Mr Cod 543 Oxford Road in Reading

The guy who is serving me a food I think his name is ushman he offered me a Dipped chicken burger and I've tried that was amazing I really like that. And I will come back again nice customer service highly recommended to others .

Regular attendee of Mr Cod franchises. Overall average burger meal - patties themselves were dry and not hot despite being prepared freshly, however chips were of a good standard, although the portion was a little tight for the price. Service was prompt within 10mins of ordering, however the server was a little unclear in communicating. Atmosphere was difficult to judge with only one other customer present, however the shop space is a little cramped so can imagine it can be quite stuffy in busy periods.

Food is OK need to improve customer service urgently. Minimum Card pay £10 🤔 🙄. I Spend £15 & the guy ask me 0.50P for each source dip. In same Oxford Road I know some shops they give you 1 free souce dip when you even spend £3. Really disappointing No recommend

Chips were typical but the fish batter was pretty soggy for me. Not bad but for the price not the best. Also specified no salt or vinegar yet they added salt anyway.

minimum £10 for card payments! absolutely rubbish they are forcing you to buy at least 2 meals just to pay via card. how are these takeaways allowed to do this.

I have been eating Mr Cod since 1990 and this Oxford Road branch is the best Mr Cod in Reading by far, they always give you fresh chips

Staff were excellent, food was unparalleled. My go to take away whenever the family want to it. Masala fish is always a killer.

We order at least once a week for our family takeaway, food is always on point and portions are great. The taste has never disappointed and staff are always very friendly and helpful.

I went to Mr cod and enjoyed the cod and chips the sauces were official heinz , the fish was lovely and crispy the chips were done properly

I was visit yesterday in the shop and I was little confused about what I can eat and staff said me you can try masala fish and ill try it was amazing taste I love it..

Still one of the worst fish and chip shops in Reading, zero attention to customers. Went in to order food, waited for about 2 minutes while an employee casually sat on his phone without even acknowledging me. Walked out, who ever owns this franchise should be out of business

This doesn’t hit the spot. The Mr Cod on Oxford Street is so much more nicer. The flavour isn’t there and not much taste with the fish and chips here.
