Very tasty and nice and quick. Best fish & chips in Mile Oak. Reasonably priced but just remember it's cash only.

The best and chips and me and my boyfriend have ever been to. So kind, it was my boyfriend’s first time visiting England and they were so friendly with him explaining about British fish and chips and the different options available. John, Steven and Demetri were so kind and we will be back next time we visit! The food was also delicious! Thank you so much

Cash only, but otherwise, exactly what you want for a local chippy! Super yummy. Fresh cooked fish & chips. Good portions. Not too fatty as some can be, and not old oil (never a nice taste when people leave it too long before a change!). I took a photo of the menu as it was when we visited.

Excellent service and great staff, as they were busy they mixed up orders but were really great and apologetic about this and made sure all my order was fresh and gave a free can of drink as a sorry. They're food is amazing and would highly recommend!!!

Amazing food, amazing service. The best fish and chips i have ever had in my life. They were crispy, juicy ,crunchy and tasty and the chips were unbelievably good. If there was more than 6 stars would of given it.

Used to be one of the best fish and chip shops around if its fish batter was soggy pie was cold this is the second time we've been disappointed time to find somewhere else

Went in for some chips with my misses and some cheeky middle age staff member was not frendily and think she is better than everybody else,not happy with this as no respect

Jenny was so lovely - we arrived at 2pm just as closing - and she made us fish and chips to order for my mum who has altzheimers disease and I was worried I wouldn’t get her lunch. Jenny was so kind to cook for us there and then - really appreciated it - thank you. And the best fish and chips always. Thank you so much - staff are always lovely here.

I have always really enjoyed fish and chips from the old village. But was disappointed this evening. The Huss was tuff and part was so hard couldn’t rat it gave to dog who bought it back up in the garden .

I had Been waiting 2.5 years to get out of Australia and get fish and chips here. Great people and awesome food. Crispy batter, solid chips. Well worth the wait.

I visited this fish bar when visiting from Newcastle, they're the best fish and chips I've ever had, staff are absolutely lovely as well. Highly recommend.

My favorite place for Fish and Chips. The service always good and getting better every time.

Ordered 3 medium cod, 2 chips, plain and cheesy fish cakes to feed 3 adults and a hungry tweenager. Big pieces of fish, plenty of chips in 2 portions for 4 of us. Well impressed with the homemade fishcakes they were huge, think the cheesy one was our favourite. Will definitely visit again if we're this way!

By far the best Fish Shop for miles! We use them about once a week and the fish is as good as any we have had in Hastings where the freshest just caught fish is served. You will not be disappointed!!

You can call them up in advance so no waiting around. My partner regular orders fish and chips from the Old Village Fish bar and they never disappoint. The cod is boneless, skin free and very white. The portions are huge! Some of the best fish I have ever had.

Not being a massive fan of fish and chips I was slightly hesitant about giving this place a go. The guy working there was friendly and chatty, the food was cooked fresh, generous portions and great taste. I would definitely go back.

Wouldn't go anywhere else... ok admittedly I live near so it's convenience BUT... the food there is always hot and cooked when asked for not just sitting in the window/oven. The staff are always friendly, it's a busy fish shop but that's means one thing right? It's good!

Nothing major to write home about same old same old really not bad by any means but by no means a horrible meal the problem is living in Brighton there are just so many to choose from you are spoilt for choice !!

Really nicely cooked, was even freshly cooked while we waited as was very busy - we can see why! Could taste that the oil was fresh too. Obviously being deep fried anything will be oily but it wasn't gross and greasy like so many other places are. Also really really friendly in there

Well worth a visit, a great find in the village we just move too. Their fish and chips are the best I have had for many a year. Freshly cooked with very little fatty / oily taste. Good service and the chefs know their business.
