The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

This is a regular destination for us. Once a month we collect about 15 meals for the workforce. The fish is good quality, the chips are a good potato variety and all cooked to perfection. Friendly and helpful staff too.

We’ve had absolutely the best Fish and Chips restaurant experience here. We were invited here by someone who has been coming to this establishment for 30 years, and Rock Salmon was recommended and ordered by everyone in our party. It was the most delicious fried fish, a huge portion, and apart from one thick bone that had to be removed from the middle, there were no other bones, amazing! No wonder the Rock Salmon was sold out after one hour from opening. The restaurant section is very nicely decorated and clean, white table cloths on tables, small bar area is at the back. I would’ve given five stars for this review, but I had to take one star off for a 30 minute wait for our drinks while the gentleman/ owner ? was having a lively conversation with a couple of friends at the bar. We were the only people that arrived at the restaurant at opening time and he led us to the table, then proceeded to ignore us. After finally taking our order, the pace picked up, we did not have to wait too long for our meal to arrive and every single item was fresh and absolutely delicious. There is a takeout section next to this restaurant, and it was incredibly busy with a line of people out on the sidewalk waiting to get their hands on the delicious fish. I am looking forward to visiting again, because I’ve never seen the Rock Salmon anywhere else on the menu, but I hope the service will improve.

So disgusted with the customer service. This was our regular place & recently they have started ripping customers off. Over charging on food & the quality of the food has died. Sorry brothers, but you can’t be charging silly prices for food that isn’t even worth it anymore. It’s not the first time this has happened either but I think it’s time everyone knows as we’re fed up of constantly addressing this. Either they forget items from our order or they over charge on what we purchase. Need to begin fixing this attitude.

Tiene que ser el mejor chippy de la zona Las patatas siempre están perfectamente saladas y se cocinan a la perfección aunque no es el más barato es el mejor.

Entrega tardía, sin disculpas, incapaz de contactar con el restaurante, la comida estaba fría, el pescado todo roto en la caja como si hubiera sido arrojado alrededor, patatas fritas grasientas.

Just relocated to Lowestoft - food was amazing and had a lovely chat with the delivery lady :) A+ (and never EVER stop doing the won tons - they were incredible!)

I wanted to treat the kids to fish and chips after school today and what a disapointment. Had to throw the whole lot away. Waited 10 mins for them to cook the fish (which I thought would be a good sign as fresh) but the batter was soggy and the fish was powdery. Chips old and cold and no salt, as we'd asked for. Just dreadful. What a waste of £23.

Was charged £4 for 2 bread rolls(bap) with butter on. When checked other chip shops average price is about 75p. Disgusting need reporting to fair trading standards

Daughter and Son-in-law just moved to Broadstairs and after a very long day they needed a boost! We all strolled out and headed for this place as they had seating inside. Lovely man welcomed us in. He had all cleaned up - it said it closes at 9 pm we got there at 20 to 8 - but Erman was ready to feed us! We sat inside and toasted our daughter and son-in-law’s new home. The batter on my lovely medium cod was light, crispy and delicious!!!! Husband’s haddock was very tasty. All cooked to order and perfect chips and curry sauce. I think they’ve found their local fish and chip shop!

This place is wonderful. The food was incredible - such a good selection of tapas to suit most tastes. We had vegetarians, pescatarians, and meat eaters in the group and everyone had something they really enjoyed. The service was great, very friendly and we stayed quite late so we were greatly they were attentive to the end! The atmosphere is great, it’s a lovely place to have a group meal. Would thoroughly recommend.

Llegamos por primera vez a la calle Adelaida Barrafina hace 15 años con amigos y hemos visitado una serie de otros a lo largo de los años en nuestros viajes poco frecuentes a Londres. ¡Fue tan bueno como recordamos! Desde el amable anfitrión, Giuseppe, que nos cuidó con pericia y era atractivo y hablador, pero no demasiado, al jefe de cocina que estaba claramente muy en control de una cocina ocupada, fue simplemente excelente. Siempre es bueno ramificarse y ser valiente en Barrafina, ¡prueba algo que normalmente no comerías ya que los sabores están para morir! Las croquetas de sepia eran muy inusuales pero el chef explicó qué había en ellas y cómo se hacían. Leí una crítica aquí que decía que eran fríos, sí lo eran y se suponía que lo eran! Totalmente delicioso y tan inusual. Nos encantó cómo toman su orden y luego le traen los platos en un orden específico; pescado primero, carne después. El vino que acompañaba era magnífico, una botella de Muga que combinaba brillantemente con la mejilla de cerdo estofado. Estudié en España cuando era más joven y conozco muy bien las tapas. La combinación de una delicia cultural con platos modernos y peculiares es tan buena como estar en la propia España. Los tamaños de las porciones son excelentes, un poco más grande que un restaurante de tapas tradicional, pero tan bueno para compartir! En general, no podría calificar esto lo suficientemente alto. Ve con tus amigos o para una cita nocturna. ¡Espera relajado e informal con un toque especial! ¡Si no pruebas una Barrafina al menos una vez en tu vida te la has perdido!
