The Pickled Herring Restaurant in Thanet

We had a fabulous lunch at the Pickled Herring today. The food, the service and the wine was absolutely perfect. We highly recommend this lovely restaurant!

We really enjoyed an anniversary meal here, food, drink and ambience was very good and the service from Kelly was excellent! Our dog was well looked after too which made it great and we will definitely be returning soon 🍸😁

Discovery of an unexpected gem in this beautiful little seaside town. We walked past Saturday lunchtime knocked, met Mary and made a booking for just the 2 of us for Sunday. Mary explained really busy but happy to accommodate us a little later for lunch. Met friends Sunday and they wanted to tag along so 5 of us arrived with Mary's blessing. Can't tell you such a warm welcome nothing too much trouble A rarity to find such a supreme homemade roast choice of all meats, we had beef sirloin pink and so tender. Accompanying roasties and veg just supreme. Such a good time had by all. Thank you team for hosting us at such short notice and looking after us so well. See you all again soon.

Excellent food and service. The roasts are so big it's a struggle to finish them but gutted to leave anything as so good. Pork crackling was divine! Great menu choices with specials also available on a Sunday which gives loads of choice. Excellent service too as they don't stint on staff even when very busy. Advisable to book.

Wonderful Sunday roast. Lots of vegetables to go with our tender roast beef. The staff were friendly. We will can’t wait to return.

Stumbled upon this restaurant whilst on holiday, we had a gorgeous meal in a fabulous setting. Menu was fantastic, I could’ve eaten it all! Would definitely return if in the area again. Really great for all the family.

This restaurant never fails to deliver. Excellent service, beautiful food, a lovely clean restaurant and toilets. Basicly outstanding. And its dog friendly.

Great food and lovely service. Went as a group of 8 and had a lovely evening. Everyone’s food was tasty and considering the quality it was very reasonably priced. Would recommend and will return.

Had a fabulous meal at The Pickled Herring, everything was top class. Was a bit more money than average pub but the food and service were both excellent. My roast beef was about the best I’ve had in any pub or restaurant ever. Fantastic. Look forward to returning!

On my arrival I experienced the most welcoming staff who took care of all my needs. The service provided was top class and extremely professional. My starter was divine with plenty of extras . Staff were so accommodating to all my requests. I opted for the Hake with crispy battered pieces as my main and was delighted with my meal. This was the best piece of fish I d ever tasted and the texture was amazing. Thank you I feel blessed and will definitely book again soon.
