nice clean place, the 2 guys behind the counter were friendly and full of laughs, food was outstanding, cod and chips, it was the best i have ever tasted will be back : )

Disappointing. The fish batter was soggy with grease. Staff member observed picking her nose and wiping it on her apron. Milk observed sitting on a counter top, not refrigerated. Perhaps a revisit and reinspection regarding the hygiene rating is due?

Great find while on a day trip to Herne Bay. Friendly, welcoming staff and excellent service. Our Senior citizen meals were great value for money, good portion size and very tasty! We will return.

Fantastic chippy. Visited Hearne Bay for our anniversary and googled best fish and chip shop. And this one didn’t disappoint. Fantastic chips and lovely fish. Sat by the sea front and ate it. Couldn’t ask for anything better!

Have used it a few times but it seems to be getting very expensive , there are many other f&c restaurants in town.

Came here as we were visiting Herne bay for the evening. Read reviews suggesting that Fish inn two was great quality so thought we would try it. Glad we did as it was absolutely fantastic, staff were very accommodating and the food was great! Will definitely come back when visiting

I was here with my partner on Saturday afternoon , we read good reviews about here , and it was well worth finding ! The portions were big , piping hot , and tasty (I had cod and chips and a pea fritter ) and the lady serving was lovely Highly recommended

Went in for take away fish cake, battered sausage and large chips. Fair to say the chips were VERY large. Between two of us couldn’t finish them. Asked for salt and vinegar … felt like the salt shaker fell open onto the chips. Extremely salty. Only thing that let it down. Service was quick and friendly.

Unassuming and average restaurant BUT which served incredible haddock & chips and also cod & chips. Just outstanding - super fresh, ultra crispy non-oily batter, excellent chips, and very nice service indeed. Go here for superb fish & chips as they should be!!

We recently had a big family gathering and wanted fish and chips. As we’d had great food here before we went back to Fish Inn. We dropped the order in earlier in the afternoon and came back to collect it at the time we asked for it to be ready. The staff were all very helpful, our order (17 meals) was ready bang on time, and the fish and chips were delicious - freshly cooked to perfection and very generous portions. Top notch - would come here every time for fish and chips if we lived nearby!

Great food, friendly people. Have eaten in and out and even accommodating two pushchairs with toddlers was done excellently despite it being busy.

We ate in for a change and the food arrived and was lovely. However a child was creating a disturbing amount of noise and seemed out of control, running around moving items of table, banging them on the table. It got to the point that it was ruining our experience so we politely informed the people working there to maybe let the mother know about the unsupervised child. The workers had no sense of good customer service and approached us rudely making it even more uncomfortable to eat there. There was no “sorry about this” but simply “this is what kids do” which, from someone who works in a customer service role, is not the correct approach to take.

I don't live in Herne Bay, but googled 'best fish and chips Herne Bay' and I am not kidding! Absolutely the best I have had in a long time. Some chippies can be a bit hit and miss but this one, was the full chefs kiss! Well done guys. And to anyone reading this; this isn't on the sea front, but just one road back and worth the extra 3 to 4 minute walk.

We love Fish Inn Two and get a Saturday night takeaway most weeks. Definitely the best fish and chips in Herne Bay! Staff always go out of their way to be kind and super friendly. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Sought this out whilst on holiday in the area following good reviews…. It didn’t disappoint. Cod and chips with mushy peas were delicious, really good portions, lovely fish and great batter, plus “chip spice” to sprinkle on which was unusual. Short walk to the lovely seafront to sit and eat them.

Had a take away from this shop plenty of times,fish cooked to perfection every time, chips plentiful. Will never use any other fish n chip shop.

When I visit Herne Bay about twice a year I always visit Fish inn Two for lunch, as being far down the High Street it's generally off the day tripper trail. It is always busy which is also a good indicator of popularity. In my experience food is alwatys of good quality as is the service. I chose the haddock and chips and salad with a cup of tea which was £16.19 (£13.99 + £2.20) . This same meal though was £14.79 just three months ago but unfiortunately I now think that this increase has reached the point of pricing me out of return visits. I think it's a lot of money for what you get.

We ate in and it was spotless ! The food we ordered was served piping hot and very good quality, we were asked if there was anything else we needed ( sauces) very attentive.

Visiting Herne Bay for the weekend and was not disappointed by the lovely, friendly service and great fish, chips, salevoy, and battered sausage I received from this place! Just wanted to leave this review as they had run out of cod on the night of the England euros match, and seemed pretty exhausted, but still managed to deliver a delicious seaside meal (with a delicious piece of rock instead of cod) to me and my partner! We looked on trip advisor to see what was the highest scoring takeaway chip shop. We stopped in for a takeaway. The staff were chatty and there was a good choice. We went and sat by the beach and was very happy with are food. Couldn’t fault it.

This place is a little gem. Away from the seafront of Herne Bay but so worth it. Second time I have eaten here with the kids and the food is delicious. Would highly recommend.

Best ever fish & chips I ever tasted. The Plaice & Haddock was fresh & battered was crispy yet succulent. The chips were pretty tasty with vinegar & tartar sauce. Service was excellent. Highly recommend if you are in Herne Bay or Whitstable. Prices are competitive.

