Loved the duck confit scotch eggs and the venison was beautifully cooked. Great friendly and attentive service.

Superb lunch, expertly cooked and served with grace.

A bit chilly where we sat but the staff quickly banked up the fire for us. We will return.

Excellent Sunday Roast, ran out of roast pork so had roast lamb, plenty of delicious vegetables.

Lovely meal and the guy serving us was fabulous.<br /><br />Food was really great as was the beer.<br /><br />We were in a conservatory which was warmer than outside but one of the back doors was broken and so it was a bit drafty when it was left open, which was annoyingly frequent.

Lovely place. Very quiet the night we went but we were treated really nicely and the food was amazing. Wine list good and service perfect.

Lovely food, nice lunch was had by all. Maybe Frank Sinatra was a little loud and a change would have been nice, too. We loved the open fire, but the smoke smell was a little overpowering. In all we enjoyed ourselves.

An interesting menu - full of things I&#039;d never dream of cooking at home, which didn&#039;t disappoint, in fact was thoroughly enjoyed. The wine list also very good. And for beer lovers, there&#039;s plenty of choice

Good and service was good. But the place was very dirty.. we were first for lunch at 12, and there were stood on chips and half a pitta on the floor, clearly from the previous evenings service.

The food was varied in choice but the choice I made was bland. The merlot was rough.

Great service despite it being a busy Boxing Day, absolutely brilliant food from the winter lunch menu. Would highly recommend!

Food was delicious! Best roast we’ve had in the vicinity of Oxford. Nice cycle up from town and very cosy inside. Only criticism was being squished in between two tables when there were others free.

We loved it! After being out of the country for 2 years this was our first Sunday lunch for a while and it was perfect, we cleared our plates. Loved the outdoor pods, food and service.

We where sat down without menus or being offered a drink, we waited 20 minutes until we had to flag a waitress down to ask for menus and our drinks. The food looks the part but has no flavour, don’t think the chefs know what seasoning is. Very disappointing!

What a find. The lovely thing is, it’s a pub with great beer and a well thought about wine list. The food was fantastic as good some high end restaurants but you are very much in good pub. <br />The service was great they accompanied our 4 year old granddaughter brilliantly. Great value too. Will definitely be going back.

Food is always excellent, unfortunately the service on this visit wasn’t up to its usual high standards but it wouldn’t put us off returning. The dining room is always cold and crafty so need to wrap up warmly.

A lovely lunch today here. The staff very attentive too, responding to our comments about the table being chilly by promptly moving us to a spot by the fire. Good choice on the menu and a welcome departure from the usual Christmas fare many establishments force upon you at this time of the year! We will be back.

We arrived at 12.30, fire was roaring, but it was cold in the bar restaurant. Even after enjoying a lovely warming soup, I was freezing. Our guest equally. Just uncomfortable to sit, chilly, for a couple of hours. Otherwise, service very lovely, food very delicious.

The whole set up at the White Hart is fantastic - it could do with a few more Christmas decorations, although it is early so there is plenty of time to do this. It is a most beautiful pub, the food is great, the staff are amazing and it will help deal with the misery of Covid.

Having asked to be seated inside I was disappointed to be sitting in a cold lean-to and had to keep my coat on all meal as did other customers. Place is obviously very popular as staff very busy. Food was excellent.

The wait staff was amazing and attentive. They wore masks while serving us. The outdoor dining area was covered and well ventilated, and our table was covered with its own heater. Food was served quickly and was absolutely wonderful. Great assortment of veg for the Sunday roast and the pork was delicious as well. We will be back again!!

Excellent food and excellent service in the wonderful White Hart in Wytham. I have been going to the pub for over 40 years and it is currently clearly in very good hands.

I used to go regularly when I was 18+; I hadn’t been for over 30 years so I was excited to return. The pub has retained its character and the additions - the outdoor area and the fantastic menu - are fab. The butternut tartlet was delicious. Will be back!

5star all around -I had heard a lot of good things about this place and it did not disappoint. A lovely cosy pub, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff all very accommodating and patient with us helping to manage 3 toddlers.

We had an excellent meal at the White Hart to celebrate a birthday. There was a great menu of wonderful food and there was a very good range of drinks available, and everything we had was very enjoyable. The White Hart also has a very cosy ambience which makes for a relaxing meal. We can certainly recommend it.

An excellent Sunday lunch with attentive service in a lovely setting.

We have been on three occasions for Sunday lunch and would go every Sunday if we could.

We went for Sunday lunch and sat outside in a covered area. It was too busy inside as I’d left it late to book but it’s pretty outside. The food really was extremely good, we’ve been talking about it all week and look forward to visiting again soon.

A nice place to have traditional Sunday lunch. Our party tried all three roasts and cannot decide which one is better. We sacrificed the starters for the desserts and we all agreed (for once) it was a wise move!! For those who prefer outdoor seating but worry about the British winter, the country pub has turned the courtyard into an open and yet covered area with romantic seatings.

Friendly staff but we waited quite a long time for our initial drink, menus and to order food. <br />After that service was quick and the food was lovely.

Gorgeous food, well presented, served with great local beer too (Tap Social, a particularly good local micro brewery with a good cause to help people get back into work). The fire was burning and the service was fab. Never disappointed at this pub!

This is my happy place. It wraps me in it&#039;s ambience of history, beauty, and old walls. Somehow, a glass of wine or a pint, taste all the better here. Being a gastro-pub of note, one can savour the exquisite culinary delights, which are more like &#039;taste adventures&#039;. I tried the gorgeous beetroot carpaccio with blackberries, as an amuse-bouche before my confit of lamb arrived. This was tender and delicious, such as I&#039;ve never had before. How lovely that much of the fare is &#039;foraged&#039; locally. The staff are friendly and efficient. I could have sat there, cosy by the fire, until the cows came home. It is my favourite pub in England.

This was our second visit and we were happy to find that our first very pleasant visit was not a one off. The food is very good and the chef has a great skill with flavours.<br />My friend who is not a vegetarian joined me this time and also had the vegetarian dish we were both delighted with both the main and desert.

We enjoyed our meal and were well served. The seating bubble is good for four people wanting for feel safe while they eat. The service was friendly and efficient.

We will definitely go there again - great to return to this pub after lockdown and we felt that everything had improved since the last time we went

One of the best pub Sunday lunches I’ve had in a very long time (if not ever!) <br /><br />The service was excellent, the food was even better and all in the charming surroundings of Wytham. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The atmosphere was very good. We dined outdoors, sitting in one of the &quot;pods&quot;. It was evening (dark) and the fairy lights made it very atmospheric and romantic.<br /><br />The food was very good, as was the service.<br /><br />I will be going again.

The pub is normally excellent but today was bad. I have been told that chef could not get the ingredients he wanted and this through poor deliveries and no drivers and foods temporarily unavailable. It is becoming common in many a pub around here. Morale was low and the kitchen could not get sufficient assistants and the service poor. I would wait until the effects of Brexit have worn off so that normal service can be resumed when/if ever that is.

The White Hart has set out its back garden with the tables in &#039;bubbles&#039; and all of them under a high canopy too - so sitting out in the rain (as we did) is absolutely fine. The menu was slightly limited due to lack of staff (like everywhere) but the service was excellent, and the food was excellent. I&#039;m on a diet and (annoyingly) asked for a burger without chips or bun. You often get exactly that, but not this time. The chefs had bulked up my plate with a delicious salad, the burger was good, and I left most pleased with the whole experience, including the service, which as my (male) dining partner had asked the waitress how much she weighed, was surprisingly very good.
