Had a fantastic Sunday roast here last Sunday with a large group of friends.. Very reasonable at £14.99 or £16.99 for a selection of all the meats. Served with plenty of beautifully prepared vegetables. Great location with plenty of atmosphere. The Staff were friendly and very helpful. Many thanks from Bristol !

Best Sunday roast lunch we have had in a long time. Food very tasty, good portions, veggie roast lush, deserts delicious, staff welcoming and friendly. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Would of been nice to have been offered condiments with our food like salt pepper etc. Would of also been nice for the option of peppercorn or blue cheese sauce for the steak too

The food is still of a good quality, unfortunately the new owners still have some problems with service which I am sure will soon be sorted

Eat somewhere else. The table service was a disaster- although it was 'allegedly' a restauraunt. The staff forgot which table we had booked at. They delivered a first course then took it away again. It was over an hour and a half till the main courses arrived (fish and chips) and they were not warm. We'd have done better going to the chip shop. The bar staff, probably all just out of school, didn't know how to make a gin and tonic. Chaotic and disorganised. Badly needs a chef.

Nice atmospheric locals pub with friendliness thrown in. Young licensee who was very friendly and chatty. Outside area with garden we used the bar area at teatime as it was hot and we had two mini schnauzers with us which were made welcome. Would visit again if in the area as it was relaxing and friendly

We enjoyed a superb Friday evening here and enjoyed excellent food as well. It’s a lively place with a good mix of locals and tourists and very friendly indeed. We were hoping to have a couple more nights there but unfortunately it was closed for sickness. Hope all is well now as I think it’s the best of the three pubs in the village.

The food was very good and the staff friendly. It was huge inside but a quiet evening so not much atmosphere but that was ok as we had children with us. It was a nice touching having the sofa area with games for them.

A beautiful pub, serving a fantastic choice of beverages. We visited on Sunday after a phone call where the landlord recommended a taxi service from where we were staying. On our arrival, we were served a fabulous Sunday roast and absolutely lush deserts. Great hospitality, welcoming, polite, and friendly. Dog friendly. A pub worth a visit in the beautiful village of Hartland.

Had my son and daughter in laws wedding reception here. Service was good, and the food was amazing, including really good vegan and vegetarian options. It was a wonderful atmosphere, felt really intimate and cosy and we all felt really at home. Really good value...

Lovely meal and the guy serving us was fabulous.<br /><br />Food was really great as was the beer.<br /><br />We were in a conservatory which was warmer than outside but one of the back doors was broken and so it was a bit drafty when it was left open, which was annoyingly frequent.

Excellent Sunday Roast, ran out of roast pork so had roast lamb, plenty of delicious vegetables.

Lovely food, nice lunch was had by all. Maybe Frank Sinatra was a little loud and a change would have been nice, too. We loved the open fire, but the smoke smell was a little overpowering. In all we enjoyed ourselves.

Good and service was good. But the place was very dirty.. we were first for lunch at 12, and there were stood on chips and half a pitta on the floor, clearly from the previous evenings service.

The White Hart is always excellent. Yesterday’s lunch did not disappoint - great beer, roaring fire and venison off the hill. What more could want.

The food was varied in choice but the choice I made was bland. The merlot was rough.

Possibly the best Sunday roast in Oxfordshire

Food was delicious! Best roast we’ve had in the vicinity of Oxford. Nice cycle up from town and very cosy inside. Only criticism was being squished in between two tables when there were others free.

Great place wonderful decor. They had really made an effort. Food great.

We loved it! After being out of the country for 2 years this was our first Sunday lunch for a while and it was perfect, we cleared our plates. Loved the outdoor pods, food and service.

We where sat down without menus or being offered a drink, we waited 20 minutes until we had to flag a waitress down to ask for menus and our drinks. The food looks the part but has no flavour, don’t think the chefs know what seasoning is. Very disappointing!

A lovely lunch today here. The staff very attentive too, responding to our comments about the table being chilly by promptly moving us to a spot by the fire. Good choice on the menu and a welcome departure from the usual Christmas fare many establishments force upon you at this time of the year! We will be back.

Food is always excellent, unfortunately the service on this visit wasn’t up to its usual high standards but it wouldn’t put us off returning. The dining room is always cold and crafty so need to wrap up warmly.

What a find. The lovely thing is, it’s a pub with great beer and a well thought about wine list. The food was fantastic as good some high end restaurants but you are very much in good pub. <br />The service was great they accompanied our 4 year old granddaughter brilliantly. Great value too. Will definitely be going back.

Ordered fish chunky skin on chips, salad & mushy peas. Fish was delicious but no salad or mushy peas and special chips replaced with very ordinary frozen fries. Very disappointing. Won’t be returning.

As always an outstanding experience. Especially the forced rhubarb dessert.

We arrived at 12.30, fire was roaring, but it was cold in the bar restaurant. Even after enjoying a lovely warming soup, I was freezing. Our guest equally. Just uncomfortable to sit, chilly, for a couple of hours. Otherwise, service very lovely, food very delicious.

The whole set up at the White Hart is fantastic - it could do with a few more Christmas decorations, although it is early so there is plenty of time to do this. It is a most beautiful pub, the food is great, the staff are amazing and it will help deal with the misery of Covid.

The wait staff was amazing and attentive. They wore masks while serving us. The outdoor dining area was covered and well ventilated, and our table was covered with its own heater. Food was served quickly and was absolutely wonderful. Great assortment of veg for the Sunday roast and the pork was delicious as well. We will be back again!!

Having asked to be seated inside I was disappointed to be sitting in a cold lean-to and had to keep my coat on all meal as did other customers. Place is obviously very popular as staff very busy. Food was excellent.

Excellent food and excellent service in the wonderful White Hart in Wytham. I have been going to the pub for over 40 years and it is currently clearly in very good hands.

I used to go regularly when I was 18+; I hadn’t been for over 30 years so I was excited to return. The pub has retained its character and the additions - the outdoor area and the fantastic menu - are fab. The butternut tartlet was delicious. Will be back!

We had an excellent meal at the White Hart to celebrate a birthday. There was a great menu of wonderful food and there was a very good range of drinks available, and everything we had was very enjoyable. The White Hart also has a very cosy ambience which makes for a relaxing meal. We can certainly recommend it.

5star all around -I had heard a lot of good things about this place and it did not disappoint. A lovely cosy pub, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff all very accommodating and patient with us helping to manage 3 toddlers.
