Excellent fish and chip take away, we visit every week. Friendly staff, big portions and reasonably priced. There fish and chips are yummy. Won’t go anywhere else.

Rubbish I will never go there again .... chips was over done and sausage rolls has been in the heater for ever ... I could of broke it in half.

Went and picked up a chippy on the way home from work today for a quick dinner and I am so glad I suggested this chip shop to my husband, growing up this was my local chippy, and honestly the food we had tonight was stunning, we ordered a large and a small chips (one large would've been fine for 2 adults, eyes bigger then our bellies!), 2 saveloys, 1 large and 1 small battered sausage, a medium haddock and 2 curry sauce and everything was absolutely amazing. Got given a free saveloy too as it was 'unsellable' but trust me when I say it was still delicious. If I could give 10 stars I would, so 5 will have to do, but absoloutley 100% will be back again. Best chippy around! Me and my husband were very pleased 🙃 Friendly staff, large carpark round the back also! Deffo give this place a go 😁

Totally no point I go in order fish chips twice scampi chips.pay £16 get home have two portions of chips one scampi and stupid small bit of cod .how can you have people serving u who can’t understand you as-well .how hard is it to run a chip shop .been using this place for years .new people definitely need to find something else to do .

Rude owner after I received what was ment to be 2 large cod and chips included in a large order to see a 3 fish finger instead,as no large fish. was told if you don't like it go somewhere else. Excuse was fish is expensive ,£9 for large fish and chips , what a joke. Last time I use this chip shop with a rude and obnoxious server.

All started well, ordered food for 8 people. Arrived home to find the two large cod had been replaced by what looked like 3 small fish bits in a small tray .I just presumed it was to replace one large fish, so I Drove back to ask for the other piece off fish.To be told by the older server this was in fact the two large cod replaced by 3 smaller pieces. Then told fish was expensive and if I don't like it go somewhere else.No real people skills No customer service ,just leaving an upset customer and hungry family member .Please Please re-train your staff.If your going to substitute your orders tell the customer. When they drive back over a order issue you need to listen and address your customer in a polite and professional manner ,not rude with out compassion.

Really nice chip shop. Good portion sizes for chips and very friendly staff! I can be fussy with chip shops if quality and quantity is low, but I'm very pleased with this place! Would recommend. Solid local chip shop.

My wife and I often get the senior citizens fish and chips on a friday. It is just the right portion size and the food is excellent. Its a nice treat to have at the end of the week.

I have just had Fish and chips from this shop the fish was cheap quality very mushy don’t think it was Cod very dark in colour and tasted horrible, the savaloy was reheated once or twice. Not again

Whenever I go to Colchester, I am sure to use this chippy. Chips are great as is the fish and pies. If you are anywhere near them, use this shop, you won't be disappointed, believe me.

Probably the best chippie in the area ! Cooked to order and always delicious and hot.The staff are always friendly and helpful and a varied menu is provided. Ample parking to the rear of the property

This is a very good fish and chip shop. They are open at lunchtime from 11.30 - 14.00 Tues till Sat and evenings 16.30 - 10.00 Mon till Sat.

Stopped in on way past as didn't want to cook, it was fabulous. Staff were lovely. The best thing was ,it was a Sunday evening. You don't see many open on a Sunday.

Large Cod and Large chips. Stingy amount of chips which needed cooking for another few minutes, ended up stuck together mass. Nice bit of fish but in all dearer than a sit meal in town centre.

What a shower of skinflints. Never had a portion of chips this size anywhere. Even the large Cod was tiny. Take a trip to Caister and there,. Large Cod and large Chips, you get the real deal. TWICE AS MUCH. Wil not use this establishment again. Rip off.

Its about time this place learnt to cook chips properly,. They need to be cooked more. The minute they are wrapped, they all stick together. Horrible. when you open them they look like they have been steamed and that's without having vinegar on them. they have been in the game long enough to know how to cook chips. The rest of the food is cooked to perfection. Had some the other day and threw them in the bin. Take a tip, cook your chips

Best fish and chips in the country. Very helpful and great with customers. Battered sausage and chips are nice and my parents love the fishcakes and my grandfather likes the fish and chips.
