The best restaurants serving Seafood food in South East

Lovely local chippy, food is always really nice, staff are very friendly and welcoming, happy it’s my local :)

Just plain awful. Deep fried scrambled eggs which was a first and last. Avoid at all costs. It's changed name but same awful food and service.

The burger was burnt, as shown in the attached photo, and it arrived at our table quite cold. I took the time to express my concerns through a Google Review and providing a photo, but the response from the owner lacked ANY apology for such awful food! So I decided to best post a review on TripAdvisor too. I'm often in the area, but the food (& attitude) mean that I will not eat at Rockwater ever again.

Este es el mejor pescado y patatas fritas que he tenido en mucho tiempo. es la 1 vez en la calle que fui a este lugar de pescado y patatas fritas en Brighton donde tenía el pescado y patatas fritas impresionante que el personal hizo un trabajo increíble haciendo la porción correcta de pescado y patatas fritas para mí. Fui a la de Brighton en mayo de 2019 donde vine aquí para una cena de fish and chips. Gran servicio y un gran lugar en el paseo marítimo de Brighton. Paseos justos para los niños menores de 16 años para disfrutar y un pub para los adultos mayores de 18 años. Espero que vuelva a este lugar en algún momento en el futuro.

Most delicious chips, fish cake and mushy peas I’ve had for some time. Piping hot, crispy, freshly cooked. Simple, basic premises but friendly service and most importantly top class chips and food.

Absolutely spot on just eat driver failed to arrive so the restaurant owner delivered my food himself. Great service great food will definitely come back again. Than you again it's hard for a truck driver to get food but you made it happen I'm 1 very happy man

Decided to visit upon recommendation to get fish and chips for the family. I can hand on heart say this was by far the worst takeaway I've ever had. The food was honestly disgusting. The 'large' piece of cod (for £9) was soggy and tasted awful. Saveloys were inedible and chips barely passable. I know there will be people who like this place however I'm not one of them and never leave reviews as I'm not fussed with this kind of thing but think I should share my awful experience. Owner (or one of the workers) friendly enough but I visited for a tasty fresh meal & that's certainly not what I got. Sorry but don't waste your money. Very very disappointing.

Tried to order online at 8pm as the website said they were open till 10, but minutes later got a message from Just Eat saying the restaurant had cancelled the order. Clearly they are busy enough to not need more customers!

Ive not long been discharged from hospital after eating a kebab from here which almost killed me as i got salmonella which attacked my blood, my kidneys and heart was also affected. Hopefully they are now following the guidelines so no-one else gets severely ill .

We ordered for delivery for us and the kids for a treat meal. Honestly, I'm so disappointed... The regular cod was tiny and had more batter on it than there was fish. The kids wanted fish bites x2 and a kids cod and chips. The cod bites were tiny, and for the same price as the cod bites, the piece of cod was ONE of the cod bites!! How is that right?! All the meals were overly greasy, which yes you expect from fish and chips, but this was overly greasy. After eating what should have been enough food to have for dinner, I'm now considering making something from the cupboard because I feels like it was a very expensive snack! Seriously, save your money or go somewhere else.

I've been a loyal customer of this Mr. Cod’s branch for over 16 years, and I’m truly disappointed with the recent decline in quality since the last owner left. Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed a significant drop in food quality, smaller portion sizes, and an increase in prices. For example, the wings meal cost £7.47, and the size of the wings is ridiculous—one was barely the size of my little finger. Shown in the picture. The chicken burger patty has also shrunk both in size and thickness, making the meal far less satisfying than it used to be. To make things worse, when I tried to pay by card, I was repeatedly encouraged to pay in cash with the offer of a 10% discount if I spent a certain amount. While I understand offering incentives, it’s important to respect a customer’s preferred payment method. If a customer chooses not to pay in cash, that choice should still be accepted without pressure. I hope the management seriously considers this feedback. This place used to be great, and I’d love to see it return to its former standards.

Be very careful of this restaurant very expensive. Here comes the best bet you order your food BUT before you eat anything you have to pay for it WHY I don’t know . Also they hide the service charge which I always tip for a good service ( which I haven’t had yet ) but I don’t want to be told what I should pay . I can see now why on the pay week end and Saturday night why it so quiet is because you have to pay before you You eat

The lady does not understand when you order and gets orders wrong. Service and attitude of staff is poor. Food is not that great either.
