Sheldon Fish Bar in Birmingham

Asked for doner meat and chips with salad no mayo. Get home and my food covered in mayo with no salad. Doner meat all dry and hard.

Fantastic food very warm even got a free Pepsi max bottle. Definitely ordering again.

Haddock was very poor this time. Very overcooked and difficult to eat. Was almost as if it was cooked a lot earlier and rhen re heated... Very disappointed as normally very good :-(

My fish n chips tasted great good value with drink and sauce. Gyros was nice and you get a huge portion of chips.

Ordered quote the large sharing kebab option which you was sposed to get two large kebabs,which they wasn’t the chicken meat was finely shredded the dinner meat was obviously from lunch times vat to.loads of soggy cabbage and a bit of cucumber soaked in a not very nice sauce,the chips were tasteless and the curry sauce was like water total price £24.49 total rip off needless to say won’t be returning again

I have eaten at this establishment a couple of times before and again today, it’s certainly worth it. The food tastes great and the price’s are very reasonable too. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Effort less food for the money! Paid 7.50 for a mixed meat and chips and got scrapes. Foned up and the women couldn't even talk any English so that made it worse! I would a void this place!

The woman who serves the customers dropped chips on the floor and then put it back into the general container. Those chips were then served to the next customer 5 mins later. Won't go there again!

By far the worst, half-cooked, chips I've had in a long time. The customer service deserves 1 star. Actually, 1 star would be a big compliment. Very rude lady, that meets the criteria for a Covert Narcissist.

the all steak pie was bad it even smelt bad ,so we couldn't eat the food as it upset our stomachs ,just the thought of it,I rang the fish bar and told them ,he did offer to bring us another pie but my partner said he couldn't face it ,evening meal ruined

Large gluten free fish was very small indeed chips were just bits overall not very pleasant which was quite unusual for this chip shop

We used this chippy as our usual wasn’t accepting orders today, it was a chance to perhaps find somewhere new, but we will not be using again. I ordered chicken kebab meat and chips, the chips were clearly reheats and were dry, the meat was horribly greasy (chicken meat is normally drier) and was shaved so thin that it had no real substance, and worst of all we were charged £19 for the meat and chips!, this meal was so bad it went straight in the bin so a complete waste of money … we will never

Hello omg was a regular customer at Sheldon fish bar ordered a delivery had a right nutcase driver woman with glasses .opened food she pushed a money bag with loose change in told her didn’t want change always let them kerp chsngd thought no more of it never looked in money bag we ate meal then went to bed and a few hours later we was fast asleep bang bang bang on our door thought it was police looked out it was same woman delivery driver I opened door she was ranting about the money bag I said yes you can have youre bloody money bag I told her I said no change. she said there’s £4;in there the money’ bag I gave it to you by mistake.she then tried to push my door in I locked her out then threw money bag at her to get rid of her .my husband furious as he was awoken after night shift .i phoned Sheldon chippy there response was oh it was her first night as delivery driver sorry !!!nothing else not good enough .bring Mario back the ex manager was brill .

The worse kebab and chips l ever had salad was the best 1st and last time shame

£14.99 for what I’d call a small flat box of fish & chips, felt like a rip off. Mixed kebab with meat that I thought had been kept warm for probably over an hour. Regular chips nice & a big portion. Don’t get it ! Ditch the box and cut the kebab meat fresh off the roller 🤷‍♂️

Had a big price poster in the window for offers but you get charged a lot more ..sausage and chips said £2.60 but charged £4.50 ..was good apart from mushy peas that were like water and the vinegar is so watered down you can't taste it ..

Wasn't impressed with the food and the battered sausage was definitely not fresh. I would recommend Solihull fish bar which is close by.

Chips were very soggy and like mashed potatoes. The curry sauce tasted like wet dog. The fish didn’t taste fresh.

For the price I paid for 4meals 43 pounds the portion sizes were shockingly small and there were items missing from the order I’ve ordered from here before but sadly no longer

I ordered halloumi with salad and chips and mint/yoghurt. No words can describe how yummy it is. Especially the salad. You’re faced with fried food that’s very nice, but you want to eat the impeccable salad slathered in their mint dressing. It’s really nice. I order frequently. Thanks

The best ‘squeaky’ cheese with chips. Ever. The accompanying salad is so well prepared and the portion size is generous and fresh and crispy. The home made mint/yogurt dressing is simply delicious. Thank you.

Spent £30 on a order that arrived incomplete. When i rang the restaurant they said theyd send out replacements. They never appeared. Complete rip off merchants. Dissapointing.

Took an hour and a half to be delivered. Food arrived Luke warm. Was ok. Nothing to write home about. Probably won’t use again

1) the app was saying my food was on the way nearly an hour after it was delivered. 2) I couldn't eat the kebab at all. It tasted like it had been sat there for days, completely dry and honestly tasted off. 3) Chips had barely seen the fryer they were so pale, yet really greasy 4) After numberous orders I have said there is no option for salad on the kebabs even though the site says you can add salad. I write it in the box at the end usually that I would like salad as there is no option as stated, and I usually receive it, but today just a tonne of mayo on the edge of the kebab, and bone dry inside. Disappointed as have had good food from here in the past.
