They are always having a nice chat with us and they give lollipops to my kids for free. The chips are to die for and my personal favourite is their chicken.

Bought fish & chips from here during the week Never again what a rip off the batter on the fish tasted horrid & the chips what you get of them was not that much better What a rip off.

Very tasty curry sauce with chips and sausage deal. Good quality food. I will stop by if I ever drive past this area again, I'm from Leicester locally.

Went in for chips. They don't take card under £5 but the small chips at £2.80 are well worth it. They were fresh, they had good salt not the chappy cheap stuff and the chips were fresh. Best in the area that ice found

Bought fish and chips, small curry sauce and a mini fish on its own and was astonished to be handed £1:10 form the £20 I had given them. Returned home unhappy with the price paid to find my mini fish consisted of a peice of fish no bigger than the falk used to eat with. No kidding when I say 35mm x 140mm. Disgraceful for the price. I like the chap who works there but I'm afraid the owners have way overpriced themselves and looking at other reviews I'm not on my own.

My experience of this chippy,I found d the fish a bit expensive. And the meat boxes lacking.

Seriously gone down hill, keebab out do the tin, ask for it to be cut fresh get attitude, fish tastes like it's been standing a while and chips definitely been standing a while,, use to be so nice now so so bad, staff before were polite, over priced for average food such a shame

We don't get fish and chips very often but looked forward go getting some from the Dolphin. £19.60 for haddock and small chips, curry sauce and a mini fish and chips. I got home and the chips were missing. I drove back and explained and the girl who took my order was rude and argued with me. I asked her to tot my order up on the till. Only then did she admit her mistake. My food was cold and the owner just kept shouting over to just give me my chips. Shocking service and a poor attempt to put things right. As expected the food was cold by the time I had driven home and was not enjoyable at all. Soggy batter, fish with no taste and cold chips! What a waste of £20.

The best in town , spotless as usual. Chips are done to perfection really nice fluffy whits fish and the kebabs are next level

Ordered a fish and chips at lunch time today and the quality has gone down . The chips were over cooked and greasy . The fish batter was chewy and the cod was dry . It went straight into the bin !. Very sad as this used to be a lovely chip shop selling quality food .

Great friendly staff and quick on service

For someone only visiting the area, this was a great find. It was extremely clean and even though I wasn't in there long, as I was having a takeout, the gent behind the counter was very personable. There was plenty to choose from and I felt the food was reasonably priced given the current climate for businesses. The fish and chips were lovely. I will definitely visit again next time I am in the area. Efcharisto.

A chippy that is stingy on the chips is not going to have a good review as a start. More pricey that my regular chippy, meat portion was good. Difficult that l may return though.

They serve the food on paper, also, I hurt my mouth while eating the potatoes due to a plastic that was in them, I came back to show it to him, and his response was: sorry, sometimes it happens... I do not recommend it

Today 4th January 2023 ! I ordered lightly batted Haddock! it wasn’t what I had asked for and size of fish was shocking for £7.60 and chips were all the little left over £2.80 , I asked for a large curry sauce £1.80 and bottle of water £1 total £13.20 paid cash and short changed after giving the guy £20 note and he gave me only £6 back, Never again and recommend you shop around for a better quality and fairly priced Fish and Chips,.

Asked for mixed meat with chips (3 times I asked for the item) but received just plain donner meat with chips, my friend who had sent me was really not happy… I guess I’ll not be sent out again for them anytime soon

Overpriced, overcooked and cold.

Chip were cold, hardly any salt and vinegar. Above all they were pricey. Small size for regularly. Wont ever be going back.

Had kebab meat and salad on our last visit but meat was quite tasteless. Even after asking for extra garlic sauce, it was like someone had shown the meat the sauce but not actually made contact. A little disappointed. Good meat to salad ratio though.

This is my go to place whenever I want Fish N Chips/Kebab etc and yes I live about 15-20 min drive from the place but it NEVER lets me down. The staff are friendly and gentleman who runs the chip shop is a lovely guy and nothing is ever too much for him. Portions on occasions have been hit and miss but again the manager always looks after me. 4 stars out of 5....one star dropped as prices have increased which has meant myself going every other week but again it's not their fault as supply chains and covid means prices have risen significantly. I've read some negative or bad reviews and honestly...yes it can happen but rather than pan them, go back discuss and they'll look after you!

Portion size was ridiculous! Paid 8.70 for a mixed kebab, did not state it was I pitta ( and the smallest pitta I've seen) rather than naan or have the option! Value for money is ridiculous go else where.

Just ordered fish and chips via Uber Eats. The food arrived piping hot. I have to say it was the nicest chippy tea I have had in along time. Really recommend this take away.

