Caspian Fish Bar in South Gloucestershire

Particularly like the fish bites, and the portions are incredible, many thanks to Mo and Co, they always look after us really well

This was our second experience of getting takeaway from Caspian and they were both 5/5 from the cook to the taste. We have tried the battered cod, jumbo sausage, chicken pie and chips. Everything was incredibly satisfying and we would have it all again.

Bought fish and chips from this shop for the first time for my family. , it was so delicious and fresh. We enjoyed it. Will visit again. The owner lady is so welcoming and helpful,

Always use this chippy, chips always nice plus only get a large bag if you are feeding a large family! I'm a Gannett and their large bag of chips always makes me smile😆👍owner manager lady is always friendly towards me and smiley despite tricky times for her,would recommend if your nearby

Upon visiting this fish shop, the lady (owner) had overpriced me for my meal. I politely questioned this, and the attitude I recieved was disgusting. She stated to me that she doesn't need my money as she is the owner, and after a short debate; she threw me out. I was filled with anger and rage because of how I was speaken to, but I politely turned around and walked out. As I walking away, she was still shouting at me saying "Im the owner, I dont your money!!!".

I ordered curry and chips with a sausage, that come to £4.40 according to the board. I was charged £5 and when I questioned this the lady told me she doesn't need my money and if I don't want it then go. So I took her advice and left the food there!

Food is very tasty and portions are large always hot and staff are friendly and enjoy talking to customers. When friends ask were we get are fish and chips always pass on their name - have event seen police getting food from them.

Had fish and chips. Fish was bone dry inside and batter was floppy (no sign of anything crispy) and chips tasted like they were a week old. Wont be going back. Only gave 1 star as this app wont allow you to leave 0.

After being stuck in traffic for 2 hours we stopped here for fish and chips. Huge portions, great choice and tasted amazing, all for a really good price. The lovely young lady who served us is amazing, really friendly, helpful and very smiley. Great little chippy!

Husband bought pie and chips from here but never again will he buy from here the chips weren’t cooked still tasted raw plus the pie was soggy

Large cod and chips would have easily fed 3 people. Friendly owners and great food, why wouldn't you.

Fish was lovely however, chips awful, were left over from lunchtime, like cardboard. Shouldnt be able to serve them like it!!

Wouldn’t Recommend - Kebab is very hard and over cooked - Chips were brown and hard - Rude Staff , woman and man - The floor was dirty aswell

This place is disgusting there’s no customer service nor any respect from the owner and a young boy who works there they don’t even keep fish and meat separate which is a cause for contamination ontop they are so rude In there have been many times but won’t be going again especially as the boy told me to get out and never come back actually pathetic service

I am going to fish shop every after noon ,Shope is so clean no any fingerprints, floor clean, lady have nice smile and when I see her make me happy ,food is amazing fish is so big and chip is nice and fresh I hope new owner have lovely business in this place .Thank you for your lovely customer service .

Visited at the end of a busy night and lady with the tattoos on her arms seemed to be taking her frustration out on me and my husband. I've visited many times even though it's not my most local because usually the staff have been lovely but this lady was foul and very passive aggressive because we had come in 15 mins before close. I've since heard a similar story from another customer and sounded like the same lady. Won't be going back after that as I didn't want clear annoyance for our custom with our food! I've worked as a chef and in customer service for several years and would never dream of talking to customers the way she did. She shouldn't be working in customer service with her attitude. Disappointed.

Visited on good Friday to grab chips for myself and friends. Parked outside, the place was really busy which was a good sign.

This traditional chip shop is long established in bristol and has had Caspian takeaways all over North Bristol in various locations. You get always large portion of family sized chips when you get an order. They serve all the standard chip shop items and are good value for money. Recommended if you gotta feed a lot of people.

It's well priced and food is good . And never long to wait parking is right out side the front doors

I popped into this takeaway while passing to grab some food. The fish was huge and very tasty however the chips were quite soggy and not crispy. They were falling apart and were mushy. Its a shame as I had heard good things about this fish bar.

This is now our chip shop of choice, even though it is 6 miles away and we have 3 within 2 miles. Pure and simple. High standard of food and they do not skimp on the portions. This means you pay less in the long run.

Close to were I work, a morning visit to Caspians is never a disappointment. Cooked fresh every time egg, bacon, sausage and baked beans with toast & a cup of tea and all for £3. An excellent start to the day and I should try more often if not trying to watch the calories... friendly staff, quick service (even at the busiest of times) value for money.Lunchtime takeaway... delicious fish and chips, pies, pasties etc...not afraid to say a frequent visited when sandwiches get boring. Have been a customer for many years and now time to sing their praises... not as expensive as the other local chippy in the town and once tried will entice you back again.

Me alegro tanto de haberlo hecho, probablemente las mejores patatas fritas que he tenido en mucho tiempo, muy ligero, sabroso y no grasienta en todo la porción era enorme y podría haber alimentado a una familia de 4. Excelente pescado y Savaloy salchichas terminamos un órdago Cena la noche del miércoles.

Hemos estado viniendo aquí por ahora. Siempre nos encanta generosas porciones y el pescado es increíble. Lo recomiendo sin duda. El servicio es muy amable y los precios son muy razonables.

Popped in by chance when passing for fish and chips. Wow. £5 for a cod lot, fish is lovely and flakey, skinless and in a light batter. Chips taste absolutely lovely. Best of all, the portion size of the chips is the best I've ever had - probably double what some other places give. Enjoyed my first visit so much, have now been back 4 times, even though it;s out of my way. Every time it's been lovely.

Recently opened in Patchway and to much acclaim, this traditional fish and chip shop which prepares its own fresh food daily is a delight and must visit. Well run, and well maintained by excellent staff. The prices are very competitive, the portions are generous, and the food is of exceptionally high quality. Easily the best fish and chip shop within a 10 mile radius!! Give these fantasmic guys a visit and make sure your "Chips night" visit is to Caspian Fish Bar, second to no one in the Bristol area - fact!
