Real crispy batter on the fish , delicious 😋

I recently ordered fish and chips from plym fish bar and overall, it was absolutely delicious! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, while the chips were golden, chunky, and full of flavour. The batter had that ideal balance of crunch and lightness, and the portion size was generous—great value for money! The only downside? **They forgot my curry sauce!** 😩 As someone who loves a good curry dip with my chips, this was a bit disappointing. That said, the food itself was so tasty that I’d definitely order again—I’ll just double-check my order next time! *P.S. Please don’t forget the sauces next time—it makes all the difference!

Had a fantastic Sunday roast here last Sunday with a large group of friends.. Very reasonable at £14.99 or £16.99 for a selection of all the meats. Served with plenty of beautifully prepared vegetables. Great location with plenty of atmosphere. The Staff were friendly and very helpful. Many thanks from Bristol !

Only call in when travelling to Chard, always make detour to get my fish and chips here. The batter and fish is the best I have ever had, from Blackpool, Yorkshire, all over UK. Best wishes.

Going to what is geographically my local Fish N Chip shop ( I don't go there often as what used to be a "poor mans dinner is far from it now!) I was greeted by staff who although friendly weren't informative about what wasn't available until you had pretty much ordered - for me if I had known curry sauce wasn't available I wouldn't have ordered anything. This was followed by them prioritizing drivers collecting online orders over the orders from people who had taken the time to travel to the shop, order and wait for their food. To add to this comment a lady came in after me and only ordered a small portion of chips a delivery driver was served before me then I was served and then her when it would have taken minutes to have served and completed her order and have her on her way home. From my perspective this in completely unacceptable and I would definitely hesitate to go back would likely spread word of my experience.

Just had the best sausage and bacon bap with a coffee for a long time very polite and friendly staff fantastic service food was really good highly recommend a visit I sat out side.

Great Place , Highly Recommend them if like fresh Seafood you must Visit. John and Sue are a great Team and very helpful. When I can not get down to visit I Always have fresh crab sent up Country from them and its Always Exceptionally fresh.

A young man took my order then disappeared to the back of the shop. A lady with long hair was serving customers whohad come afteer me. I enquired as to my order and without an apology she then placed the chips in a carrier bag with the fish on top in the same bag. The batter was stuck to the chips and when home just had a with a soggy mess. The previous owners always put the fish in a seperate box? For over a decade I have found the food to be excelent in the past but I shall not be returning to Seafoods again but order from Ferndown.

Brilliant chippy, has been for years. Huge portion sizes always hot food and delicious. 5 star chippy this one. Lots of choices on the menu, polite and warming staff

Had a evening trip out to the local park and thought we would stop and get some food. We ordered 2 x chicken nugget children's meals and 1 x burger kids meal. All 3 meals did not come with any chips, or a drink. Myself and partner got 1 x fish and chips and 1 x jumbo sausage and chips. We also purchased 5 cans of soft drink, a gravy and a mild curry sauce. Coming to a total of £37.90, That fact that the kids meals did not come with chips really thrown us off as we went to a park and had to share around just the 2 portions we got for ourselves. On top of the large order, we then asked for a paper bag, which We then had to find 10pence for. They kindly gave it to us for 9p after they didn't accept card for a small transaction. Food was terrible, Kids burger had sweet chilli when we asked for tomato sauce. Sausage was cheap and full of griddle. Fish batter was nice but absolute no taste to the fish, assuming must of been frozen. Terrible experience all round and will not re-visit.

The food at The Butchers Block is fresh, yummy and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend! There is a wide variety to chose from including vegetarian options and healthier options too.
