A delicious meal, in a delightful restaurant, with a heavenly view, served by friendly and professional staff. Our entire party had a wonderful time and loved the food, drinks, service and atmosphere. If you're going to Largs for the day, you should stop here for lunch or dinner; it is so much better than the over-rated Nardini's, it's a real hidden gem!

I took friends on 6 September this year and was bitterly disappointed. As my friends don't live by the sea I thought it would be an ideal venue. I phoned to book a window table. They couldn't guarantee a window table. Strange! Luckily a window table is what we got. We ordered 3 soft drinks, one fish and chips, one small steak pie and one regular steak pie. My two guests said their meal was ok. Mine was not. A great big fish was plonked on top of the chips making it difficult to get into. When I did manage to cut the fish it broke up. I couldn't pick it up on the fork. I left most of my meal. Very disappointing for my friends and I. We sat for almost an hour and not one waitress came to ask if everything was ok, if we wanted a sweet menu or coffee. There were four staff on and the restaurant was not what I would call busy. On leaving I took the plate to the till and explained the situation. I was offered the drinks for free. Not good enough. The girl went into what I presume was the kitchen and came back with the reply that I would be charged £6.47 (half the cost of my meal) and free drinks for all of us. At no point did the manageress or chef come to speak to me. I left totally disheartened and sorry for my friends who I promised a lovely afternoon. I live in Largs where there are lots of lovely Coffee Shops and Restaurants and I was unlucky enough to chose this one. Never again Carol

We've been to Clyde Kitchen before and we weren't disappointed with our visit this time. We had a window seat so enjoyed a great view. The meal was excellent and a lovely ambience.

1st time dining here was impressed with the cleanliness and how polite the staff were The steak pie was probably the best I’ve have ever eaten in my 60 odd years i wil definitely be back and back again. Keep up the 1st class service.

Visited on Tues 11 July. Restaurant was busy which gave a great atmosphere. We had soup and sandwiches (but a wide range of home cooked mains are available) which were all fresh with plentiful fillings. We added on chips and onion rings which were huge and homemade - delicious. Very reasonably priced and a special mention to the staff who coped with the busy lunchtime with ease, smiles and professionalism. This is a gem of a place, right on the waters edge and highly recommended.

Just popped in on my way to visit my mum. Had the delicious homemade soup and some cakes (shouldn't have but they looked too good). Got served quickly. Elaine (easy to remember her name 🙂) was very friendly and recommend the soup as we were only in for a snack. Always have staff going out of their way for us whenever I come with my elderly mum. Nothing is too much bother. It was the same yesterday. Would definitely recommend if you're passing on your way to/from Largs.

On arrival the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy. Table was found quite quickly and menus supplied. And then the wait began! Waited a very long time for someone to come and take our order. Plenty of staff were clearing and cleaning tables but when I asked if someone would take our order I was told “she’ll be along shortly”. It was some time later before “someone” came. On paying the bill I was asked if everything was alright. I commented that the service was very slow. To which I was told “there’s only me taking the orders”! Not really what you want to hear as a customer who has no control over staffing! I very much bounty I will be returning!!

We'd passed Clyde Kitchen a few times and decided to call in for lunch. We had the steak and ale pie and haddock and chips. Service very friendly and food excellent. Seems to be a catering facility which also serves the adjacent apartments.

Our thanks to Danny and his crew for the superb service, excellent fare, and exceptional service following our family funeral. The location was perfect with the gorgeous views over the Clyde.

We noticed The Clyde Kitchen whilst driving between Weymss Bay and Largs. On our final morning having stayed in Wemyss Bay we decided to stop for breakfast. The staff were warm and welcoming and the restaurant was very spacious, spotlessly clean with sea views. When our cooked breakfast arrived the attention to detail was amazing. The teacups were warm, the teabag in the teapots were tied around the handle so they didn’t fall into the pot, the breakfast was cooked to perfection. The bacon was crispy, none of the items were running into each other and when I asked if I could have the breakfast without a couple of items they added more of the ones I had chosen without me evening asking. The quality of the ingredients was very good and the taste superb. The toast and butter were plentiful and nothing was too much trouble. The prices were very reasonable. I have paid a lot more for much less. We could have sat there all day. Our only regret is that we didn’t find this place sooner as the menu for lunch and dinner, including Sunday roast was very tempting. There are also lots of homemade cakes etc that you can takeaway. Finally the toilets were gleaming and smelt so fresh. Thank you Clyde Kitchen.

100% recommend, such a lovely place, gorgeous views, very friendly, kind and helpful staff and the food was first class - accommodated 14 of us without any bother, it really is somewhere to visit if you’re in the area, it’s amazing x

We were staying at the caravan park at Wemyss Bay and decided to give the clyde kitchen a try. It was so good we went back again. On our first visit, we both had a fish high tea, such good value for money and food was without fault. We returned on our last evening, I had steak pie, and my husband had steak fajitas. Both were perfect, with my other half announcing that these were the best steak fajitas he'd had. We rounded dinner off with apple crumble which was also delicious. £42 for 2 courses and 2 glasses of wine and a soft drink. Would absolutely return, staff were lovely and food was of a high standard.

Have been a couple of times to this great wee restaurant. It is definately a hidden gem. Once for an omelette breakfast and once for lunch. The food on both occasions was really good and the views are lovely. Staff are so friendly and welcoming.

I have been several times now for lunch or dinner and every visit has been super in every way - well prepared food that tastes delicious, served by a helpful, friendly team of waiting staff - and of course a lovely view.
