We spent couple of days in Hastings and tried various chip shops. This was by far the best around. The staffs were courteous, the food was great and reasonably priced. We would highly recommend BLUE FISH shop. We'll be back!!!😁

We had cod bites and chips. The fish was cooked to perfection and the chips were delicious, quality for the price is great and would recommend to all. I believe the opening hours are 4pm to 9pm except for Friday when they close at 12pm. Give them a try.

We were visiting the area and wanted fish & chips before going home. The fish was plentiful, cooked to order, really crisp and not greasy and the chips were really fresh. It was certainly the best fish & chips we have possibly ever had. We were so glad we went there!

Friendly staff, but prices are far too high. £3.50 for, medium chips! And they look like a, small portion.

Fish wasn't as good as normal. Weirdly looked like both ends where tail shaped. And batter not full with fish. Very tasty tho and lovely chips.

Top price for miniscule portion! I ordered 8 chicken pieces and only received 7. The large chips were like a small portion and bone dry. The best part was the fish which was nicely cooked and quite a large piece. I won't be ordering again as this was too expensive for what we received.

what a terrible meal. Top prices for dried up chips with black bits in the potatoes. Fish batter very hard, thought it was left over from lunch time. It has put me off ordering online, to say I am dissapointed is an understatement. I don't mind paying top price but this meal was inedible.

Gorgeous chunky Cod Bites with golden light batter and Chips to die for. First time ordering with these guys and its safe to say...I'll definitely be ordering again. Ps..The lemon with the Fish was lovely! Xx

My partner and i had a lovely time staying in St Leonard’s for the Easter weekend. We had the most amazing fish and chip from Blue Fish chip shop in the high street. My partner and i both thought and said it was the best we have had in a long long time. It’s very clean also have wonderful and polite staff who work there or even owns the chip shop. We highly recommend and will most definitely be going back again when we visit St Leonard’s. Keep you the good work 😃

Tried many Hastings area fish and chips outlets over recent years, all of which have been disappointing - until now! Deep Blue matches our tastes perfectly so will be our go to fish and chip shop from now on.

Had Fish & Chips from here for the first time last night as our regular place was closed. Everything was delicious. Beautifully cooked Fish, light, crispy batter and equally good chips. Our regular chippy is just as good... so we'll spread the love and alternate between the two!

Their herb sausages are amazing, with or without batter. Just had their fish and chips and it was really nice, not overly greasy and the portion size is great value for money Love this place!

Very strong showing (in a town where fish and chips are extraordinarily good). Chips were five star, fish was pretty good too. Batter was a tiny bit heavy for me, but it was served with a slice of lemon and a bit of parsley so marks for attention to detail. Would happily come back and give it another go. Good sized kids’ portion too.

We held a function at our tennis club yesterday evening and Blue Fish provided 30 covers of food. The owners were friendly and helpful. All the food was freshly cooked and presented nicely in the boxes. Importantly, it was all very tasty and reasonably priced. Will come back again.

We’ve had takeaway fish and chips here on several occasions. The cod is always fresh and flaky and the batter crisp and delicious. A great location close to the beach. Highly recommended

Best fish and chips we've had in years. Top quality all round, the fish was beautifully battered and cooked to perfection with very little oily residue which is typical in most chip shops. The chips were lovely and crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, new potatoesI think which make better quality chips. As for the mushy peas, they were the best I can remember having, often given little attention and served as slop, these had lots of flavour, a good texture and colour too. We hope to be back soon for more

Oh my days this was the best fish and chips ever! Was so good we had it 3 days in a row. The guys are amazing and so welcoming. Would HIGHLY recommend!

I came to this small town and was treated to the best fish and chips I've had on the south coast. The grilled fish special was SO tasty, the chips were not oily and had 5 different vinegars to try!

Not been to Blue Fish for 2 years,we went there saturday night.the staff greated us like we were never away.

Travelling down from London for a weekend in Hastings we came across this shop.. ohhhh it was very tasty and the staff was friendly which was a plus but back to the food very nice the fish was fresh and the presentation was also amazing..

This was the first time we been here, and it's was really and the battered sausage was nice with a crunchy batter. The cheesy chips were perfect and fluffy with a bit of crunch, chicken nuggets. Which are really nice and crunchy. Good for the price, perfect for a family of 3

The food is fantastic and the staff are really friendly will definitely be coming back again soon 😊

The staff here were extremely friendly and helpful as well as the food being freshly cooked. Even though they were busy they served with a smile and we didn’t have to wait too long even though it was fresh. The only draw back here was that it was cask only and we only had a little on us as usually pay by card everywhere. Enjoy.

Was staying around the corner for a few days and tried Blue Fish on the first evening, when I couldn't be bothered cooking. I lived in the south of England for twenty years and generally, fish and chips there were a big disappointment and nowhere near the quality of what I now get, where I live, in Scarborough. The service was way above average for this type of esrablishment. The staff were extremely polite and friendly and the place was spotlessly clean. The food was cooked to order, but I didn't have a particularly long wait. I had cod and chips and the presentation was excellent, the fish being garnished with lemon and parsley. The fish itself was cooked to perfection but the batter was slightly rubbery, compared to the crispy batter that is de rigueur in the north of England, due, I believe, to the lower cooking temperature of oil, as opposed to dripping. The chips were excellent. The price was very slightly more than I would usually pay at home, but nothing prohibitive. Would happily return to Blue Fish.

I have never had such stale chips in my life. I have made the mistake of going back there after being given stale chips twice before, but had forgotten. This time I asked to taste one, so I was given a nice fresh tasty chip, so ordered a portion. He didn't ask if l wanted them wrapped, always a bad sign, but I didn't imagine I would be given stale chips as I had just tasted a fresh one in the shop. Suffice to say when I returned home & unwrapped them, they were stale. I fed them to the seagulls. I would never go back there or recommend this fish & chip shop to anyone.

This place is excellent! I love fish and chips. The cod and chips were fried freshly . The fish was crispy and chips also had colour (not burnt) not like those yellow chips I see most chippies passing off. My husband had a burger with chips which he enjoyed immensely. Now what I did not see on the reviews is that this place grills fish which you don't often see in chippies. I would have had that if I had seen first.

Grilled cod looked more like hake to me, but fresh and tasty. Chips nothing to write home about. But over 9 £ to pay.... I say!

Fabulous, fresh cooked and crispy batter on the fish. Chips hot and delish. All made to order so bit of a wait but you don't get that perfect taste and texture if it sits in the heater for ages. They also didn't mind that I can't eat vast quantities and happily made me a child's portion (pathetic I know but I hate waste if there's too much)

At first I was a little sceptical as it is hidden away from the other restaurants on the sea front. However when the food came I was blown away. Freshly fried fish, nice and crispy chips and all round great service.

Really fresh food and not too greasy, plus, very generous portions. Friendly staff too. Will definitely come again.

Best fish and chips around. You can tell the batter is fresh by the way it grips the fillet. A lot of chippies cut corners on this - not this place, however.

Great food, great service. Chips weren’t the best but still very decent. But the cod was unbelievable. You could tell it was made by professionals. Very good experience.

Recommended by a friend as being the best Fish n Chips in town, have had food from here twice now and yes he was right, fresh crispy batter and pure white fish inside, lovely big chips and large portions.
