We have ordered Chinese food from here only twice, first time delivery to Eaton Bishop cost £4. Great service. Today I did collection, food was great. Especially the large spring meat roll and the Singapore fried rice, large enough to share between 2. We will definitely use again and again.

Normally amazing service and food but this time turned up with 15 minuets to go and the chips were old and when I asked they said bluntly "that's what we got" and pointed at 3 small battered sausages. Notninterested in letting me order anything else. Will leave it a while before I go back and hopefully the service will of gone back to what it was and I can edit this.

Tried to order a collection, the person on the phone was absolutely useless. Had to keep asking for help. She is not a new member of staff so cannot use that excuse! Makes ordering food unbearable. Will not be going back here again.

Absolutely fantastic service, GLUTEN FREE (COELIAC SAFE) wish we had known years ago the Chinese could be done Gluten Free. A very happy family after our Chinese. Chips are yummy as well!

Good food and portions at decent price

Chips were cooked well and cod was also cooked nicely. Prices were cheap and staff were nice. Definitely will come again

Personally if I could give it a 0 I would. The lady who was serving this evening with dark hair watched as I came into the premises she then served the person in front of me taking there order and giving them the last of the chips you have available. I would understand if the order was made before I entered but it wasn't. She then stated she only had enough for two portions of chips and wouldn't be serving me. This was before closing. I usually have a good experience within this place but that lady serving has an attitude and is very off putting coming back again.

Awful. Disgusting food. Had around 6 months ago. When it arrived the sweet and sour was so burn the chicken was like a brick. Beef satay tasted disgusting. When rang they offered to swap for another. Haven’t been since until tonight. Sweet and sour chicken was full of grease no flavour and the sweet and sour sauce tasted off and burnt.

Never been before. Good sized portions and great taste!

I took.my.neighbour to get food from their tonight, I was in pj's so took her to go in for me. The food was so disgusting I had to throw a piece of expensive fish, the chips and peas in the bin, the batter was disgusting and very little fish inside the batter,, I thought I would be able to eat the fish but it was a case of hunt the extremely cold fish, the chips were vile and the mushy please were stone cold. I paid alot of.money for my food only to put it in the bin. And while I am on the subject and actually writing a review, the Chinese side of this is god dam awful. When I ask for egg fried rice, I expect the real deal not a fried egg on top of my rice. How this place gets any customers beats me. I thought my neighbour was going mad when she told me that wverytine this one person serves her with mushy peas she always forgets to warm them, just coz the server doesn't like my neighbour, and guess who served her tonight. I would be giving.my staff a telling off, but this server just carries on, by not warming them thru properly it could lead to food poisoning, so let's just hope that I don't become ill. !!!

Have had some really good Chinese takeaways recently.. Orders always correct. Lovely & hot if we have them delivered.

Sometimes great, sometimes awful. We always found that delivery to the house has always been better than collection in person.

Friday staff orders taken and filled quickly but chips are hit and miss had food from here a few times now and most of times there good and then a few times you find a few chips where the potato is still hard and raw

Delivery was fab and young girl and her father delivered . Such a lovely smilie friendly young girl . And food was hot when delivered and absolutely gorgeous . Best chicken chow main I’ve had ever . Definitely be getting food from them again .

The worse Chinese food in Hereford. No flavor, no salt, and it didn't smell fresh. I had to throw it all away.

Went in last night for special curry and rice, I had the same last week must say it is the nicest Chinese I have had in ages and staff are really nice.

Popped in for some supper whilst staying in the area. Ordered 3 lots of fish and chips and out of those three only one was tasty. The other two seemed like they’d been kept warm most of the day. Disappointing.

Use to be best Chinese in Hereford now really bland and overpriced hardly any meat in curry and nowhere near as nice as use to be would not use or recommend again

Lovely friendly staff,quick service and very nice food

The Fish bar got my order wrong I walked back they said they couldn't replace it as they were closing and didn't have time to cook it and the ones in the hot cupboard were sold could believe it. Gave it another try tonight once again even having fishcakes in stock refused to cook it as they were shutting in 20 minutes. Really poor experience both times the lady behind the counter couldn't care or didn't even apologise.

