Delicious fish & chips! The sauce is fantastic!

Clean, good selection of freshly prepared food.

The staff are always friendly and the premises is nice and clean. The food is good and reasonably priced. The only thing I could ask for is more veggie options. Battered veggie sausage would be amazing.

Lovely food again here, although seemed a bit pricey, chips and kebab meat on a tray, and a fishcake £10.10p seems a bit costly that, but food was good just not enough for price I paid.

I’ve been visiting for years: The best fish and chips in North Sheffield. I recommend the Cod. Large portions. Staff always friendly too. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and won’t need to eat again for the rest of the day.

We’ve been quite disappointed this evening, especially having read the reviews. We ordered: 2 fish and chips, 2 large battered sausages and curry sauce. When we got home we found; 2 large (but cold) fish, 2 large chips (no complaints), No battered sausages… And gravy…. The food was nice enough, albeit I found bones in my fish which isn’t ideal; but on a £30 order, to receive cold fish, not receive 2 items at all, and receive the wrong sauce, I’m not impressed at all. Great speed in turn around, but maybe if they took a little longer to get things right they’d have happier customers…

Called in and just got a large cod. I think this may have been £8.85. Paid with a £10.00 note and got £1.00 change. The fish was great but the batter was a soft, awful mess. I will not be returning.

Wow so expensive.small chips & fish cake, small chips & sausages, small peas and a bread cake £15.30. chips were nice .the sausage the usual cheap chippy sausages but the fish cake stunk really fishy and tasted it too. Had to throw it in bin. Was definitely off. The mushy peas are bland and toxic green .Don't waste your money maybe travel a bit further people of chap.

Good fresh food at a good price and friendly staff.

Shame to see people whinging on their reviews, I popped in for a little filler on the way to the pub, had my favourite, a doner wrap, it was hot, fresh and tasty and the staff were all very friendly.

Brilliant local chippy. Staff are always friendly and ready to serve you and have a chat while your waiting for your freshly cooked cod fillet, the large ones are quite generous easily filling a large plate, the chips too are enough if you are starving as they are a decent serving. The owners have done exceptionally well to keep prices affordable during the cost living crisis. Can't big this place up enough.

Just been to Ocean Blue chippy and had my usual order of a mini fish special and a scallop. Not only has the price gone up with a bump, but a small sausage is no longer included and the portion was ridiculously small. Time to find a different chippy after more than 15 years of being a regular customer 😡

Have been going to this place for about 15 years used to go 2 or 3 times a week. Over the last 2 years I have gone less, probably 2 times a month. Went today paid £9.40 for kebab meat and chips the kebab container was half full, I asked is that right, she called someone over who said we only fill one side. So now the containers are smaller and they say that's what we do. Sorry ocean I won't be back. Hope you do well though as the owner with the relative in Doncaster is nice

Food, choice and service consistently good. Be careful if you use the back car park, my vehicle was badly damaged whilst I was collecting my order, staff said the cameras couldn’t detect my car on them even though it was parked right in the middle of the car park, I only needed to know if another car or cars had come in and left whilst I was there then I could have followed it up, very frustrating indeed. Been a good customer there for some time but they’ve lost my custom now.

I like the food however im getting a bit annoyed at the fact when i go to buy my lunch (as i work nights) at 20:10 to be told they dont have any food that i ask for due to closing ,when the opening hours state 21:00 its almost like they are refusing service. I will start buying my lunch some where else i think

The chicken meat is to die for. As it's always a Tuesday when we go, we've now named the place Chicken 🐔 Tuesday 😋.

Really disappointed with the quality of the food for the price we paid. We ordered a kids cod bite meal and a cod bite all day special that cost £8.30. The chips were very dry and the cod bite was very small and quite greasy. We haven't been here for a while as there is a chippy in High Green we normally use (The Circle) which is a lot cheaper and a lot better. As we were passing by and walking, I thought I'd give them one last try. Unfortunately I won't be returning back. The lady that works there in her 60s is lovely though and offers great customer service.

Used to be a good chippy, but gone downhill. Chips were dry as if they’ve been double cooked, and fish tasted funny. I as up all night. Not been since cook my own now.

Called tonight for fish and chips for three people. The fish was beautiful, white and flakey, very tasty. We had 1 x large fish, 2 x small fish and one portion of chips. Total cost £20.80. The service was quick efficient and friendly. There was only two people in front of me so not a long wait time. I would visit here again.

The haddock is always fried to order, so fresh and very tasty!! It is the best place I have visited because of the quality of the haddock. That is why it is my 'go to' for a haddock and small chips treat!!

Would be better if they'd remove the plastic screens at the tills and start to engage with customers again. Staff could be more welcoming and conversive towards customers. Portion of chips depends on who serves you, so, no consistency here and for what you pay for a large portion you get home to find hardly any chips for the family!!!! Come on Ocean give us more chips!!!

The food here is way better than it used to be but it's very expensive. The Circle in high green is only 2 mins away and much cheaper. You'd think Ocean Blue would be competing with the Circle but they are nowhere near.

Staff are great always sound! Minus 1 star as chips can be iffy at times though plus points for the proper Fish!

Sadly the chips were not cooked fresh, and it was disappointing. Heard good reviews, but unfortunately it seemed not to be today

Prices not cheap but quality is decent

The fish is always 1st class and the chips are excellent and plentiful, there is a car park at the rear and the shop is super clean and modern. The staff are very helpful and friendly and it would be difficult to find a fault with the place in any way. I call here regularly because the whole experience is worthy of returning.

I originally gave this place one star and for good reason at the time. I have since been back twice and tried again and was blown away by how much they had improved. Perfect portion sizes more than enough food for large cod and large chips, a bit pricey at £9.50 so a tenner plus with a sauce and drink. Can pay cash or card, minimum purchase for card. Well worth the outlay for a nice treat. Only downside is if they run out of large fish it's not worth the price to get a smaller one, especially if you're hungry.

I've always loved this fish and chip shop; it has become even better since its recent refurbishment. Now the chippy has reopened, it has gained a new function, the ability to call in an order and pick it up at the side of the building via a (pickup window) Their food is always of good quality, and the establishment is impeccably clean; remember to ask for items like chicken burgers when you enter the premises so they can prepare it for you in a timely fashion. The staff at the Ocean Blue have always been brilliant and cheerful, which in of itself makes this family fish and chip shop worth visiting.

So I've been here twice and both times the food was delicious, both times we got 2 large chips, 3 large fish and a fish cake butty and everyone enjoyed everything. Plus the price was good at only £25.The only issue is the queue, both times there was a long queue, however the second time i must have been wanting between 20-30 minutes, the foods good, I just wish you didn't have to wait so long but that's not their fault. Edit - thank you for replying, I really appreciate you letting me know you can phone and then collect, that's definitely great information and I'll be doing that in future, thanks again 👍 😀

Large cod and chips is fantastic! The fish is massive and so is the portion of chips. Lovely meaty white fish. There are queues because of the quality and because of Covid! Only two allowed in the shop at one time, which is sensible! Best fish and chips in Chap.

Ordered over the phone, needed advice to gain disabled access the staff suggested I could pick up meals at side door with a contact less payment card. Really lovely food four different dishes ordered. Visiting Chapeltown from Doncaster very please with service and food.

Best chippy I've ever been to..plenty of food..huge haddock...yeah it can get a bit pricey if every one starts having fish famoly of three) but still only around the price of other types of takeaway..have a fishcake or sausage and it becomes quite a bit cheaper..so its up to you what you want to spend.

Seems to always be a queue here which bodes well. Fish always been fresh and white. Little pricey but good quality food.
