I have been coming here for several years now, the quality of the food is amazing!,however the prices are rising but potions are getting smaller,cant do both,overall brilliant

Very expensive. Chips tasted like they had been reheated from night before. I wish I had searched for a better lunch choice.

Just had fishcake butty chips n curry, beautiful and hot. Would recommend 👌

The haddock batter was soggy and oil loaded the chips were dry and wizened and Luke warm ! Clearly reheated from the night before ! Not cheap at over £20 either for two portions ! When I rang to complain and said re chips re heated the owner just said “ OK IF YOU SAY SO AND PUT THE PHONE DOWN “ appalling . DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS !!!! The worse fish and chips we have ever had ! He doesn’t deserve to be in business ! Most of ours went in the bin !!!

Didn't get chance to order food sat up stairs due to down stairs room smelling foul, after 10-15 wait a young girl came up to tell us to go down, when we told her about the smell she said nothing an walked off so we left

Great fish and chips with a view of the harbour, what more do you want. Batter was amazing, fish flaked away beautifully and chips were good. Friendly staff and competitive prices. Would highly recommend.

It's a take away, so the atmosphere isn't why you go... it's the great food with a full selection of pies to choose from.

This is a hidden gem away from the tourist hustle and bustle of Whitby. The couple who run it are friendly and helpful and the food very good quality at excellent prices. Most place today you just about get change from £10 for 2 hot drinks but here You get a little change from £5 for a tea and a coffee, both of which are good quality. The breakfasts are a good price, good quality and generous.

If you are craving fish and chips late on a Sunday night… I would save your money and wait until tomorrow. Drake’s is average at best, it’s a small takeaway-only chip shop where the service is basic and the product leaves a lot to be desired. The fish was small, overcooked, and bland. It tasted like they were using old nearly rancid oil. The chips had been sitting there for a while and were getting stale. They were luke-warm and lifeless. I’d avoid and go somewhere else.

Friendly and welcoming staff, ordered fish and it was very tasty fish really lovely cooked and not waiting long made fresh when we ordered
