Sealane fisheries 2 in North East Lincolnshire

Terrible, avoid, drive down the road to the next chippy. Staff were absolutely miserable stood around looking like they'd rather be anywhere else. Food was SO greasy, chips undercooked and really greasy, the fish somehow managed to be dry on the inside covered in a thick heavy batter that absorbed an incredible amount of grease. The battered sausage was even worse, somehow it was even greasier than the fish and again horrible batter.Absolutely the worst fish and chips I can remember eating and unfortunately there seems to be more bad chippies than good in Cleethorpes these days but this one the makes the rest seem good. So so bad!!!!!!!

Came last here 9 years ago ,as the fish and chips then were absolutely delicious, so was really looking forward to my return visit, the chips ,curry ,mushy peas were as lovely as I remember, BUT OMG! The fish batter was very disappointing wet soggy and so greasy , fell to bits dripping with grease ,( take away) I could not eat it , I don't know whats happened but who cooked 9 years ago had it so right ,and it's not even cheap to , my advice try someone else, this chippy has lost its mo jo ,and I would not recommend, sadly 9 years ago are a great memory and I won't be returning to sealane again

Most of these reviews are suppose to be on Sealane fisheries which is near Thorpe park, this chip shop is now called Tony’s fishbar which is excellent

Absolutely disgusting food. Me and my boyfriend had fish and chips to share and a sausage. .... the fish was horrible, very greasy but hard batter , we finally got through the batter to find hardly any fish inside. I believe it was sat there all day. We got our son a chicken and mushroom pie, chips and gravy. The pie was vile, on opening the pie I could see it looked very dry, my son went to cut it and the bottom was black and rock hard, no way could he of ate it. I gave him some of my fish and sausage which he agreed wasn't nice at all. Dinner in the bin and 3 hungry people still. We will not be returning which is such a shame.... this place is near to a couple of caravan parks and could make so much money if they cooked the food properly.

Never ever have I had fish and chips this bad. Chips undercooked, fish overcooked and soaked in dirty brown grease. Opened them up and put them in the bin - seriously, you need to do something about all that dirty grease……..

Fantastic food at a bargain price. Fish & chip special £3.60. Fresh cooked very nice lovely staff. Good car parking 😀

Staff took ages to serve dispite us being the only cutomers there... food was greasy and undercooked! Very disappointed to say we found hairs in the batter and was met with a rude response when asking for a refund which surprise suprise was not given!!! AVOID

Ordered fish and chips and the fish was like it had been cooked for some time and left under the heater, the batter was dark overcooked and very hard which broke the fork I was eating with and the fish inside was dry and stuck to the overcooked batter. I will not be visiting here again.

Can say improved a lot must be new take over .food hot cheap better than wybers marklews well done will use again

used twice while on holiday both times fih and chips were first class all cooked fresh and not dripping in cooking oil staff friendly and efficient

We visited while staying at Haven Site. We had a takeaway of fish & chips to eat in our Motorhome. The fish was freshly cooked and just enough chips. My husband had a battered sausage which was also tasty. Always like to have fish & chips whilst on the coast they seem to taste much better. Would visit again if we were in the area.

Bit to handy with this place being just around the corner when ya on a diet!!! We use this place for 'treat night' and are never disappointed!! Next to no grease ever on the wrappers and always plenty of food!!!!

Price very steep for the amount you get in a cone. Nice chips though.Very dirty in side squashed chips all over the floor.

You cannot visit this part of the country and not enjoy the local Fish and Chips. Sealane happened to be on our route and was a very good choice. Fresh and well cooked, a bright and clean shop plus friendly and efficient staff all added to the enjoyment our day.

Stayed at Thorpe Park, chippies is just around the corner. Had takeaway, and enjoyed in the caravan. Fish was great, regular size is pretty big. Tempted by the jumbo fish but regular is sufficient. The queue was quite big, a good sign, but service was fast and efficient.

Eaten from here many times especially in the summertime when you can sit outside , there is also a restraint inside although I haven't used , I also travel to this chippie from our home when we fancy fish and chips , battered sausages , fish cakes curry etc : never disappointed .

Fuimos allí en un momento bastante tranquila en un tranquilo día y tengo que decir que nos quedamos muy decepcionados. Después de leer las críticas los puntos únicos totalmente de acuerdo en que son las cosas negativas. El personal masculino son muy definido en su actitud y no de una conversación amistosa. El personal femenino, aunque no es tan malo parecía ser un poco aburrido y desinteresado. La comida me diría entre pobres y media. Aunque el pescado fresco era muy grasosa que goteaba con grasa de los extremos y formando una piscina en el papel para envolver. Las patatas fritas eran también grasienta pero que podría haber sido de los peces. Los guisantes eran sólo estaba tibia. en resumen, una experiencia decepcionante. lo cual dudo que querrá repetir.

The fish and chips were excellent we went in the cafe to eat, they do have a take away as well, all very reasonable priced.

Recomiendo encarecidamente este fish and chips". Servicio agradable, comida recién frita, un montón de opciones y nunca deja de sorprendernos merece una visita

Very friendly fryer ,always happy to help . Shame it's closed on Sundays and Mondays and closes quite early but never fails to please :-)