We go here now every time we go to Herne Bay. The fish is fresh and tasty and everything that comes with it equally so. staff are really lovely and kind and I’ve absolutely no complaints. Fully recommend

Absolutely fantastic! It’s been a very, very long time since I’ve had battered Cod and this was wonderful… just the right balance of super fresh fish and crisp hot batter, my wife definitely enjoyed the battered Cods.. good quality with a light coating of batter .Everything was fresh from the fryer and worth every penny

We have been visiting this restaurant for years and have to say it’s great value for money. Big portions and amazing taste. It’s worth the little walk from the seafront. Carly one of the staff members is brilliant and will go over and above to ensure we have everything we need, even when it’s busy she’s still smiling. Great service.

After reading the reviews. Me and my wife had my birthday lunch here and have to say it was worth the drive from Rochester. We both had cod and chips, in the restaurant. Both cooked to perfection and my mushy peas was spot on. Big portions fantastic food, reasonably priced. I will be back.

Lovely and fresh. Amazing fish and chips. Great portion size. Good value for money and super close to the beach front. Well worth taking couple minutes to get from here.

I fancied saveloy and chips on Monday, so I popped into Fish Inn Two. It was so good to see that they had pies, savs, sausages etc in the warmer (it seems to be a new thing that chip shops only have a couple of pieces of fish ready and if you want anything else, they microwave it). I was served by a really friendly woman who gave me a big portion of wonderful freshly cooked chips and did me a deal on an extra sausage! Highest recommendation. Thank you.

We went to Herne bay for a day out today, we were going to go for fish and chips at the sea front.. they had sold out. We did a bit of research and thankfully found this great place. The haddock and chips were absolutely gorgeous, and our son had cod and chips. The best fish and chips I have had in a very long while. I am so happy the other shop on the seafront had sold out. What a little gem we have found. We will definitely be back! Thank you

Ate here today with family, we’re a family of 6 and although the seating area is a little small we were still well accommodated. Cod was excellent, chips nice and fresh (no greasy). Curry role was tasty, kids enjoyed their sausages, burgers, chips and beans. Service was good from friendly staff. 10/10 recommend!

Best dish and chips I’ve had! I ordeeed cod and chips with mushy peas, gerkins and onion rings. Thin crispy batter, no soggy skin on the fish, chips cooked perfectly and it wasn’t oily at all! Was all cooked fresh on order rather than being give one that’s been made and sat there for ages. Friendly service. Seating if you want to sit and eat there. Highly recommend!

Great food and the service just beyond expectations. We came as a family of 4 with a German shepard and the staff accommodated us right away. The beautiful lady even gave our dog a mineral water and cleaned up the mess my toddler and my baby left with a smile on her face. We got talking and the whole lunch was such a lovely experience. I highly recommend this place. I can't remember last time I experienced such lovely customer service.

Had wonderful fish and chips here today. We're not local so asked at the pier where is the best place to have fish and chips and was told hands down Fish two Inn. It did not disappoint. The fish melted into the mouth and tasted light and crispy. The icing on the cake was the service from the staff though. Carly and Will were spot on with their recommendations. Would definitely recommend and will be going back on my next trip to Herne Bay.

We ate in their restaurant and found a hair in our food these mistakes happens wasn’t asking for refund or even new food just made the waiter aware. who has blonde Curley hair the same hair that was in my food she shrugged her shoulders at me and went well it isn’t mine. I was so shocked at her response no apology and just looked down at me. We gave the fish n chip shop the benefit of doubt and couple weeks later we ordered to take away I ordered a large portion chips with sausage and kids chips and burger the kids chips was the same size Portion as the large portion so obviously one is going to question the size . I was then greeted with the owner who was very aggressive and started shouting in front of all his customers and in front of my kids and then said me and my family are not welcome any more. All because I questioned the portion size then brought up about our previous experience to him. The girl behind the counter also had a wart on her finger that wasn’t covered. we found lovely fish n chip shop in Whitstable good price and lovely portions. I do not Recommend the food and poor customer service.

Staff have really gone down hill with their customer service! The portion sizes have got a lot smaller but for a lot more ££. I noticed the young blond girl serving customers their food had warts on her fingers which were not covered up which I find very unhygienic!

Twice I've been here now and very high quality. Takes some beating. Most importantly, all freshly cooked.

One of the best seaside chippies we have ever had. The kids cod and chips is around the same size as the regular adults! Prices are between 13 and 16 for regular/large cod chips and peas. Cooked to perfection, not over greasy. And comfortable to sit in without feeling overcrowded.

Had a lovely takeaway from here which we sat and enjoyed by the front! Food was cooked fresh so hot and tasty ! First time visiting after vowing never to eat at the sunset place again . Definitely be back next time we visit

I’m an aussie travelling and I am very very pleased with this shop! My aunty recommended it to me and the food was amazing, cooked fresh, chips are delicious, fresh and cooked quickly, big portions for price and I was given a free curry sauce pot! It was my first time having curry sauce and it’s definitely a new favourite!
