Flavour bakery shop closed on 29 June 2019. The owners continue to operate "The Orchard" next door where some of their bakery products are still made available along with jams, preserves, etc. The main difference is that they no longer provide sandwiches, ready made meals or hot savoury items.

Strolled round from our cottage for breakfast and what a treat . Delicious full breakfast and home cooked beans which made a welcome change . Lovely service . Everything on the plate was tasty and great quality . My dog even had a doggy ice-cream. Hope to go tomorrow as well . Friendly laid back little venue with a magnificent harbour view .

We hadn't booked. So just walk ins. Ordered 4 starters as our first visit so not quite sure of the menu: Vegetable Spring Rolls; Vegetable Momo; Honey Chicken & Chicken Chhoila (which was chili hot 🔥). Absolutely delicious 10 out of 10 for flavour, service and the all important check backs by the waiting staff after our starters were placed. Momo's were made to order, signposted as 30mins, so we had the other 3 delivered whilst we waited. Not disappointed either. Elegant level of warm spices wrapped up in little bundles of love. We will be coming again to try the mains, and most likely the deserts. Thank you to all the staff.
