Don’t bother wasting your money at this fish and chip shop. No cod available at 6.30pm. Haddock was dry and very small. Like no haddock I have had before. Small overcooked fillet with Greasy batter. Chips weren’t nice either. Mushy peas tasted different to any others too. This was the only choice as the other fish and chip shops were closed. Reading other reviews I’m hoping I don’t have any after effects! Left most of my dinner.

Visited this restaurant tonight, waitress took our order which consisted of a sharing platter for a starter, surf & turf steak, and a burrito for our mains. The starter never turned up, instead we got our mains. We decided to take the mains as long as the starter is taken off the bill. The burrito was ok, however the steak was terrible. Full of gristle and little meat for £24.99 for a steak I expect better. The steak wasn't half eaten and a waiter asked how was the food. We told him it was terrible (we explained why) and asked for the bill. The bill was over £80 and we argued that the state of the steak should reflect the bill, and since the steak was inedible then it should be taken off the bill. The bill came back at half price so was happy to pay. The people at the next table told us that their food was awful too and we all agreed that we wouldn't return. It wasn't busy at all so that excuse couldn't be used.

The Good - the fish and chips were lovely, when you eventually get them (see The Bad). The Bad - their food is made on order, so not like a conventional fish and chip shop where the food is pretty much already made and the service is fast. I was in the queue for probably 3 quarters of an hour (no exaggeration). As soon as you’re inside the shop, you’re asked what you want, which gives you a false sense of optimism. It just means your food is made on order though. Meanwhile, all the customers in front of you, once they start being served at the till, take about 10 minutes each. There is only one person serving and two people cooking. I understand why they’re doing this - it’s to increase their margin and avoid wastage. But all that comes at a cost to the customer who suffers awful service. Maybe think about having two people on service and see your reviews regularly scoring 5.

Depends who cooks the prawn noodles- Normally we travel to get these- a couple of times the noodles have been really dry and tasteless- sometimes one of the ladies always seems to forget our order and have to keep bugging them as to where it is- the seafood flake is banging- but lacks prawn- just a lot of mashed up Crabsticks with mayo and at now £8 a pot it’s getting f a bit too expensive- bobs however round the corner gives you plenty of prawns with your flake 🤫
