Tuvimos una comida maravillosa, y excelente relación calidad-precio. Tuve la langosta (muy generoso) y mi pareja tenía el marisco Bowl. Preciosas locales cocinadas con agradecimiento por su procedencia. Una botella de la casa roja (bien elegido) y un postre compartido... bajo 45 libras!! John y su encantador personal nos cuidó muy bien... Me alegro que recomendar este nuevo añadido a la London Road. ¡volveremos!

Goujon Monkey catered our wedding and were absolutely wonderful. Everyone has said how delicious the food was and some even said it was the best halloumi they had ever had. I’d definitely recommend considering them for your next event - we will be recommending to all of our friends and family.

El mejor pescado y patatas fritas que hemos tenido, golpearon lugares fuera de los locales. Excelente relación calidad-precio. Todo el pescado es preparado a pedido y es preciosa y fresco.

Amazing fish and chips, really glad I discovered this place. The food was up there with the very best I have ever had out of the countless chip shops I have tried up and down the country. Got to be the best in Reading and probably Berkshire too. Expertly cooked to order with quality ingredients getting every aspect just right. Light, crisp batter with tender fresh cod inside with the best chips I have had in a very long time - chunky thick cut, nice golden brown colour, crisp on the outside and soft potato inside. Both the fish and the chips were well drained and not greasy. Cod, small chips and mushy peas cost £11.10. Not the cheapest but worth every penny and nice large portion sizes. The food was well packed in a cardboard box so stayed warm and didn’t go soggy at all before eating. The shop looks a bit run down on the outside and isn’t in the nicest part of town, but don’t let that put you off, it’s very clean inside and has 5/5 food hygiene rating. Friendly service and the usual menu choices. This is one of those places that looks like it hasn’t changed in decades, but with food that good there is nothing that needs changing! Highly recommended, I will definitely be back. Cannot fault them, wish it was my local!

Lovely staff, lovely food. Where ever i go i compare them to this plaice, and can't wait to get back to some properly cooked chips. They don't skimp and you definitely get your moneys worth. I only hate it when they have their Xmas break( a well deserved break). I go almost every week. Wish I could cook them as well as they do.

We had home delivery it arrived and hot .Best fish and chip shop .Will definitely use Marinos again and highly recommend

Our host was incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The service throughout our meal was impeccable; our server was attentive and knowledgeable, ready to offer recommendations and answer any questions. As we gazed out the window, we were treated to stunning views that only enhanced the dining experience. Now, let’s talk about the food—it was simply outstanding. To start, we ordered the seafood linguine, which was cooked to perfection. The dish was brimming with fresh mussels, their briny flavor perfectly complementing the pasta, creating a delightful balance. Next, we indulged in the seafood mac and cheese. This dish was rich and creamy, the decadent cheese melding beautifully with the generous portions of seafood. It was truly an epic comfort food dish that left us craving more. Overall, I can’t wait to return to this gem of a restaurant. It has quickly become one of my favorite spots!
