Ordered fish chips and peas affect our dog walk. All cooked to order so had a little wait but it was well worth it. The nicest fish and chips we have had for a long time. Big portions and not greasy. Lovely tasty fish. Very pleasant lady taking the orders too. Thank you very much they were yummy 🤤

after visiting filey a few times it was time to try the coble landing chippy and we wasnt disapointed lovely hot fresh food and my partner said it was the best fishcake hed ever tasted

Best fish we've eaten for years. Only meant to be a midday snack do didn't have the chips but the fish was delicious, light and fluffy batter. You mustvtrybifvyoure visiting Filey.

Wandering along the Coble Landing we all wanted a snack so sat down to chips and curry at the Coble Landing Fish and Chips. Wow! The perfectly cooked chips (with a few naughty scraps) were delicious and paired up with the most delicious curry sauce ever made the perfect couple. The four of us enjoyed every mouthful on our trays. What a lovely lady served us too. We can all highly recommend dropping into this little gem of a fish and chip takeaway and next time we will make sure we are really hungry and have the full fish, chips and peas. Thank you so much it made our visit to Filey very special.

After a bracing walk along the Brigg we wanted to end our day at the coast with some fish and chips. They were freshly made so we had to wait a few minutes but it was worth it. Fish was beautifully cooked and not too much batter and I wasn't over faced by the chips - for once I ate every single bit on the tray. Only marked it down as they couldn't take card payments, only cash, as the machine wasn't working but I'd definitely go back.

Rude staff fish burnt to a crisp tiny portions waited ages went to ask for a refund and the girl who claimed to be a manger stuck her fingers in the fish and told me no it’s not cold ! Absolutely disgusting do you not realise we are in the middle of a global pandemic ? Forks left on a dirty side for you to just grab ! Couldn’t be any more appalled if I tried . Was then refused a full refund and told to take the money and get lost ! Wow no words need ! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Fish fresh and tasty but prices gone up, portions gone down. Was closing at 16.30 too which seemed very early. Hopefully will return to its former standards.

Yes - lovely - freshly cooked and all the better looking out over the beach. As they are seaside fish and chips watch though - often has bones in the fish! Nearby is a small group of the usual traditional British seaside "attractions". Well worth a visit especially when the weather is good!

We enjoyed delicious fish & chips today. Very busy but service was quick. Great portions, chips were piping hot, not greasy and plentiful. The fish was fresh, perfectly cooked and lovely light batter. There is seating with tables but very busy so we wandered on the front and found there was plenty of seating overlooking the sea.

Quality "Old-School" traditional fish and chips. Lovely staff and seating area to rest the legs after a long walk along the beach.

The fish had a thick layer of skin on the bottom and was also quite dry, didn't taste as fresh as I'd have liked for the £6 price. Portion of chips with it was also tiny and needed cooked longer. However, nice location on the front and friendly staff

Have eaten here a couple of times, the fish is fresh and the chips are great.At £6 they are good value and are some of the best I have had in a long time.Sitting with the sun shining and theview of the Brig what's not to enjoy

This fish & chip shop is on the seafront near the RNLI base, and worth seeking out. the fish & chips were very good and only £6 each for adults, and a good kids special on offer for £3.20, which includes a drink. There are other places that are much more expensive and not as good.

Have been using this particular fish and chip shop for 10 years. Yes the portions are a little smaller, but as my waistline is bigger its not a problem. They are still good sized portions.Fish cooked fresh so a bit of a wait, but as you are opposite some spectacular views it's never an issue. Once its ready, it tastes fantastic.

Had lovely fresh fish and chips with traditional mushy peas, friendly and efficient service. They served a group of school children very cheerfully and courteously.

Been here many times over the last few years but was very disappointed in this visit. Food was very poor compared to previous years. Also, no vegan friendly food. Most fish and chip shops nowadays manage to provide both chips fried in vegetable oil as well as those fried in beef fat.

A popular visit for my wife and I, but I must admit the quality is not as good and is slipping. last visited a few days ago, and for the £5.20 for a very small fish and chips it wasn't that fresh or tasty, disappointing. Second thoughts next time

So I know we went on Easter Sunday so I can accept the 20 minute queue to get served. In fact, the queue is what caught our eye. Busy chippy...must be good, right? WRONG. The chip portions are on the small side. And then, the fish. Or the lack of. If you like hard chewy batter, this is the place for you. There wasn't much fish, just battered batter. Vile. Wnded up throwing it away.

Used to be amazing but the last few times have been disappointing and today was the worst. Honestly the driest rubbery fish I’ve ever experienced. So dissatisfied especially for £5.90!!! Such a let down and baffling how it was so bad! Worrying...

We queued for nearly 30 minutes today to buy fish and chips, ordered 5 x fish and chips. Cooked to order as food constantly going out and it was over cooked, dry, mostly better, chewy crap! So disappointing, chips were lovely, fish truly the worst I have ever had.

