Decided on a spot of lunch so headed here, we had a delightful lunch, served relatively quickly and the food was fresh. Washed down with a coffee and after a little visit to a rather unique little gift shop. Well done all.

We have just had a lovely steak dinner. Lynne, Andrew and the other staff could not have been more attentive. The restaurant was very busy but they made sure we had everything to our liking. The food and wine were excellent. Another great night enjoying their amazing hospitality. Thank you!

Cheery, bustling wee cafe off the motorway in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire. We decided to book last minute and a table was available at opening. The Eggs Benedict was delicious and the All Day Breakfast was very tasty - especially the Wagyu Beef Link and Wagyu Square Sausage! Didn’t enjoy the Haggis but it was a minor thing, individual tastes and all that. We are already planning our next meal back!

For the price of steaks, they were of poor quality; we’ve had nicer from Waitrose: one wasn’t as bad (though worth a quarter of the 36 quid cost) but the other looked more like a minute steak and wasn’t cooked rare (mixture of rare, medium and well done). Not worth the money but the staff are lovely and the manager knocked one of the steaks off the price but we won’t be back.

I was in with my family yesterday for lunch and we had a great experience. Fast efficient service, staff were lovely and very friendly. The food was fantastic and i was meant to return today with my mum but due to the storm it is closed. Nice to see Greenhall are putting their staff and customers first.

The cafe was not so particularly busy that it would have excused the service that I am complaining about. The waitress asked if I was ready to order, and I asked, "Could I have a few minutes more to see the menu detail. After 10 minutes and despite attempting to signal our waitress, I asked another to take our food and drinks order. The soup arrived with a side portion of bread and butter, but only a spoon , no knife, and no napkin. My partner had to rise from our table and ask for the items at the cash desk. Our main courses arrived within a reasonable time scale and were of excellent quality and presentation. It was after this that again, the service failed. We had finished and were awaiting the table cleared and any requests that we may have had to finish our lunch. Alas, it was a wait in vain, I eventually rose and paid for my bill at the cash desk. One other thing I did note was that our table number was 13. I am not normally superstitious, but you do wonder! It was a disappointment, but as I have said, the food was fresh and wholesome.

A great hidden gem. We hadn’t booked but they managed to accommodate for us by giving us a table outside, which was a lovely area. I would recommend booking though as it was very busy! Only struggle was finding what to choose on the menu as it all looked so lovely. I had the lasagne which was so well made and a great portion. We also loved seeing the goats and alpacas :) we will 100% be back!

We called into Greenhall Country Cafe on our way back from our holiday in Aviemore. I had read up on it previously & was keen to try the Wagu steak. Our lunch experience was wonderful The steak baguettes with chilli cheese were delicious. My husband had a burger meal & he too enjoyed that The grandkids enjoyed their meals from the kids menu. We’ll work a visit, we will call again most definitely when in that direction again. Staff were nice friendly & helpful & a nice little shop there too. One to definitely try.

Great eggs Benedict, not had better anywhere else. Good strong but not bitter coffee and friendly staff. Toilet immaculate which would put some establishments in Glasgow to shame. I also get my Wagu sausage and steak in the farm shop which very tasty. I only wish I lived nearer to Greenhall, we travel 17 miles to get food and their Wagu sausages and steak. The cafe gets busy so I always book a table.

The farm has a monthly steak night, I had been taken there in May, and it was so good I asked if we could book a table for the July event , to celebrate my son's birthday. (unfortunately I forgot to review the May event, sorry!) My table for 5 turned up at 7 for our booked table, we were greeted warmly and the table was ready. Don't expect lavish surroundings, this is the farm's coffee shop you are in, but it is light and clean. I am there for the food, not the soft furnishings! :-) We had preselected our steaks, so only had to order drinks and starters. The wine is ridiculously good value, so we had a bottle of red at £17.50 and the Whispering ANgel at £28. Starters were prawn cocktail (deliciously old school) , the Transylvanian sausage (lovely) and the sharing platter (also lovely). No complaints and clean plates all round. Then the steaks, THE STEAKS!!! We had all chosen the Wagyu ribeye. At £37 it is already great value compared to City Centre pricing (£85 in Gaucho if you are interested) but these are also HUGE! Served with homemade chips, tomato, mushroom and a choice of sauce, these were absolutely perfect, cooked exactly as requested and the best steak I have ever had. We could not finish them all, so some of the party took theirs home, but still found room to share the Chocolate fudge cake and the sticky toffee pudding, both also delicious. The toffee pudding came out with a birthday candle in it, the hosts obviously noted that down when I mentioned in May, which I thought was a lovely touch and showed the level of customer care. All in all, a phenomenal dinner, great food and great staff, at a reasonable price, £270 for generous servings of great food for 5 people. My whole party were blown away. Will definitely be back at another steak night - make sure you book ahead of time!

Always enjoyed my breakfast roll and hot drink at Greenhall in the past but was disappointed today. I had ordered a cappuccino which on arrival turned out to be more like a latte. Not wanting such a milky coffee I mentioned it and was made a second one. Again, I got a latte in a cappuccino cup. I didn't drink my coffee and on leaving was asked by a member of staff of staff what was wrong with it. I said that it wasn't a cappuccino and i didn't like lattes. To which I was told "that's how we make them here". So I paid for a coffee that I didn't drink and will think twice before returning.

I got a cheese & onion panini and my Mum got a cheese & onion toastie. Both of these came with coleslaw and a side salad with some dressing. We also got a portion of skin-on fries to share. This was my first visit to this café but I would most definitely return! The food was very reasonably priced, staff were friendly and there was a wide variety to choose from. Overall, a very pleasant visit.

Fabulous authentic food We visited this for a Saturday evening opening. We both enjoyed our food, sharing the kottu and rice platter . Both were delicious, freshly prepared & cooked . The service was genuinely friendly and helpful . If , like us , you enjoy real food prepared when ordered , you can't fail to enjoy the food at Barn Street .

Broke our journey to grab a hot takeaway drink. Great coffee (latte), at a very reasonable price, served by a young lady who was very pleasant. Next time we are driving through Carnwath, we will be trying the cafe attached to the shop, to sample some of the delicious looking cakes and savouries which were on display.
