Crabworks in Canterbury

Perfect seafood in a perfect setting right on the harbour. I highly recommend the cod burger and the calamari. We will be back for sure!

We were at the Sweeps Festival in Rochester and I ate a soft shell crab in tempura batter in a brioche bun for the first time it was so amazing I had to have another one! The staff were very friendly and I didn’t have to wait too long for it to be cooked definitely have to pay a visit to Crabworks in Whitstable. Highly recommend it Helen x

Amazing soft shell crab tempura in brioche. If the portion had been slightly smaller, I’d’ve gone straight back for another one. Friendly staff and we hardly had to wait.

Fantastic food and service. I always have Calamari if it's available on the menu and this was the best I've ever had. Fresh and soft and the batter was perfect and light. Will definitely go again if I'm back.

Had been recommended this place couple of months ago and finally managed to try it. Loved every bite “popcorn mussels” were amazing 🤩 the cod father was good too. My wife had a crab meat sandwich, that was lovely and we tried “perdons” also nice We will definitely return 👍

I came across these guys on their pop-up stall at the Hythe Food Festival. Over the course of the weekend I tried food from lots of different outlets but this was by far the best - the soft shell crab brioche was out of this world! It was so good, I ended up going back on the last day of the festival. The guys running the stall were really enthusiastic and friendly, and were clearly passionate about their food. When I go to Whitstable next, I will definitely seek them out!

Best fried cod ever, fresh, crispy batter and carefully prepared. excellent customer service. Brilliant not to have to buy chips but to be served a fresh brioche instead. thanks for making our day!

Love Crabworks, we have been lots of times to Whitstable Harbour and they are always our first port of call for food. We couldn’t believe our luck when we found them today at the Hop Festival. So we couldn’t help ourselves and had the delicious codfather and crab brioche. Fresh, flavoursome and fantastic as always. Can’t recommend enough.

We came across the Crabworks street stand at the Faversham Hop Festival. So pleased that we did. The food was excellent. The service was fast and organised and the staff were pleasant and served us with a smile. Highly recommended!

I frequently visit Whitstable as is near to where I live so I am accustomed to the price of takeouts and restaurants. I decided to try this place as I really fancied a sandwich. I ordered a crab sandwich and was so disappointed. I cannot fault the staff who was polite but I could not believe that any of them were not wearing gloves and proceeded to handle food with their hands, , the sandwich was so disappointing and certainly not worth £10 for two slices of ordinary brown bread handled with bare hand, crab meat mixed with mayo and a few wilted leaves of rocket also handled with bare hands. What a disappointment.

So pleased to find this open on a Monday,we visited 24th June,we always as part of a day out have delicious crab sandwiches from here to enjoy on a nearby bench.The gentleman was friendly,everything very clean and a very good crab sandwich too,as before he offered to bring them across to the bench where we were sitting.The quality of the crab meat was excellent too.We will return here next time we visit.Thankyou Stuart…

Perfect lunch on a trip to whitstable. We had a soft shell crab brioche each and shared a calamari, all of the food was delicious and freshly cooked. Can’t wait to come back!

Stopped here on a round-North-Kent-Coast bike trip, for a spot of lunch. Mrs Sawyer was intent on a crab sandwich. After perusing many of Whitstables food shacks we decided on the Crabworks. Asking about a gluten-free option, we were initially a little bit disappointed that there was no possibility of it at the time. We were, to be fair, quickly offered a crab salad, but the daughter in need didn't fancy that. The guys behind the counter then suggested we visit one of the shacks behind them for excellent gluten-free fish. Very pleased to report that the crab sandwich that the Mrs and I had were fantastic - the bread light, the crab succulent. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

I was visiting Whitstable and walked past Crabworks where I was tempted by everything on the menu. I settled for the Softshell Crab brioche with chili oil, rocket, and aioli. It was absolutely delicious (I ate it on the spot) and I would highly recommend it! I also got the Padron peppers which were very tasty too. I will be going back in the next few days for everything else on the menu! Great spot, check it out when you are there!

The best seafood in whitstable with a wonderfully unique menu. I had to go back after ordering the crab brioche and get a crab sandwich. Delizioso ! Very friendly staff and great little place where you can eat in the harbour as well. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try fantastic seafood and enjoy whitstable. Shame there were no scallops though 🍤

Not only is the food fresh and incredible it is run by such a lovely hospitable owner! Proper street food, executed immaculately. Care in all parts of the product.

The mussels are to die for. So delicious. It was quick and plenty of them, plus the sauce they were served with was beautiful. Easy to eat on the go. Perfect lunch 👍🏻
