Great tasting food and generous sized portions. Staff friendly and helpful. Shop was spotlessly clean.

Tasty steaks. Good portion sizes. Good selection of dishes. Dessert chocolate and pecan tart was a bit disappointing but fine. Staff were great, fantastic service. Wine very expensive. Though £35 for a bottle of Proseco was a bit over the top, but suppose you expect the price in a hotel.

Today I picked up a meal and ordered fish & chips along with onion rings — and I have to say, this was hands down the best fish & chips I’ve ever had in London or anywhere in England. The fish was perfectly cooked and crispy, the chips were just right, and the onion rings were equally delicious. The sauces were also absolutely fantastic. The staff were very friendly and worked in a clean, hygienic environment. I’ve eaten out or ordered food several times in Hitchin, but nothing has come close to the quality and taste I experienced here. Highly recommended!

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! The service is absolutely disgraceful, I was accused of being dishonest and that their system wouldn't allow orders after 830pm, it does! I was shouted and sworn at by multiple people. Totally unacceptable! I have spent a lot of money here and it isn't the first time that I have lost money! They are vile bullies, but this time, they picked on the wrong person! It is a shame as the food is great, but the service and attitude stinks!

The best fish and chips I've had in ages! This is how good it is. Sublimely delicious large cod (even the regular size is large), with a light and crispy batter, and traditional, tasty hand-cut English chips - amazing! Super service, lovely owners. Have to try - highly recommended!

Been going to this establishment for over 5 years now. Never had an issue with food and customer service. Owner is a lovely chap and is always looking to please. Prices are good and food is always fresh. Would always recommend!

What a shambles ,,,wheres my fish ordered a few items fish chips ect. Get home WHAT NO FISH PHONE UP SAID WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT VERY NICE AYE ANY WAY DROVE ALL THE WAY BACK TO COLLECT SO ENDED UP 3 LOTS OF CHIPS NOT WANTED MIND YOU FISH NICELY COOKED

I called in at Victoria Fish Bar one evening last week when passing through Diss. I only purchased a portion of chips and battered sausage to take away but thought at the time that they were worthy of a review. Quite honestly, as good a portion of chips as I have ever had and excellent value. The battered sausage was of good quality with a lovely crispy coating of batter. Thank you.
