The best restaurants serving Seafood food in Thanet South East

if you are in Minnis Bay , I highly recommend the Bay fish Bar . Its a short walk from the beach, just past the green with the childrens playground. The fish and chips were excellent, the portions were generous . We had a takeaway for 4 adults and there was plenty to share with our 3 yearold . We had Rock and chips, Cod and chips , Cod bites and chips, and a portion of Battered Calamari (10 ) came to just under £40. I had the calamari and shared some of my husbands chips. I really enjoyed both. My daughter had the Cod Bites and chips which she shared with her 3 year old son . they both had plenty . If we are in the area again, I will revisit this fish bar.

Outstanding meal this evening. The food was just delicious. Loved the ethos of the restaurant and its aim to nurture staff.Excellent service and knowledge of the food. It is a must to book.

Very tasty and not at all greasy, I stopped in this fish and chip place while I was at work for a quick lunched very friendly and polite staff and very clean deffo recommend

Stone cold chips don't mind paying 3+ pounds for chips but they got to be hot

Recently celebrated our Nan’s 80th, and this being one of her favourite restaurants we had to enquire, the restaurant is not open on the date of her birthday but the owner/chef was so honoured he opened it up for this occasion, not only did they go above and beyond the food was absolutely sensational, the waitresses were so attentive and polite and we could not have been more grateful for such a lovely evening ❤️

10/10 food ! Battered sausages are superb! Will keep coming back

Telephoned and waited in a queue only to be dumped by your crap phone system. If you want loyal customers then treat them with respect not insults. Very poor service will go elsewhere from now on

Best scampi and chips I have had in a while. The chips were crispy but not greasy. They are served in a card box that means any grease that would be there is soaked up. Scampi was really nice and well cooked. Nicely salted with just enough vinegar. I had a small portion of chips that was more than adequate. There are some parking spaces nearby to pop in and get your chips and plenty of good spots to drive and look out to sea while eating them.

First time at newington fish bar despite living in thanet all my life, went with family . Shop and eating area extremely clean, service was excellent as we ate in. I think summer was staff member but apologise if incorrect. Fish and chips top notch, I work with food as my job as a food safety advisor and nice to see fish battered as it should be. Will I return absolutely yes.

Super friendly service, well cooked food and a good price. Love that the fish was wrapped separately so stays crispy. We were even given some chips and small bits of fish to eat while we waited. Couldn’t fault it and will definitely be back again.

The meal was tip too however the service from one person ruined the whole experience for us. Please be aware that this is a passive experience, great food but indifferent service. I do t want to mention names but she know who she is.
