The best restaurants serving Seafood food in East of England

Shocking, how can food be burnt but cold. It's disgusting too. Could not each kebab. Thrown in Bin. My children tried to eat the wraps but couldn't, now one of them is feeling really ill. Will be sending complait to health officials shortly. They offered me a partial refund. What a Joke. Stay well clear!!!!!!!

Not sure why there are negative reviews. This my local chippy and I can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed. Just finished my cod and chips. The cod was freshly cooked and was superb and the chips were delicious. I highly recommend.

Have had food from here on numerous times with items missing, orders wrong but though just I more go.... Ordered large Kofte and the meat came charred on the outside and raw in the inside, called amd all I got was a we will send replacement meal no apologies... last time for me!!!

Terrible.The last 2 times the chips are almost uneatable.We threw half the portion away because the other half was overcooked and sooo crispy that i was frightened of breaking a tooth.Never again,chris chip shop in Grove road is so much better

Really really small portions of chips, a large is not enough enough for one person, queried it and told that’s how many the owner say to give 😱

I was pleasantly surprised that my cod and chips was very tasty and good value! For context, I was a bit concerned, having read other reviews. My wife and I were on a weekend break and we wanted fish and chips for tea. We found the nearest highly recommended shop was closed, so went to the Tropic instead. The two people in the shop were very friendly. I'd certainly go back there for fish and chips. Can't comment on other food options, having not tried them there.

Always have issues getting Gluten Free stuff - apparently the box below qualifies as large chips! All of 8 inches across and look like they’ve been out since lunchtime! (That box is 8 inches across!)

Went for Lunch with my mum, firstly they seemed put out that I had to ask about allergies. Our waitress was nice. When the food came out I was handed some vegan mayo, and just before I was about to use it I looked at the BBE 11/2023!! 8 months out of date!

I order at least once per week from here for my elderly relative. The order wasn’t delivered and when I called to enquire, firstly the girl hang up on me and then I received a second call from someone who said it wasn’t their problem and denied having any details for the driver. They are only interested in taking your money and not interested in customer service. They have an appalling attitude and I would give this shop a miss at any costs. £29.40 For greasy small portions, my medium cod was small than a goldfish and dripping in oil even my cat walked away from it and large chips was a joke, if it hadn't been raining iwouldof taken it back and demanded money back. Much better chippy 's down other end of town that I'll be using in future.

Honestly fine. Not giving 5 stars because only cash is a pain. But the food is great, chips are firm, fish has been lovely the last few times we've been, enjoyed a sausage last week. What more do you want lol Esepcially enjoyable after a pint at the oak. Loved it

We rang for a delivery of fish and chips and was advised that they didn’t take delivery orders by phone only online via deliveroo or justeat. Part of my order was for a seniors fish and chips which they don’t give you the option of ordering online! We all wanted cod and chips so ordered medium portions. Personally I’d class them as small portions, especially for the price. However they were very very nice and we’d definitely order from here again. Really nice curry sauce too!

We go here regularly, and have done for the last 2 years. I usually have cod, chips, curry sauce, gherkin, and mushy peas, my partner has the kebab, either chicken or lamb shish, and 9 times out of 10 it's been perfect. One time they forgot a gherkin, but they rectified that on our next visit with an extra one, and another time the cod was maybe under the hot lights a little too long, but we know that they are always great otherwise. Generous portions, great taste, friendly staff, and reasonable prices.

Always friendly when you arrive, and the fish and chips are absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend.
