Tom Bell Fish Bar in Bromley

Late delivery, no apology, unable to contact restaurant, food was cold, fish all broken up in the box like it had been tossed around, greasy cold chips.

This Tom Bell’s is a reliable fish and chips shop, we have been coming here every Friday for a decade or more and standards are always high. The staff are great, ready for a chat, unless there’s a queue and the hygiene is immaculate. The regular chips are more than enough for the two of us, and it’s hand cut potato fried in rape seed oil I think. Delicious. We always have cod, they get the best cod there, it’s juicy white flakes in batter. Simple but tasty and we like it. It’s not simple to make it as good as this every time, but the Tom Bell team manage it. Well done!

Nuestra primera comida para llevar durante más de 2 meses como un poco aprensiva por la higiene y las colecciones. Realmente complacido de que Tom Bell haya entregado (cargo de 3.50) a tiempo y de que la cena fue realmente sabrosa: bacalao escamoso encantador (pedimos bacalao grande), papas fritas bien cocinadas (tal vez un poco menos) y a un precio razonable. La primera vez que regresó después de que reabrió durante el bloqueo (Covid - 19). Tengo que decir que su pescado y patatas fritas son de la más alta calidad (especialmente el salmón de roca), ¡lo cual es excelente! ! ¡También el propietario Sener y su personal son absolutamente geniales! Recomendaría esta comida para llevar cada vez. Bien hecho.

Teniendo a nuestro nieto de 17 años quedándose con nosotros y conociendo su amor por el pescado y patatas fritas, ordenamos por teléfono y recogimos a la hora acordada. Cuando llegamos a recoger nuestro pedido ya estaba listo y no tuvimos que esperar. Los tres elegimos el eglefino, ¡ten en cuenta que el pescado es grande! Colgando sobre ambos bordes de un plato de 10 pulgadas y las porciones de chips coinciden, nos alegramos de haber pedido solo dos porciones entre los tres. El pescado era excelente y las patatas fritas deliciosas. Usaremos este servicio nuevamente.

I don’t visit chips shops often, but have been using this one occasionally for several years. The staff are professional and the standard of the food is very consistent. I normally get a pie and chips, so don’t always get fish, but when I do it tastes fresh, both in terms of the fish and the oil it’s cooked in. I tried a fish and chip shop in Whitstable recently, and expected great things being by the coast, but Tom Bell's is much better!

I visited this fish shop and asked if he could do a delivery to our flats on a multiple order and was told yes, well,what great service was provided, great food, great timing arriving exactly on time, we have used this fish shop now as a regular thing, and have never been disappointed with any of the food or service at at any time.

Always good value and a friendly and helpful shop. They cook the fish fresh individually for each customer which does mean a short wait but it is worthwhile. We have eaten from here often and never been disappointed.

I find this shop the best in Bromley, Fish always cooked fresh, portion sizes offered and very friendly staff.

A quick and easy meal after having travelled 200+ miles. Very cheerful service, hot food, excellent rock and good chips. Will definitely use again.

Worst chips I have ever had in my life , also the pies seemed like they had sat there for days. Gave this chip shop a wide berth for over a year thought we'd give it another go, what a mistake. Really needs to improve.

Excellent staff, Amongst the freshest fish I have tasted, crispy fresh chips fried, to order. All day Wednesday a portion of Fish & Chips is £ 3.99 a bargain!
