A clean relaxed atmosphere whilst adhering to current COVID-19 ruling. The staff are friendly and efficient whilst serving tasty snacks and meals. A variety of dishes available both for vegetarians and meat eaters and if vegan - just ask as they state on their menu that they can accommodate you! Well priced and good portions. The tables are all dressed in pure white linen, which in itself is inviting. Dining can be taken indoors or outdoors when the weather allows, plus a dog bowl outside which means pooches are allowed w-hey! Just another mention for the staff as they go above and beyond during very difficult times within hospitality-WELL DONE! We will be back:-)

My mothers side of the family all originate from Lanark, and it has probably been the best part of close to 20 years since I last visited. After a day out with my family in the Clyde Valley, we decided to pop in to Lanark so I could see my grandparents house and for a visit to New Lanark. Around 5pm we decided to make our way home, but knew it would be close to 7pm before we were home, so decided to go for something to eat. We planned to eat on the main street, but when parking our car, out the corner of our eye we noticed a little place tucked down a little alleyway. Upon further inspection we were really happy with the look of the Hidden Courtyard, and decided on the spot to go here. Really fantastic and welcoming vibe to this place and staff are fantastic. Its bring your own bottle, and there is a Aldi next door where you can purchase alcohol for your meal. Pretty good menu, with my wife ordering the fish and chips, I went for the burger and my two daughters the mac n' cheese. Excellent and fresh food that was ready in no time, and resulted in 4 empty plates. My daughters had the "pizza"/"posh crepe" deserts, which resulted in two more empty plates. All in all a wonder time had here and next time we are in Lanark, we will return here again.

Been a few times with family and friends. Recommend the mixed grill and fish and chips. The Bacon burger is the best burger, it has layers of delicious flavours.

I am furious because of the locks in the bathroom. I went to the bathroom and needed to use the toilet so I locked the door obviously. When I was about to leave I was locked in there for a solid 20 minutes. Food was great though and amazing service will go again if they fix the locks