Fish was amazing and chips were lovely! The location is right on the sea front so the view is great! Would definitely recommend!!

A visit to Filey for me has always had going to the Cobble Landing chippy at its centre. Not been to Filey for a couple of years so we were looking forward to a run out and our fish n chips. Whilst I always remembered the quality or the fish, batter and portions to be great here the recent experience was very disappointing. A small flat tasteless fish, watery mushy peas that tasted odd and average chips. Will be going up into the town next time we visit.

A lovely fish bar, we sat out on the front whilst the kids ate fish and chips! Defo recommend if visiting Filey!

Drive down to the sea front and turn left to the end.park where you can.We had 6 of us to feed, my uncle wanted scraps which he got ha ha.Came in a pizza / calzone style box which was great as easy to carry and handle. Beautiful fish, tasty and filling.Must visit

Well cooked, chips good cooked perfectly. Hot drinks poor bit focus is fish and chips. Would definitely go again always a must for me when visit Filey

RUBBISH: Fish and chips very greasy. Chips undercooked. First time I've had scampi cooked in batter. Overcooked, almost burnt. Totally inedible and definitely not worth the !obey spent

One of the best fish and chips that I’ve had in a while. Sometimes I find the batter too oily but this was just right. Good portions. Only issue is that the gravy was a bit salty but I aren’t going to moan about that. It was very but I would eat there again.

A walk on the beach by the Coble landing isn't the same without chips and a cup of tea from here. Always friendly and always open

Nice place for fish and chips. Close to the beach and easy reach of car parking. Prices are reasonable given the location. Well worth a visit when you are going to the beach

Pay more than usual for an adult portion and get a childs portion. Take your own breadcakes as the ones they dish out are pathetic. Many more fish and chip shops to try so just avoid if possible.

Served quickly and food was already cooked, however some food is made to order. Fish was very tasty but also quite greasy. Reasonably priced for sea front fish and chips. I also like how there are water bowls for the dogs. Customer service could be improved.

Really enjoyed our fish and chips here the fish was so white and chunky The chips were lovely and crisp the staff were very friendly nothing was too much trouble for them good value !

I've had fish and chip here about 6 times now and almost always excellent fish and chips. The fish is usually freshly cooked, and the chips are done nicely and not too greasy. I've only had one portion that was simply "ok" in half a dozen visits but it seems to have been a one-off. Staff friendly, a good queuing system and always seem to be cleaning round which is good to see. Slightly off-putting when the serving staff go for their cig break right out the front of the counter but again only seen this once. Will definitely be returning.

We visited at approximately 8:30pm on Sunday 27th August and the brunette girl serving completely ignored us and continued handing out boxes of free chips to her mates. AVOID

This place has been a firm favourite since i was a kid and every time i revisit it's perfect fish and chips every single time. Visited again a few days ago and so glad i did! Only slight gripe is that the fish is on the small side for what you pay.

We ate fish and chips with mushy peas. The fish was delicious with the lightest batter I've ever eaten. The chips were really good as were the peas. We sat outside eating them. They were so good we stayed and finished them in the rain.

A stroll along the seaside frontage of Filey should be best enjoyed with Fish and Chips. These were very freshly cooked, you even get a number to be called out while you sit and enjoy the atmosphere. The chips were cooked how we like, slightly over done, and the fish was perfect. A very light and crispy batter encapsulated the freshly caught fish. This was excellent, and every last scrap was devoured with pleasure while sat watching families stroll by.

After a morning digging on the beach on a cold and windy day we stopped here for a rest and a snack. There are tables outside, a good place to sit and relax. Staff were friendly and we were served quickly. A notice tells you that only cold drinks are sold, and directs you to another place further along the cobble landing, owned by the same people. There you can get hot drinks, ice creams etc and bring them to your table. While we were sitting there, a member of the local Filey in Bloom group was sweeping up litter, an excellent idea.

Good fish and chips in a nice location after a long walk along the beach. Fair pricing The mushy peas were neon coloured though? Sadly didn't get a picture of them.

As a visitor to Filey I have not had the opportunity to sample fish and chips from all the fish and chip shops in the town but after having such a lovely meal at the Coble Landing Fish and Chip Shop recently why would I want to go anywhere else? The fish and chips I had there were by far and away the very best I have had anywhere in an extremely long time. I will certainly re-visit next time I'm in Filey and would even be prepared to go out of my way to Coble Landing F&C if ever I'm in the area again and fancy a cracking meal.Well done CL. For me you have put a lot of F&C shops to shame. Keep up the top notch frying.

Lovely fish, chips, sausage and chicken nuggets. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great for kids too. Tables outside to eat. Kids lived it. Large portions too.

Nothing nicer than a bracing walk on the Beach followed by Fish and Chips from the best Chippy in Filey. Cooked fresh to order and you can sit at their tables on the Coble Landing watching the world go by or Take Away.Always a must for us when visiting Filey.
