Beefeater Hamilton in South Lanarkshire

One of if northern best Beefeater i have been to, and i have been to a lot whilst travelling for work. Service was superb, steak was cooked perfect which seems to be rare these days. Highly recommended.

If I could rate it 10 Stars I wow you have to go in there I Recommend it so much and it is amazing 👍🥰 I love it so much you have to do it

Staying at the Premier Inn Hamilton for a few nights, I met up with family for lunch and breakfast at the Beefeater. The customer service was exceptional. Many thanks to Sam and Angela in the restaurant, as they made us feel welcome from the outset and their friendly, helpful disposition continued throughout our stay. The food was scrumptious too!

Busting area for the weekend, easy to dinner slot on line. Staff were beyond helpful and very friendly. Angela was our waitress and she was so lovely and sorted out blue light discount which wasn’t working properly. Food was good, only thing I’d suggest is don’t offer battered fish with skin on one side, this was off putting for both my daughter and I though we didn’t complain as enjoyed the rest of our meal. Great value for money

Lovely staff but prices are ridiculous

Food and service was excellent but the restaurant was so cold . I asked for heating to be put up but didn't seem to make any difference. We ate our food with our coats on and couldn't wait to get out of there . Several members of staff had big cardigans on so they obviously felt it cold very disappointed as it ruined our experience.

Staff were attentive food was very good. The Ribeye steak was excellent.

Would definitely not consider this a steakhouse, more like a pub. Festive burger was quite plain and dry, could barely taste the cranberry sauce. chips were good. And desert wasn't bad, but still not good enough. Sirloin steak ordered was asked for as well done but came burnt, the staff did follow policy and offered to take it off the bill but since we were starving it was eaten and we said not to take it off the bill, we really just wanted the chef to know that the food was not to par with any decent steakhouse quality food. Nor was it tasty. We had just been on a 6 hour drive to get here so we just dealt with it and moved on. Have to say the part that really annoyed me is that the bill was brought to me and I had to wait 20 minutes before I actually got up and went to pay at the bar for this meal. And then the till wasn't working. The waitress who brought the bill to the table initially just ignored me while holding the card reader in her hand. The bartender, was very nice,kind, efficient and friendly. Our second waitress who we initially gave the feedback about the food to was very nice, but the other waitress just didn't care. Needless to say I obviously won't be back here again. Also I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking to eat at a real steakhouse. This is not a steakhouse. It's a glorified pub. The chef is a pub chef. Highly disappointing.

All the staff here are truly lovely. Niamh was our server today and was great, and Tracy the manager will do everything she can help you. We come regularly for family meals, and the food is always really well prepared and very tasty! Been to a few beefeaters and this is by far the best!

Lovely relaxing space and reasonable prices

Booked a table for 5 to celebrate my sons birthday. On arrival we were given menus which was totally different from previous visits. Was told it was the winter menu? Very little choice. Ok if you wanted burger or steak. We left and went to another restaurant. We will not be back.

Our waiter today was Logan, his badge said that he was in training and we loved his hard work ethic and care. Amazing hard work looking after us. We appreciated his effort and the training he has had. Very high standard.

I have visited three times now and I’ve been happy with the food and service on all occasions, Debbie is so lovely and helpful, she’s exactly who you want to see in the morning to help you with breakfast

Breakfast following hotel stays cooked fresh and quickly. Restaurant kept very clean. Waiting staff excellent. Debbie very accommodating and friendly.... So cheerful even first thinf in the morning

Stayed at the Premier Inn next door and had breakfast here three days on the trot. An excellent quality freshly cooked breakfast every day with great service from Debbie, who is an absolute delight.

Decided to just have some starters and a dessert. Really enjoyed it. Very good service from very friendly and attentive staff. Becky our server was very knowledgeable and looked after all our needs.

Good everyday food at reasonable prices , good for families, something for everyone.

Been a few times with family and friends. Recommend the mixed grill and fish and chips. The Bacon burger is the best burger, it has layers of delicious flavours.

