The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

I was recommended the boathouse by a friend and I have never had such a wonderful lunch. I had scallops with a tomato and oregano cream to start and the Stone Bass Fillet with Blueshell Mussels, Heritage Potatoes, Wild Mushroom & Samphire Cream and I have to say the main goes lovely with their Marlborough Sauvignon blanc and I’m in a food coma. Definitely worth a trip here, you won’t regret it!!

Best fish and chips I’ve had for a while. Don’t normally eat the batter, but it was so light and crispy. Lovely music playing too!

These chips were £4! What an outrage!

Really good, the portions have got smaller and pricey, non the less really good night good service also great seafood as well.

Absolutely delicious food and well clued up on allergies. The young man who greeted us went n double checked with the chef that my dairy n gluten free allergies could be catered for. Lots of choice for a change. Delicious hot food with a lovely out door seating area.

Jetzt kann ich verstehen, warum die Leute so gerne Fish and Chips essen. Sehr nettes Personal, Fisch ganz frisch zubereitet. Einfach nur lecker.

Went for lunch and dinner as we were in the area for a few days. Lunch was ok👍. Dinner not so good, over cooked salted potatoes, salad drenched in oil and the bread was under cooked. We were the last table booked so I guess they let the fire run down hence the under cooked bread. Overall we were disappointed.

Booked the Old Sail Loft in March for our visit over Easter, booking was confirmed, and we thought all was well when we set off from Manchester to make the 5 hour journey down to Lovely Looe...It wasn't until the day before our reservation that we noticed it was closed and a non-informative message scribbled on a blackboard outside about it being closed. I emailed the owner to check whether or not our reservation was going to happen the following night, only to receive an abrupt response saying no it wasn't...!?!?! No apology or alternative...? So basically, If i hadn't been there the day before we would've turned up to an empty/closed restaurant as they didn't have the common decency to let us know...In times of economic troubles this isn't how i would run a business if i was trying to attract returning customers... Bad practice all round...

Top notch food and service! We booked a romantic dinner for two, 30th Oct. The fish platter was just amazing! Cooked to perfection. Staff, we're freindly and professinol. We would highly reccomend, and we would visit again when we're back in the area.

Lovely restaurant situated on the canal side with plenty of paid for parking nearby. The staff were welcoming and attentive during our visit. We didn’t eat a full meal on this occasion but the food being served to others looked very good. The cakes we had were yummy and good value. With seating inside and out, it’s worth a try.

Went. Here for the first time last weekend, very impressed with the fish and chips we had freshly cooked and great value would recommend very strongly we sat in there small restaurant great service and very clean. Will definitely be returning soon
