Le Codfather in Birmingham

Very disappointed and frustrated! Tasteless food, no seasoning on chips and tasted bland. Chips were black and potato quality was appalling. Only good thing were the chicken niblets, rest was dry and not worth it. Will definitely not order from here again! WASTED MY MONEY ON HERE! Had high expectations since first time trying!!!😑

the food is always good from this place only issue is when ever you ask for sauces they never send them even if you ring them up and speak to them

This shop called Le-Codfather, which is basically the good chip shop in the area if u're living around that area then again I would probably suggest that u should try it out as soon the food is very nice n also fresh delicious taste and can't go wrong with it

was missing 2 curry sauce tubs, other than that the food was good.

The chips were hard, very little salad, and the kebab was dry.

I had an abysmal experience with codfather. I waited for my food for two hours only for the wrong order to arrive when it got delivered. Proceeded to phone the establishment for them to then deny that my order was ever placed and they had no record of it. Truly frustrating to deal with such a lack of accountability and unwillingness to resolve the issue. Unacceptable customer service and will not be returning.

This used to be my favourite place to get cod chips and peri burgers, but ever since new ownership its gone downhill massively. Thought to give it a second try (BIGGEST MISTAKE), but this time after waiting approx 1hr45mins the food did arrive via uber eats, however it was not my order!!!! I called Le Codfather but they failed to acknowledge this and said it was the correct order. I ordered food for a family of 5 and they thought a meal for one person will be enough for a family of 5?????? I could not understand what the workers were saying due to them having heavy accents and poor command of the English language, they passed the phone to their "manager" who was as clueless and useless as them. So there was no point in arguing with them over the phone as they weren't ready to listen or remedy the situation. Their customer service skills are non existent.

Never received my order! Driver refused to leave his car to deliver the order! Then the restaurant didn’t answer the phone!

Dear brother from another mother; On a level, what was that you served me yesterday? Grilled Donner with all those chips! Now that rush in your shop makes sense. My o my - I've not had anything like that before. Now I know you guys do things differently from what I'm used to in London but that was some powerful meal. My kids loved it too, especially the fish and chips. Those wings were chunky and tasty too. Thank you so much for helping our day out in Birmingham be that much more special. It's people like you that make me wanna move to Birmingham full time! Hahaa Thanks again man and InshAllah see you soon :)

Just ordered a smashed burger meal with BBQ donner. Bloody delicious and didn't leave me feeling sick as most chippies do.

Chicken Grill burger was 💯 But bbq donner wasnt nice.... Thick layered cut and found a bone in it put me off.

battered sausage was nice rest was fit for the bin. the chips were a weird green colour with black on them and the panini had brown lettuce on there and the bbq kebab was just salt. haven't used for a long time place used to be unreal not sure what's happened.

Been going to chippy from the 1st day it opened, seeing the brothers grow up and move on. The food is lower quality; consistency is low and worst of all service is poor. I won't be ordering again from here. Bro's if you carry on like it's the end.

I ordered Just Donner from the menu and was sent a bit of donner with chips so wrong time was sent out. Can you please make sure delivery drivers put food into their delivery as this is the second time food arrives not as warm as meant to be and we’re only 10 minutes drive from shop.

The food and service has dramatically dropped over the years. Quality has gone poor and staff are careless, not even reading notes from customers Uber/just eat orders. Had missing items from my order, chicken burger was dry and no effort to put it together. Chips were rock hard and overcooked. One sauce tub was provided with 3 meals. Upgrading my stars to 4* We tried le codfather after a dissappointing previous visit, we ordered take out which we really enjoyed. The chips were fresh, all notes were listen to, so we appreciate it. Donner meat isn't the best, needs more bbq sauce tbh. The niblets were very flavoursome & fresh. Overall decent and would eat here again. 😋

Generous portions as always their special sauce is so delicious, only thing is they forgot our salad on both donners.

BBQ donner was bland and not saucy like before, same for the chicken wings. Also the chicken was saltier than usual. Shame as I eat from here often.

Service has gone way downhill here. Waiting nearly an hour in the shop. There seems to be no system, and taking on loads of just eat orders which means everyone at the front gets deprioritised.. really need to sort it out as this was the best chip shop in brum. Food still is good though, but not sure it’s worth waiting an hour for.

Food taste good. However I ordered large got a few chips and donner compared to the usual portion they give. Please can you be consistent.

Visited here during a long drive to Solihull through the heart of Brum. Stopped in for a quick snack as the name was intriguing. The food was decent but the service wasn't great. There was a large queue which is obviously a good thing, however when one of the owners walked through the door, barged through the queue to place an order and uttered "so what? it's my business" it ruined the reputation of this place for me. I understand why your named business Le Codfather but that doesn't mean you should buy into it. You're not the Mafia, keep a level head and be thankful and grateful at all times. Here today gone tomorrow, bare that in mind 👍🏻

This is the 3rd time they haven't delivered the drinks complete idiots that's the last order from me they owe me 2Pound which is ridiculous for cheap cans and this always happens because I'm in a wheel chair so I never answer the door and I'm fed up of this chippy idiots

Really good portions and food was hot but unfortunately taste wise - had no seasoning. No salt nor vinegar and the kebab was bland.

The food that arrived was good, however some of the food was missing, the odd drink or sauce is fine, but when you miss so much of the order, it’s unacceptable. They need to double check the order before sending the food out

cod burger was not spicy but rated nice. the fried chicken tasted like it was leftover from the day before and warmed up in oil again not good at all

The donner meat & Chips on the 2 large donners were room temperature. Normally fantastic service when we order in. Spoiled the meal. When asked the driver he said he had 2 deliveries. Poor excuse.

Food was great and the delivery driver was very nice and polite. Took a few minutes longer than said but really wasn't a problem and understood as the the roads around city center can be challenge to navigate. Very nice all in all and will deffinatly recommend.

Totally awful burnt, dry, dark and hard chips, couldn't even eat them. Ordered 6 nibbles, received 4 plus some tiny grinded into sawdust which looked to be chicken.
