Le Codfather in Birmingham

I’ve actually been to this chip shop and ordered a kebab in the past and it was decent, but the kebab and chips that came as a delivery was diabolical. The kebab meat and pitta bread was dry and stale. It was chewing on dry leather. Had to throw most of it away. Real shame to be honest.

Sent me the wrong order on purpose because they were closing! Not my fault they can’t read English! They shouldn’t even be running as a business if they can’t get customers orders right because they’re illiterate!!!

Ordered from Uber Eats - Cod fish and chips and spicy chip donner. Unfortunately, the food was dire - the fish was tasteless and very low quality, the chips were unsalted and bland and the donner was even more worse. 10+ years of dining from this place - they use to have the best cod fish and best spicy donner in Birmingham. Disappointing.

Food wasn’t great. Chips were under cooked not crispy at all. The wraps both had sauces and cheese which was not a good idea especially when I had requested in the notes no sauces. Sadly not enjoyed as the wraps were too messy and I don’t eat cheese.

Ordered off just eat and was sorely disappointed. Donner was cold, pitta break was rock hard and chewy and the sauce that i was charged for was barely a squirt. Safe to say this was the first and last order.

Absolutely fantastic quality food! Cooked to perfection. Portion sizes are beyond generous. Even living a bit further away the food was piping hot, fresh and just pure quality. Really good food and really enjoyed my meal. I don’t know if you can just call these guys chefs because they are pure artists!

ordered and paid for 2 sweet chilli sauces and 2 mayo and instead i got curry sauce and 4 cilli

absolutely horrible experience ordered food off uber eats and the bag contained nothing we ordered. Didn’t answer the phone when i called 10+ times. TERRIBLE!!!

Worst food ever. Honestly if I could give lower than 1 star I would. Not only did they charge me extortionate price for a chicken burger but it also turned out to be completely raw inside. It was so raw the chicken was still croaking. Don’t eat from here

there was a hair in my food and when i complained, they told me id have to come pick it up myself after THEY messed up. very unprofessional and unhygienic.

Glad this place re opened, had a mix of things, fish was absolutely delicious, chips always lovely, the southern chicken was decent, the lemon and herb donner was lovely, the chicken fillet was not nice at all very rubbery, but overall I enjoyed it. Just a couple of points there Is no seating so take out only and they accept card now which is super. 01.25 went here again food was delicious had the munch box was decent but a but pricey but the chicken fillet was not nicely cooked. The batter was hard. The fish was delicious

Absolutely fantastic food. Been on the lookout for a new regular as our usual has closed for refurb. Large fish and chips is huge and the fish is very chunky. Donner meat is on point too. Well done guys, see you next Friday!

the food was stone cold so i had to reheat it in the microwave and i payed for sweet chilli sauce and there wasnt any in there

bad experience. only 1 out of 3 drinks delivered. shop calls went to answer machine so had to ask just eat for refund for 2 drinks......guess what THEY REFUSED to refund a few pounds to me and no explanation. So im now paying for stuff im not even receiving.....not sure whos worse, the shop or just eat so frustrating!!☹️

I went for the fish burger meal with bbq donner .... got charged nearly a tenner I was expecting greatness for that kind of pricing ... sadly the fish burger disappointed big time as they just used the fish that's been sitting the for a while so tasted very flat .... the bbq donner was nice but very small quantity maybe 5-6 strips ... chips were decent ... overall 6.5/10 could have been a lot more if they used fresh fish for the burger !!!! Expected better from a place called le codfather..... I've had to come Back and edit my review as one day later I'm experiencing symptoms of food poisoning 🤢🤢🤢🤢 and now the overall rating has changed to 2/10 sorry

Went here yesterday had there munch box for £10.all I can say very disappointed. small box nothing fresh apart from the chips.

I would suggest eating in, not out. quality was poor considering the price.

Ma sha Allah the smash burger was 1 of the best I’ve ever tasted could have bought 5 of them I swear down, I’ve been landing here with the brothers for 2/3 year strictly for the chip donners but since last years refurb the brothers at le cod have drastically notched up the menu in a spectacular way ma sha Allah may Allah increase them more, the food is always bangin from here and loads of the brothers and sisters travel from far and wide to eat from this bad boi ghetto star eat out, they been about for yonk 2 my brother right back to my mid teens bro the best up them sides then and the best chippy up them sides now ma sha Allah keep it up brothers the bros working their are top brothers on job ma sha Allah may Allah increase u more in success in sha Allah Ameen

Very disappointed and frustrated! Tasteless food, no seasoning on chips and tasted bland. Chips were black and potato quality was appalling. Only good thing were the chicken niblets, rest was dry and not worth it. Will definitely not order from here again! WASTED MY MONEY ON HERE! Had high expectations since first time trying!!!😑

much worse than I remember. chips were cut small and no chopped gherkin ns in tartar sauce. the half piece of cod in the burger was small and not enough meat in the fish.

This shop called Le-Codfather, which is basically the good chip shop in the area if u're living around that area then again I would probably suggest that u should try it out as soon the food is very nice n also fresh delicious taste and can't go wrong with it

I had an abysmal experience with codfather. I waited for my food for two hours only for the wrong order to arrive when it got delivered. Proceeded to phone the establishment for them to then deny that my order was ever placed and they had no record of it. Truly frustrating to deal with such a lack of accountability and unwillingness to resolve the issue. Unacceptable customer service and will not be returning.

This used to be my favourite place to get cod chips and peri burgers, but ever since new ownership its gone downhill massively. Thought to give it a second try (BIGGEST MISTAKE), but this time after waiting approx 1hr45mins the food did arrive via uber eats, however it was not my order!!!! I called Le Codfather but they failed to acknowledge this and said it was the correct order. I ordered food for a family of 5 and they thought a meal for one person will be enough for a family of 5?????? I could not understand what the workers were saying due to them having heavy accents and poor command of the English language, they passed the phone to their "manager" who was as clueless and useless as them. So there was no point in arguing with them over the phone as they weren't ready to listen or remedy the situation. Their customer service skills are non existent.

Dear brother from another mother; On a level, what was that you served me yesterday? Grilled Donner with all those chips! Now that rush in your shop makes sense. My o my - I've not had anything like that before. Now I know you guys do things differently from what I'm used to in London but that was some powerful meal. My kids loved it too, especially the fish and chips. Those wings were chunky and tasty too. Thank you so much for helping our day out in Birmingham be that much more special.
