Kingfish in Wiltshire

Online saying it’s open from 12, I went at 15.20 and it was closed…please update your timings because you just lost a customer and probably won’t ever go back there now!

We highly recommend Kingfish, we always go there for a chippy been going here for years, good quality,quantity and really friendly staff

Late delivery, small soggy fish, chips not fresh, definitely reheated and tasteless. Not happy as paid £50 for 3 meals! worst fish and chips ever!

Sorry guys we normally have great fish and chips but tonight was less than average it was like warm soggy and not your best I think we were the last delivery and even the mushy peas had been watered down, we will not order on a Friday again

A lot of fries next to the fish. You can hardly finish it by yourself.

Lovely food and with a restaurant so makes a good spot to stop when travelling. Food was cooked fresh and was delicious and didnt take long to cook. Although I never mind waiting for good food. The portions were impressive and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again soon

First and last time ordering! Worst chips and battered sausage I’ve had. Looked like the sausage had been reheated from the day before.

Ordered the king fish, battered sausage and chips for delivery. Turned up 20mins late, the fish was small and really greasy. So disappointed as usually the food is lovely.

This place is popular and packed!! Very well known spot for fish and chips. The chickpea curry gravy is delicious.

Had a takeaway last night from the kingfish and was absolutely amazing taste portion sizes of food still hot quality taste of the food friendly service from delivery guy highly recommended will definitely be using these guys again thank u to all at kingfish

The food is always great from King Fish, and the portions are really good! I am happy to say that I've never been disappointed with the food or service! I would highly recommend them!

Over priced. Sub par chips. The batter on the sausages was non-existent. The batter on the fish was oily and soggy. The frozen refried chips at most kebab houses are nicer.

We have spent £11 on large fish and chips the food tasted ok but the portion you get is a small to medium at the most. King fish satisfy your customers please.

So I found a pubic hair fried into my chips when I came here. I am also no understanding why it’s a 0 in hygiene

They are the real deal on fish and chips! Cod was delicious and chips were abundant. Onion rings and mushy peas rounded out the main f&c. Thanks for not disappointing and being so nice when we came in close to closing time.

King fish serve the best fish and chips in the area. We have been coming here since it opened, before that, we tried lots of fish and chip shops, in the surrounding area and none of them were great, but Kingfish has been consistently excellent everytime we go. The owners are really friendly and the food is always excellent with good portion sizes. I definitely recommend this place if you want good fish and chips.

Had fish & chips delivered for the first time from here today. Saw some good feedback from loyal customers. These were the best fish and chips we've had from anywhere since moving to the area over three years ago. Great value and the best sized portions. Highly recommended and ne we'll be a regular customer of those orders keep arriving like they did the first

Well over priced, Ordered the burger meal at £8.60 only to not recieve the burger I had to ask about my drink, so would have have been 9 pound just on chips, so check your order. Efore leaving Children's meals are 5 pound for 4 nuggets and a very small portion of chips no drink included. I live in Devizes so only noticed when I got home both curry sauces had spilt every where I'm not impressed at all.

Excellent food and service. Only downside is paying for sauce. Bring your own!

Finally found a decent chippy! First time trying tonight as they’ve started delivery, food is fresh and piping hot on delivery, large portions too, perfect food!

I go every month with a big order (10) for all my OAPS not had any complaints all very happy. Good size portion,Very friendly guys have a good laugh. 100% fantastic.

Often visit kingfish for tasty fish and chips. The curry sauce they do is the best in the area and portions are always big. Highly recommend.

Always use Kingfish, they are so helpful, especially regarding allergies and ingredients (which we need for my son). They are always happy to help and we are always greeted with a smile. Definetly helps that the fish is fresh and batter crispy!

I always get fish and chips from here when visiting relatives in the area. They are consistently excellent, flakey cod and crispy batter. Staff are friendly, efficient and every thing is cooked fresh.

2 x OAP cod and chips plus large cod & chips, £25.40p!!!! Very overpriced, will certainly not yse them again. OAPS used to pay £4.75. How are pensioner's supposed to afford this on a state pension?

