With a business colleague we’d walked past B&L many times and always commented about how nice the bar looked. So we booked the other night & we were not disappointed. Best server ever in Yaz, helped us choose & a lesson in dismantling the lobster. Food was so extremely tasty and great quality, good wine selection and all very good value for what & where you are eating. Will be back.

Visited in the week with a friend after drinks nearby, at 730pm was disappointed to be told they were full by an obviously stressed manager, so quickly used the toilet, however on my return then recognised as a regular by a server an area was found at the bar for my friend and I, after this service was faultless, drinks were plentiful and chilled, food sublime, especially the Lobster rolls, which you must try! the Wagu croquettes starter a close second, my special thanks to Roberto for the service and Nayara for moving heaven and earth to find us a space, it was much appreciated!

Got the Beast burger With lobster. Tasty and the meat was ok. French fries though not what I would expect (prefried??). A bit pricey also for the size of the burger. Service was cordial and impeccable.

Me and my Wife visited as we were in London for a Concert. We shared the Combo for 2 which was amazing!! Staff were extremely friendly, service was quick and the food was worth every penny. Wouldn’t hesitate returning in the future. 👍🏻

Best burger I have tasted, the overall meal was fab (shared a combo). They also found my wallet and called my son (who made the reservation) to advise. As I live miles away they kindly posted it to me and quickly. Thank you Katia and the Team. What a great outcome x

Disappointing - on arrival was asked if i could have the allergy menu and was told they didn't have one and the server would be able to help. not filled with confidence. This listing claimed they have gluten free options - this is simply not true. No gluten free bread, chips/fries are cooked in contaminated oil. Servers didnt know whether condiments were gluten or dairy free. I order oysters as a starter, because they were happy hour £1 each. Trouble is the kitchen hadn't learned how to shuck them properly. All six were full of broken shell, some were shredded (this happens when the oyster knife doesn't make a clean cut) I had the Lobster & Burger Combo - very tasty and very well cooked , although the beaf patty was on the small side - could've been bigger given they saved on the bun!

Visited with as a group of 5 and had an excellent time. Venue was tasteful and spacious, food was superb and reasonably priced. Would absolutely return and recommend.

Horrible experience. Lunch time very busy. We did not have a reservation, so had to wait 40 minutes for a table, but sat at the bar and ordered drinks whilst waiting. Kiyah took our order and had great customer service and waiting. 5 * to her. I ordered an oyster which was tasty and different and b and l combo- chips and lobster tasted good with the Holy F***k spicy sauce, salad was yummy (spinach, dried beetroot and parmesan with pomegranate sauce) but the burger was not great. Upstairs was clean, toilet was downstairs (alot of stairs to get to it), one toilet was leaking and the rest was clean. After I had two bites into the burger i started to feel hot, sweating belly hurting and nauseous. I had to run to the toilet to vomit. Asked to speak to the manager Ramya and she was adamant it was NOT the food and it was what I ate at home. Was not sympathetic to even offer water just the ambulance to cover themselves and was only talking about the temperatures and standards of all the foods and how many branches there are. As seeing from the amount of reviews I have done I go out to eat alot and have never experienced this in my life. Very disappointed that I spent all that money (£56) on a meal with drinks and leaving unsatisfied and sick. Table spent £299

Visited Burger & Lobster for the first time as a little treat lunch for my mum's birthday. I was expecting the food to be yummy (it was!) but wasn't expecting such good service. Our waitress was really lovely, and I hugely appreciated that they brought out a complementary creme brulee with a candle in it for my mum. I'd let them know it was her birthday ahead of time but this was still a lovely surprise. It's not a cheap place to eat but for a special occasion a worthwhile treat! A special thank you to our waitress who was lovely.

I visited yesterday with my friend (24th), it seemed very nice and the staff were very accommodating when I asked for a plain bun with my burger as I was allergic to sesame seeds, and kindly gave us some extra in our glass each of Prosecco, but when we had the starters (calamari and the lobster croquettes) which were extremely nice, I obviously took too long (I am a very slow eater and need to chew everything and have a sip of water to wash down at least every other mouthful), that they came to the table and the waitress said “I am taking your plate as we have your meals here”, my friend said “but she is still eating” and the waitress then ignored her, I through down my knife and fork on the plate and my friend repeated her question, to which she was ignored again. The main meals were then put in front of us and we were asked if we would like anything else and I asked for mayonnaise. After that the waiter could not do too much for us, (would I like more water, would I like ketchup etc), but by then I was too put out and after mucking about with my burger ended up eating just the gherkin, tomato and onion, as I was not yet ready to take on a full meal and would like to have finished my starter first! My friend’s meal was absolutely delicious, but personally for me my burger was inedible and a waste of money, I ended up wrapping the burger meat and fries in tissue and taking it home for the cats and the birds, so my money was not completely wasted. Why were we rushed? The restaurant was at least half empty, so it is not like they were waiting for the tables? £107.83 later which had the cheek to included £12.83 SERVICE FEE! My friend did give the waiter who gave us the bill some advice not too rush people, as not everyone is a quick eater, and he had the cheek to say “We will remember that for next time” to which I replied “There will not be a next time”. So my advise if you are a slow eater or just want a leisurely meal after a lovely day out is ‘FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE’

Came for a catch up dinner with a friend. Food was amazing as usual, but service was exceptional. Everyone we spoke to was wonderful, but a special mention has to go to our waitress Lolley- she was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and just genuinely fantastic- a real credit to the restaurant!!