We used this chippy/Chinese for many years whilst living in the area for over 20yrs through the 80’s, 90’s and early 00’s always good tasty food at a good price. The last time I had food here was last year, I was just visiting for a few days… says a lot. Some people used to say the chips were greasy but as with all things it’s what you get used to and for me this chippy set the standard. We would regularly have a beef curry, probably once a fortnight and again, it’s what you get used.

Next day bad stomach guaranteed, chip portions are bad u might aswell by a normal portion if you want a large

Although the fish and chips are nice please do not buy the Chinese I wasted 13 pound of my money it was poor no taste whatsoever I ordered roast pork with mushroom and chicken fried rice after 2 mouthfuls I had to bin it 😔😔. Will use the fish and chip shop but will never order Chinese food there again 🤢🤢

Great fish and chips and Chinese to boot!

We normally have a takeaway from here and I always have the same, sweet and sour Cantonese chicken. Tonight was awful, slimy chicken and batter. Other half is celiac, yet it looked like soy sauce in onion.Foo young swimming in water and prawns taste not right When I phoned to complain they weren't interested and said they weren't doing anything about it. So much for looking after your customers who keep using your service. Not no more!

Ordered for a delivery. An hr later our delivery arrived, only for it to be wrong. Wife rang back up to explain that the order was wrong. The female staff member who she spoke to was extremely rude and said that our order was correct, even though it wasn't. There is no customer service here, just very rude and argumentative staff.. Will never order from here again. Very disappointed!

Very poor food cold and in need of changing the oil more often

We had sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style, well that's what it said in the menu. I have had some bad Chinese meals over the years but this was by far the worst. Absolute bland and horrible, on the plus side it was hot. But won't be going back anytime soon.

Good food and travelling from Gloucester to visit family so we like to have a takeaway but sadly dont do gluten free currently. Not ideal for a coeliac. Shame.

Food from here is wonderful, very reasonable prices, and the selection of English food s great, and then you see they are a Chinese takeaway also. What more could you ask for. Highly recommended 😉

Ordered burgers yesterday, received them with just the patty and a pine apple ring, no tomato ,lettuce, or any sauce dry and uneditable only fit for the bin

There's only a small amount of work needed for a chip butty!!You want thick bread slices buttered and then filled with chips! The clue is in the name really.I have posted a picture of what I received in a dry bun!! A bun!! Dear Lord. It's bad enough being at the Oval of all places.Anyway this business I can see failing pretty soon just trying to help by giving the heads up. Maybe stay on furlough to keep it running longer?Good luck,Josh

The worst experience I’ve ever had! Not only was it over half an hour late, which happens! Then they got the wrong address... again accidents happen. Food was then cold... The list goes on... they forgot the bottle of coke we ordered and the delivery drive attitude was “what so I have to go all the way back” to then discover they got a curry wrong... so we rang up and explained this got £5 back after spending almost £50!’ We were so hungry we didn’t care at this point. We’re enjoying our flavourless curry to see that my chicken curry has got pink in it! As the photo shows... if anyone sees pink in a chicken based product it sends warning bells. So we are now back on the phone to the manger who is rude!! Telling us it can’t be uncooked and continued to argue with us.. and remind us how he’s already giving us £5 back and free curry... (wouldn’t need the curry if they didn’t mess one up) he than began to rise his voice. So at this point... we are saying we won’t be using this service again, this was our first time using it as well. He then told us we are barred. What an utter joke of food and even worse customer service. So in all we got late, cold, wrong, uncooked food and terrible customer service.I can generally say I’m really happy to be barred

If you want to die please eat here !! Hygiene is disgusting I really don’t know how they are still going !! They don’t even cook the food through I had food poisoning !! Servers are also rude, I will never eat here again and will make sure anyone I care about doesn’t either !!!

It was ok I had a fish and chips the chips were nice but the fish was not the best and the worst was a chip I bite in half and I saw a hair that was in my chip!

I've called for chips before and they've been OK but I recently had F&C and they were very greasy. The fish was supposed to be cod but I'm not sure about that. The staff were friendly so I'll call again and give it another chance.

