Never understand why all the staff go out the back leaving the bar unattended, surely one person to be at front

Unfortunately the cod tasted of ammonia and I had to bin it. I'm really saddened as had high hopes based on previous reviews, and the batter was good. Chips however were excellent! Will go back to my usual fish and chippy....

Have enjoyed meals here before, but the cod and chips I had were awful! Fish was overcooked, dry and chewy. Chips looked as if they had been hanging about, or recooked - dry, chewy and uninviting. Staff were jolly and efficient.

Should have been gold plated based on the price. Cash only where there are NO readily available cashpoints nearby. Food was substandard to say the least, fish was tasteless. NO GRAVY OPTION AVAILABLE.

Nice looking place and staff but the food iv tried 3x now has been dreadful. Just avoid.

Always have Doner Meat, Chips and Chinese Curry and it's always pretty decent. Recently it has been a little up and down as the chips are sometimes a little undercooked but 95 percent of the time I'd highly recommend. Prefer it to shaws chippy any day

This is the second order I am unhappy about with the first arrived cold and greasy, the second came with empty batter which was badly overcooked. I left most of it.

No es una buena experiencia. Entré en pánico cuando vi el menú - elegimos pescado con patatas fritas como una opción más barata, pero esto era caro! Tuve un plato principal muy mediocre en más de lo que normalmente gastaría en una comida entera. El personal era grosero, despreocupado e incómodo. Las mesas están abarrotadas para maximizar los beneficios: estábamos incómodamente cerca de la mesa de al lado. La comida era promedio en el mejor de los casos. Además, una propina grande se incluye automáticamente en la factura, como si no nos hubieran aclarado lo suficiente ya.

Worst place I’ve been to for a long time. Our ‘toast’ was dry stale bread, with a paltry amount of bacon, and overcooked eggs. They also got the order completely wrong and made us wait for ages.

Didn’t get chance for food as 2 young men in there serving were so rude, didn’t mind waiting but when I was front of queue and stepped inside they barked have you ordered I said no and they told me to wait outside, I left and went to one close by and found several other customers in there complaining that these 2 men were rude to them too, but fortunately the chip in that other shop were amazing

Best chippy in Maidenhead and a great price. Cash only but a cash machine is right outside.

I had a great experience here yesterday. I ordered a haddock and chips and it was absolutely delicious. The service was very friendly while they cooked the fish for me.
