We have been using the dugout for many years as it was always excellent value for money however over the past few months not only has the quality gone down significantly, the price has gone up and the “specials” that always had more than enough are no longer enough to satisfy a small child! Have stopped using after 20 years

Ordered large donner and chips. There was more sauce than meat . Also under cooked. Terrible. Would never use again. Stay away

We had our order delivered on Tuesday 2nd July 2024 We had just returned from our Holiday We've had several orders from Cods Scallop Harborne and always had decent Food normally Cod, Chips snd Mushy Peas Tonight's meal was disappointing because it looked like the Fhips had been reheated and a lot of them were inedible. The Fish however was as good as ever really tasty but let down by the Chips The Cods Scallop stands and falls by the Stanard of its food and its expensive but you don't mind that if the Food was at a Exceptional Stanard but sadly this time let down by the quality of the Chips

Fish and chips were excellent. Ordered mushy peas and got curry sauce!! Ordered forks...got nothing. Steak pie was soggy, like microwaved

Awesome food and awesome service!!! Best food in Walsall - was caught by surprise when my friend from brum knew about how good this chippy in my home town of Walsall. Chicken Tikka in naan is a definite favorite of mine but I have been back several times. You will not be disappointed,

Good, honest and fast food. Used the app to get a discount. My son picked a cookie and the staff member checked if he had an allergy before selling it to him as it contained nuts. I was very impressed with that.

Nearly 15 pounds for a kebab, sausage and chips and a small curry sauce. The kebab was awful, hardly any salad, minuscule dressing, absolutely stone cold meat and hard cold pitta. This isn’t the first time we have had second rate food from here but it will definitely be the last. Go elsewhere if you want good food.

We ordered through uber eats, phoned up the chippy to check on the order to which they said they had not received. The uber eats app said preparing but stayed on that so we thought it wasnt coming as the chippy did not have our order. We had no other option but to cook our own food to which 30 mins later the uber eats order arrived to our astonishment as the chippy could not find the order. The food was cold, old and frankly disgusting and ruined our evening. Never again will we order through uber eats or from this chippy.

Previously the best chip shop in Coventry. It had been owned and run by the same people for decades. I used to order online for home delivery a lot. Suddenly the food went massively down hill, pots of lumpy dried out gravy, undercooked fish, dried out chips... I went in to find it had been taken over by somone else. The shop is absolutely filthy. Surprise, surprise, they just got awarded a one star food hygiene rating. Run!

Sat evening dinner. Fish, chips, peas, curry sauce. Fish cold one was hard all through and cold. Both very greasy and could not eat it. Chips cold. Peas stone cold, the server even asked the other server how long to microwave them for. Curry sauce lukewarm. Tried to ring to complain but can’t get through. What I don’t understand is why the food was so cold as the shop was very busy. Waste of £22. Don’t bother.

Clanger used to be my go to chippy used to have them all the while good food fast delivery but haven't used them in a while until today. Ordered mix meat in a naan, after waiting 1 hour for delivery I rang the shop to be told there's been a delay we haven't done it yet! 30 minutes later it arrived cold and not the large kebab like they used to be, don't know if they've changed hands recently because the portions of meat weren't upto their normal standards and delivery was appalling! Very disappointing and sadly wont be using them again!

Just popped into get pack of chips and sausage. NEVER AGAIN. Chips were disgusting. May have been from dinner time? Unable to eat.

Rubbish quality and portion sizes poor, won’t be visiting again. Sign outside saying under new management, good luck if you think you’ll attract customers with the poor quality food served.

had fish and chips has to be the worst i have ever had soggy batter still looking for the fish the chips were terrible all bits of hard scraps looked like they were cooked a week ago will never use again avoid

I visited Fish Fare whilst working away and asked for a VAT receipt. The staff acted as if I’d just handed them a dead baby. They begrudgingly routed around and after some time, found their VAT number. Whilst waiting for my order, a member of staff confronted me saying it’s not a legal requirement to be VAT registered. I wasn’t worried if they were or not! I just needed their VAT number for my work is they were.