Don't go here if you fancy fish and chips in the evening. I just walked down for fish and chips and they said the fish would be half an hour because they would have to turn the fryer back on.

The chips vary sometimes good sometimes bad. The fish is foul.

where to start. The place is filthy, food is disgusting and luke warm the chinese dont even taste right like its frozen crap heated up. staff are rude and when they get ur order wrong when delivered the response is oh well. would never go again would never recommend to anyonesave ya money.

Cod and chips. The cod was succulent and the batter crispy. The chips were hot, crispy-ish and free from excess oil. A tasty lunch.

Good takeaway. Chinese delivery is normally quite fast and the staff are friendly when you visit.

I ordered one of the special meals and asked for the curry to be placed in a pot as it makes the chips all soggy when poured over and was told no otherwise it wouldn't be a special,,, what is special about soggy chips,, I didn't want any extra than the usuall amount specified,, for the price of a 10p polystyrene pot I won't be spending anymore of my money there,, have put in many large Chinese and chippy orders,, going somewhere else from now on,, TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE,, 10p pot has cost them dear,, and I would have paid 10p extra for the pot,,2j better

El chef de cocina, no tiene ningún problema para mí! El chef ha separado para cocinar todas las sartenes platos sin gluten gratis. Comprende celiaquía como alguien en la familia tiene. chefs Lo que me hace sentir más a gusto, sabiendo que comprende lo que él está haciendo! Él hace mucho esfuerzo para cocinar para mí. Visited tonight worst Chinese food I've ever had !! 90% of it went in the bin kids had sausage and chips. Says was raw chips were also tasteless Avoid like the plague it's gross

If a premises is open I expect to be served. My husband went to get chips at ten to two today to be told they had sold out! And as it was late they wouldn't cook anymore. How long does it take to cook a few chips? Why didn't they just shut up shop if they were not serving?

Ordered a beef curry xxxxx hot no veg, well in 45 years of curries all over the world this had to be the worst, it had about 6 tiny pieces of beef or plastic not sure, onions and mushrooms, I asked for no veg, and the taste was disgusting, even the rice was tasteless and as for the chips it was all rubbish,, do not use this was my first and last

We don't eat fish and chips very often but we fancied it for a change we live 1 min from the oval by time I got home opened our fish was stone cold very dried out throughout the whole fish I ate the chips but they were all mashed and squashed never seen anything like it waste of £13.90 never again!!

We ordered food for our Halloween treat. The food arrived swiftly and the lady who deliverd it was lovely too. BUT... The food was shocking the satay chicken was just salt makes your tongue burn to eat it. Sweet and sour sauce was watery red vinegar. When we called to complain the man who answerd called us liars and was very rude only offerd refund for one dish, told us that it was not down to them on flavour as its a packet mix and they only add water. We agreed to 5.10 refund after much deliberation on the phone same delivery lady came with refund so we gave her the food back then a few minutes later she knocked again and gave us a full refund as they had opened a new batch of powder and not added sugar to it. So it was proved we were right after he had told us he had tasted everything before it left the shop. WIll NOT ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN AS 5.10 IS REDICULOUS FOR POWDER AND WATER!!!!!!! Need to give that man customer service training..

The food was piping hot, the service swift and friendly. We ordered from the Chinese menu as well as the chip shop menu and every one was happy with their meals.

I like the chips but the fish tasted horrible. My Dad LOVES the sausages but I don't like any of it only the chips with the Currey.

Ordered a chinese last week and it was literally the worst chinese I have ever had. Waited over two hours for it to be delivered, and when I rang up wondering where my food was, I was spoken too in a very rude manner. When the food arrived it was cold and I was missing one of the dishes I ordered. No free prawn crackers either. Shall not be ordering from here again. This chinese is definitely going down hill.

Shocking service. Will never use again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. IF YOU WAIT FOR ANSWER THE FOLLOWING DAY DAWNS. Eventually spoke to owner who could not care less. His LOSS. Shame as food is GREAT. Will be out of business within a month and deserves to be. He lost our order of £234 to another Chinese takeaway.