Awful. Food was decent but the service was appalling. We had a reservation for a table of 6, there were no tables available so they sat us at a table of 4. Took ages to bring over the required cutlery and glasses. Brought the wrong sauce the meal and took far too long to bring the correct. I don’t mind the mistakes but the attitude of the service was really disappointing.

Had the sharing combo. It was excellent. Great fries. Staff were excellent. Good value. Will come here again.

We visited the Threadneedle St. restaurant on Saturday afternoon after a family trip to The Natural History Museum. The restaurant is very imposing, very light and airy and has a terrific ambiance even though there were only a few people dining. There were four adults and two children in our party, one 6 year old and one nearly 2. From our arrival the staff were brilliant, the service was great and they made our dining experience memorable. There is a really good drinks menu and the food that we ordered was fantastic. Three of us ordered Lobster rolls with fries and one ordered the burger and fries and a side of Lobster Mac and cheese. The children also had burgers. All the dishes were really tasty and it is a rare occurrence to actually get a burger cooked perfectly medium rare as requested. The staff at this restaurant should be highly commended, they were so good with the children even going so far as showing them the lobsters in the tanks! Thank you. Well done to all, we will definitely be returning in the near future.

I always look forward to my visits to B&L, principally because it's a rare treat to have freshly cooked lobster. I'm not sure what was going on in the kitchen in Threadneedle St, but it wasn't freshly cooking trans-Atlantic lobster. I asked for it to be cooked half-and-half (i.e. half boiled and half grilled) but it was 100% boiled.......and to within an inch of oblivion. The meat was soft to the point of being mushy which is such a waste of an expensive animal/crustacean. B&L, if you take the trouble to fly them all the way over from the US then please at least cook them properly. PS my business colleague was also disappointed with his Wagyu Beefburger - but he can write his own review.

We went here for a team dinner. Drinks: there were some interesting cocktails on the menu, I tried a few and they were all lovely. Food: a tried the calamari, lobster roll and crème brûlée. Everything was really good.

Absolutely stunning restaurant in an old banking hall. We love this restaurant so much this was our second visit on a return trip to London. The surroundings are exceptional and the customer service excellent. The food is delicious and we again had the burger, lobster combo which we highly recommend; it’s also a good portion and very filling. We will definitely return again and again.

Wir waren das erste Mal im Burger & Lobster in der Threadneedle Street an einem Sonntag zum Abendessen. Die Location ist schön. Die Atmosphäre, der Dresscode und die Gäste sind locker, casual und ungezwungen. Der Service erfüllt im Allgemeinen seinen Zweck. Ein besonderes Engagement sollte hier aber nicht erwartet werden. Alle Speisen waren frisch, lecker und von guter Qualität. Insbesondere die Meeresfrüchte haben uns überzeugt. Die grilled prawns und die lobster roll haben uns am besten gefallen. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es wegen der relativ langen Wartezeit für die Getränke und die nicht gelieferte zweite Flasche Wasser, die wohl vergessen wurde. Wir sind insgesamt zufrieden und würden wieder bei Burger & Lobster essen gehen.

We firstly ordered drinks, a few minutes later the waiter came back and said they were out of 2 of the beers we had ordered so had a limited choice on what to replace those with. Not all the drinks came and I had to ask twice for my wine. When we ordered our food, my vegetarian friend ordered the plant burger and was told it was sold out, and the only vegetarian options they had were Polenta chips and asparagus which is appalling. My friend had to get a takeaway after as she was left starving. When our food came out, no one asked us if we needed anything else/sauces and no one came and asked how our meal was, which is shocking for a restaurant of this calibre. When the bill came, we had been overcharged on the wine and I had to correct them for this, and I didn’t realise until after that a 13.5% service charge was added, which really was undeserved based on the service we received.

We were concerned after reading some recent reviews. However we found all 5 of our meals were very tasty well prepared and presented. Overall a good atmosphere we would visit again.

I have been in the Threadneedle branch in Bank area (and former bank caveau itself) ideal for big groups. Highly recommended is the Original Whole Lobster steamed and served with onion salad and lemon or garlic butter sauce (in pic) or the Original Lobster Roll, with the lobster dressed in Japanese mayo and lemon, served alongside lemon and garlic butter.Also a good opportunity to get a fresh lobster at a reasonable price in London.

If you ever watched a Gordon Ramsay show and saw him yelling at someone about lobster that is as hard as rubber then you may find yourself eating that piece of lobster here.What is worse is that when I spoke to the waiter about it he just shrugged his shoulders saying that it’s not black so therefore it cannot be overcooked. Furthermore he thinks everyone likes that lobster differently and some lobsters are just very tough to chew.Very disappointing evening after bringing my parents here that just travelled fromhalfway across the world and she was saying that she can’t chew through hers ):

I have been to many Burger and Lobster locations throughout London throughout the past 5 years, I find that it just isn't as good as it was years ago. The prices have increased quite a lot which I find off putting and the food just isn't of the same quality it used to be. We arrived at this location and we waited nearly 45 minutes for someone to come and take a food/drink order, they only came over after I had to go find someone and ask them could we order which wasn't the best service. I just wish this restaurant hadn't lost the appeal it once had, I don't think this is one we will be visiting again.

Visited with Family and Friends for a Belated Birthday Meal. My first visit to this branch of the Restaurant. The waiter was very informative and friendly. Gave us tips on cocktails to order. We shared a couple of starters. The Calamari was very tasty, and portions were generous. We all had the Lobster Roll, some of the group said that the portions had shrunk compared to the last time they ate at the restaurant. I preferred the starters. I will go again for the cocktails and starters. Will have to try a Burger next.