Attention to detail was great. Sam noticed that I carried a white cane and immediately offered me a large print/braille menu. She told me that my drinks. Were at my left hand. In my opinion this is not the norm and it was so refreshing. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Food was fantastic. Well worth a visit

Sunday Roast dinner... except there's no roast available?!?!? I hardly ever leave reviews but this was not a great experience. Server was lovely and I felt sorry for her when she had to give us the bad news that there was no roast (ie apparently no beef, lamb or chicken)... despite us booking for 6 people on a Sunday for, guess what... Sunday Roast. The reason given was that a table of 13 before us had finished off the roasts. Really? We could possibly have believed that if the restaurant was full but it was almost empty. This was clearly a management decision about how much-or-little food to prepare. The food we did order was okay. Ribs were dry and the hyped "triple cooked chips" were just like frozen oven chips to me. The server commented on the brownies being frozen, which makes me wonder if most of the food is. Beefeater... if you are going to advertise Sunday Roast and expect local people to support and become regulars, then surely the most basic thing is to make sure you have the food. I don't honestly think we would go back (for Sunday roast), simply because it feels like you're gambling on there being food available.

Stayed over at the Premier Inn having breakfast at the Beefeater Hamilton, the manager DJ is doing a fantastic job managing the team ensuring first class standards of food and cleanliness, customers are happy enjoying their meals and running the restaurant effectively and efficiently without compromising on quality. Keep up the great work👍

This was a great wee spot for a nice steak and not expensive at all . Food was great and staff were so nice friendly and accommodating.

Again absolutely no fuss, great food and the personal service Highly recommend this hotel and the restaurant as well. The hotel is a premier inn and if you haven’t tried it YET get yaself a good reasonably priced room for work or play.

We were served by Rachel aka Rob/Rab. Very helpful and friendly. Great choice on the menu, but we both ordered fish and chips. Massive fish, and all served hot on warm plates. The meal was nice and fresh and served in good time. Our server couldn't have done more for us. The surroundings were nice and the restaurant was busy. We will go back.

We had a lovely meal at the Beefeater. The steak was cooked to perfection and all the food was delicious. I have ordered steaks many times and been disappointed as it wasn’t cooked properly but tonight it was absolutely delicious and so reasonably priced. We chose from the evening menu but the special menu looked amazing too Angela was really friendly and helpful. It was a lovely evening overall. We had a lovely bottle of Malbec which was also very tasty and reasonably priced

Two children’s meals very disappointing they certainly don’t like putting mashed potatoes on their plates. Had to complain twice about this. Expensive for what is on offer I thought.

Having visited previously with 2 grandsons and enjoying it so much I booked for my husband's birthday. Both of our starters and mains were faultless and our server Angela was very attentive and extremely pleasant. We both agreed we'll be back and have been recommending to family and friends. Great food, drink, service and atmosphere.

Booked a table for 5pm. Arrived at 4.50 meal eventually arrived at 5.55. We ordered the Sunday Roast for the 3of us. This was the first time we visited this restaurant and will never be back. Lamb was off the menu because they had none even though it was on the Sunday Roast menu.. The roast chicken was pale and looked like it was boiled and not roasted. The skin was white and soggy. We could only pick around the vegetables. To be fair the table staff were apologetic and only charged for 2 dinners. Staff were nice but is a restaurant and we gauge by the food. It was terrible

Waiter was very polite. I received a special folder for what is in your food for my nut allergy. The chicken was very good and super tasty

My son and I visited this Beefeater for an evening meal on our way to the Highlands. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. We will visit this restaurant in the future.

Can’t fault this place. Excellent service from all the staff especially from Angela our server from start to finish. Great atmosphere and great with the kids in our party too. Had a 50% off voucher but service was still 100%. Well done Hamilton Beefeater!

Great service as usual, quite busy for a Wednesday evening as the 40% off mains offer was on. Rachel & the rest of the staff managed to keep on top of the things without any tables being neglected. We were told on arrival that they were busy & only had one grill chef so things may take longer than normal but we didn't really notice any delay.

