Trawlers Catch in Sheffield

Went above and beyond to fix an order that was missing a couple of things - think it was a mix up through Uber Eats but they went out of their way to cook us a fresh order - very kind and great service which was much appreciated, thank you!

Watch out with this place, there seems to be a lot of fake five star reviews appearing which is giving this place a unfair review. It's easily the worst chippy in Sheffield

After a long time I found a good and tasty restaurant in sheffield.the service is very good and helpful.the pizza which I ordered was so tasty.fish chips were awesome.its really a reasonable priced restaurant where i can fulfill my stomach with a delicious food.

Used to be good, but has gone severely downhill, and only gets worse with every revist. Do yourself a favour and don't come here. Cold food, smaller portions, and microwaved meat dryer than the sahara. The service is also atrocious - the staff are cold and uncaring, and are constantly seeking new ways to rip you off. Easily the worst chippy I've ever been to.

Probably some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. Lopa served us and was very friendly and such a lovely lady. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

I come here for food regularly on my way home from work. The food has always been nice and I've never had any issues with it. Staff are always friendly and talkative while I'm waiting for my food

Ordered Biryani, biryani has no flavour , it’s served frozen and tasteless. Also it’s rotten and had a bad smell. Please don’t order biryani from here specially because it’s not served fresh and it’s frozen.

Fish portion was way too thin. Batter seemed overcooked. The shop didn't look overly hygienic either. I won't be going back unless I'm desperate.

Just came here for lunch and was suprised to see they offer curries alongside traditional fish and chips. Got the chilli chicken with chips and it was lovely and spicy with the meat being 100% chicken breast. Very good price and value. I've heard they will start doing breakfasts in the morning soon too so keep an eye out for that.

Place could do with clean up and person behind counter as well... Can't say anything about food because the only thing I had is chicken wrap.. but chicken was not fresh..it was frozen and out of microwave. Place is generally dirty.

A large variety of different takeaway options where they should probably concentrate on one. Fish and chips, burgers, kebab, pizza. I feel the quality suffers because of that. The fish wasn’t allowed to rest after frying so the batter stuck to everything and the fish disintegrated. I’ll go back later and will revise the score if it has improved :)

Couldn’t knock the food was peng! Definitely coming back as the guy was lovely too. The legend gave us extra chips 🍟

I’ve been looking for a new pizza shop in town that’s open at dinner time and I wasn’t disappointed. A proper takeaway pizza! And not to mention they’re buy one get one free at the moment too. A real bargain. The guy serving was friendly aswell.

Called in on spec as in Sheffield overnight for a job interview. Found by chance. Absolutely delicious, high quality fish and really nice chips. Freshly cooked and piping hot. Nice couple behind the counter. Very impressed.

It serves good fish and chips, but since Coronavirus I don’t use cash anymore, like most of my friends and family it’s safer to use contactless, and they only take cash. Hence 2 stars.

Good value fish and chips in a real old fashioned chippy, freshly cooked and the owner is such a friendly lady.

Really nice chip shop, great value and portion sizes. Friendly and fast staff. Indoor seating also available, though there is not much, only a few seats. One of, if not, the best chippies in Sheffield town centre.

The fish and chips were OK, nothing special. But the value was impressive. £5.50 for large cod and small chips. The cod was fresh cooked and the amount of chips was high considering they were "small". As cod is reckoned a prime fish these days, this was by modern standards a bargain.

I have gone to this fish and chip shop annually for the last 4 years when snooker is on at the crucible theatre and thoroughly enjoyed a sit in meal.. However on this occasion recently on Saturday 4thMay 2019 the meal was well below standard.I had to wait 20 minutes for the fish to be freshly cooked.When it arrived,the batter was completely dark brown and burned.It was dreadful. I have now decided to look elsewhere on my next visit to Sheffield and after this experience, would advise others to follow my lead

Cheap, Quick. Helpful staff. Fish and chips just like it used to be. What's not to like? If you are visiting the City and need to fill up your nosebag, there's no better place to go.

Decent chippy, reasonably priced. Would recommend the place if out and about in Sheffield City Centre.

I went here after finishing work, I did some shopping and I was starving! I love how you can always smell the lovely scent of fish & chips enticing you in. I had a small tray of chips for £1.60 and a bottle of pop for £1.30. The chips were lovely, there's also places to sit so I didn't have to be out in the cold wind. The lady serving was so friendly and welcoming. Very convenient.

I went here years ago when it fist opened and i didn't rate it. Now I live in the city centre and was surprised to find this stays open late enough for a fish tea. SO, I thought i'd give it another chance. Thankfully, this time they were much better. Tasty chips and fresh, white cod, all made to order. Be warned, they are huge persons and the small was still too much for me. Friendly staff too. Nice!

Up in Sheffield to meet my son who studies here. This chippy is very central. We both had small fish chips sauce with a can of drink for £4.20 each, very nice fresh cod.the lady serving was very friendly too.

The fish and the chips were really good. The two charming women were dressing their Christmas tree too. What a super place.

Only been a couple of times but my husband is a regular, the chips are fresh and well cooked and good value for money and the staff are always friendly. Keep up the good work, a good chip shop is hard to find.

The Trawlers Catch has recently had new management appointed and wow! the fish and chips are gorgeous. I had a mini fish, chips and sauce special and for less than £3.00 its a must have! Will definitely be a regular visitor.