Blatantly refused to serve some firefighters who I allowed to go in front of me in the queue. They obviously had to return to work and were very polite and smiley, as I wasn't in a rush I allowed them to go in front of me and so did another person. However, even as they reached the front of the line the man refused to serve them and the firefighters were evidently very shocked at the blatant. One of the other people who worked there offered to serve them but the gaffer said that he didn't want them served. The server got quite enraged and began shouting in another language, he looked like he wanted to jump over the counter Honestly, just a little outraged at this situation, especially with all of the black lives matters movements going on and that my children saw the blatant discrimination. Didn't even really want to eat the chips knowing that the firefighters probably wouldn't be eating that night

Always good food... spotlessly clean....only gripe is that they tend to keep people waiting Who are in the shop so as to service the phone /online orders....other than that can't fault it 👍

Just had another quality meal... Fish and chips with a mixed naan kebab The shop looked bright and clean the food looked fresh and inviting and tasted amazing... In this difficult time of pandemic all the staff have done a fantastic job and standards could never be higher... ----------------------------------------- Previuos review... Always fresh and tasty, impeccable clean. The front of house staff are always friendly and welcoming. Fresh fish is cooked on request if you wish to wait but there is always plenty in the window. This is a proper chippy that serves fantastic food... Never had a bad meal to date and I've been using it now for a long time. So Forget bargain chip shops cause there is a reason they can supply cheap food... Eg: Cheap quality products and take my recommendation its worth paying a little extra when food is this good.... 😋

Fantastic top notch food not greasy as other chip shops.

Disappointing. I used to have great food from here but it's gone down hill lately. The food was luke warm, the guys serving were more interested in talking with and serving their friend, who didn't have to wear a face covering or mask and had his food cooked fresh, and my order was missing some items. Don't order the mixed chicken kebab, you'll only get warm chicken tikka that is mostly flavouring and they don't offer salad, but they do offer sauces. The chip portions are a lot smaller than they used to be but the prices are really high for the quality. And they don't give you receipts for your order. It is maybe better to go when it's busier and the staff want to serve and pay attention to customers?

Great fish bar serving lovely fresh chips and beautiful kebabs 😍 They serve all 3 kebab meats too which is a bonus. Great value for money as the portions are huge and very good quality kebab meat. Staff are so friendly 😊 My new go to chippy!

One of the few places that does premium quality kebab meat... Yes you pay a little more but totally worth it... The mixed meat kebab is the best I've ever eaten.

Only one star as I cannot give zero stars, terrible customer service, I ordered from uber eats and only half the order arrived and the fish was alk smashed up. I took the order back and staff called the owner who would not take responsibility for it and just said uber eats takes %30, how he could expect me to accept that I paid £7 for a large fish with no chips and completely destroyed was beyond me, who would pay £7 just for a piece of fish?

Been getting fish and chips from this location on and off for about 3 years now and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious, the location is always clean and plenty of room to stand around waiting for your order (pre-COVID) and the staff are wonderful and caring. Definitely recommend as your new weekly chippy.

Very disappointed normally a great chip shop. Put salt and vinegar on chips when asked not to and only half a meal with large mixed kebab meat. Will wait untill open property hopefully he will get back to normal

If you want some good fish & chips - this is the place you want to go to! Best in Birmingham. Some reviews state the food is a bit 'pricey', but it's all fresh. And I'd rather pay a few quid more for fresh food than for something that was cooked a few hours ago!

Hemos estado usando este chip durante aproximadamente 8 años y siempre ha sido de primera calidad. El kebab de cordero no es para nada graso como puede ser en otras patatas fritas y el pescado siempre es genial. Los chips son increíbles y siempre hay algo nuevo o diferente en el menú. De primera calidad, muy recomendable. ??

Good food, can get very busy at times but my biggest gripe is the chips aren't as hot as another local chippy so we tend to go elsewhere, unfortunately we have a few locally with the same issue. We prefer our chips red hot.

Nice and clean.Thats all i can say food very bland and dry no taste at all.Had chicken meat and chips chicken come from a pot that was so dry and tasteless chips ok ish the bin was well fed cant say that about me will never go back

Very overpriced and portion sizes are awful. When I was waiting for my kebab, I actually had to ask the lady if the portion size is real.. and for £6.80!?? No thank you. Much better chip shops that are local, avoid this dump at all costs

Great Fish and chips, friendly service... if I have one criticism I would prefer at busy times for one person doing Kebab orders to free up the other staff to serve the traditional Fish and Chips 👍

Always used this chippy go far for this chippy but today it was vile! I don’t no if they have had a new chef but the order was wrong the chips was like they had been warmed up and the chicken was missing from the order of mixed meat. Won’t be going here again.