The waitress was confusing us the way she took our order, the final bill was a lot more than we thought.

We enjoyed a lovely family Sunday lunch at this restaurant. We had actually booked for Sunday lunch at the Beefeater, Black Bear in Uddingston, but unfortunately this has fallen foul of the Premier Inn restaurant cuts, so we were all very disappointed about that because we regularly ate at the Beefeater Black Bear (we were even able to book a table although the restaurant was shut!). However, Angela, who served us at the Hamilton Beefeater, was friendly, efficient and attentive, which helped ease our disappointment at having to visit a different Beefeater restaurant. Thank you, Angela!

Had a fantastic waitress, Sam (red hair) who was extremely attentive, welcoming and super friendly. Good place to work with a laptop as it’s comfortable and very spacious. Good cheap lunch menu offering. Can’t go wrong.

Popped in today for lunch with my wife. This was our first visit here and we’ll definitely be back! Very friendly, welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant, the staff are really attentive and helpful. And of course, the food was delicious! Five stars well deserved.

Went 4 breakfast for my autistic sons 14th birthday coz hes really fussy and breakfast was great and service was amazing and they even gave my son a box of chocolates and a card he was over the moon

We went to celebrate a birthday. The food was excellent and service excellent. The staff were also brilliant and polite.

When you are in Hamilton staying for the night and going to see a show, then the place that I am about to review is the place for you, and that place is Beefeater Hamilton. We visited Beefeater Hamilton last night when we were staying at the Premier Inn next door before going to see Nathan Carter at Hamilton Townhouse where I had a delicious gammon steak served with a fried egg, pineapple ring along with chips and peas which I absolutely enjoyed and I would recommend. Other reasons why I liked Beefeater Hamilton are that the place is clean, the welcome is warm and the staff are friendly. I would recommend this place

We were a walk in table of 10 on a Saturday night. Couldn't believe how good the service was from every member of staff and even with the kids really patient and polite. Without a doubt the best Beefeater experience we had Thank-you. Food was fantastic too.

We had a very enjoyable meal at this establishment on Saturday night the staff were friendly helpful and efficient.the food was also first class would recommend anyone to visit.

We were greeted by Allison , who showed us to our favourite table, the food was amazing as always, and nice sized portions, Allison took time to encourage my Grandaughter to try chicken with her salad as it was tastier than a plain salad, we like coming in at 12pm as it is nice and quiet and does not overwhelm my granddaughter

I cannot fault the staff they bend over backwards to ensure you are happy. They are professional and friendly, I travel through work and sometimes it can be daunting sitting on your own. The staff are very friendly, I always have dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. In the mornings Debbie and Alice look after me. We have a little chat as I am down early. The evening staff from check in, to restaurant are also lovely. I never feel like I need to rush, even when the restaurant is busy at night. I would just like to add Premier Inns are my second home during the week, however the staff definitely shine in this one, credit to the company 😁.

This is the 3rd time we’ve been to this beefeater, 2 adults and 2 grandkids, staff very friendly, service really good. We’ll definitely be going back

I was out for a birthday lunch with my family. The service we received from Sophie was wonderful. My 5 year old grandson said it was the best food he’s had 😂😂😂👍. I was given a birthday card and a box of fudge which was a really nice touch. On paying the bill we were asked if we were members which we forgot about the loyalty membership and we received 40% off main meals. What a great service and a very nice birthday treat. Thanks x

Admittedly, i was a little sceptical of this place, i thought it might be like wetherspoons, but i was pleasently surprised. The restaurant full of attentive staff, the food was good quality and a decent price. We both really enjoyed our meal, I had veg skewers,.he had a ribeye steak and we shared a biscoff sundae. Cocktails were nice too. Thank you to all the staff, particularly Rachel.

Just had a absolutely lovely little meal served admirably by Jennifer and Cameron to who nothing was a bother and always a smile😁 One of the best ribeye stakes I’ve ever had so bravo to the chef who is always forgotten…. Top job I say!...