2 med cod and chips used to be 15 pounds, then 17, and last week 21 pounds, will not be going back at that price

They have the batter just right the chips are piping hot the fish is piping hot batter tastes amazing they use Palm oil, its not cheap but the taste is amazing and its well worth the money. Go large and expect to return for more the next day. Its amazing, best in the area. Freshest ever with Palm oil awesome sorry bit im so chuffed I found it. Old School proper fish and chips with REAL Chips straight from potatoes. Awsome!

Ordered battered sausage and small chips can it came to £4.50 , the sausage had vertical no batter on it and the chips tasted like they had been around a very long time . Avoid the place

2 medium Cod & 1 medium chips £17.50 sorry as nice as it is don't think I will be going there again for my take away

I have used Kingfish on average 3 times a month since they opened in Durrington, always receiving quality food and good portion size. However on my last two visits things seem to have changed dramatically. The quality is still there, but portion size has halved.

Great fresh tasting fish and home made chips piping hot the best in the area me thinks and only 1 mile from the Amesbury exit on the A303. They open most of the day and till late at night and there's seating when the virus things done. It's nice food. it's hot its clean is good for the money and they are very competitive. Fish and Chips INLAND is as good as it gets here.

Only ordered chips, my son wanted saveloy but didn't have any.The chips were lovely and still very hot when I arrived home. I will admit, I think the chips are quite pricey at £2.30 or £2.80 but my son said they were worth it hence marking of Very Good.

I drive past several fish and chip shops to get to kingfish, I wholeheartedly recommend them for consistently delicious food - the best chippy in the area.

Not a bad chippy for the area. Ordered chips and curry sauce. Fast turnaround and friendly staff. I find it odd that it’s a cash only establishment in 2020, there is no real reason not to have a card machine

Got to be one of the best fish and chip shops in the south. Always get good value for your money. Very good portions never been let down yet first stop for takeaway most Saturdays

Apart from fish and chips we tasted in Iona, Western Isles, Scotland, this is surely the best tasting fish and chips we’ve tasted in the UK. Excellent fresh tasting fish and the chips were delicious with a home made taste.

The chips were old and so greasy and the fish was dry with thick greasy batter. Not good at all. And they have got rid of military discount which they have alwY done! Such a shame it has gone downhill

For a local fish & chip shop, their light bites are very good value and tasty. Other meals we have had benefited from being hot and FRESH

Mi otra mitad trabaja en Durrington, así que a veces cuando hemos tenido un día largo y son demasiado cansado para cocinar ella recoge algunos peces N Chips desde aquí. El tamaño de las porciones son enormes y las patatas fritas son fantásticas. Tamaño de pescado y guisantes muy sabroso blanda. Probablemente el mejor pescado y patatas fritas alrededor. Gran relación calidad-precio! El personal es muy eficiente!

En un intento de perder unos kilos antes de las vacaciones, me he cortar patatas y procesados de comida para mi dieta. Sin embargo, después de salir de Tesco (al lado) me atraía a martines pescadores por el olor encantador desde dentro. A los 20 minutos, mi dieta estaba roto como yo metido en el mejor pescado y patatas fritas que he tenido en un rato.

Esta "fish and chips" realmente tiene buen Dios y patatas fritas, con patatas frescas cortadas y un rebozado decente. Tamaño de las porciones es bueno pero chips grandes es un enorme pila demasiado para una familia de cuatro, podrían reducir tamaño de la porción y re precio. Servicio rápido y eficaz.

Vivo en la zona y lo recomendaría encarecidamente el Fish & chips". Siempre me orden solla europea que es preparado a pedido y siempre de alta calidad. El bacalao es el favorito de mi marido y nunca se decepcionarán. También te dan descuentos y personal militar, son muy amables. El aparcamiento es fácil y justo a la salida.

i want into this restaurant today 02/12/2014 at lunch time it was busy but at the same time the service was flowing, anyhow my anger was my work collage got served and had her ordered taken while I was totally ignored by the staff after I had a look at the menu I waited for at least 15 minutes to be served and still no nothing was happening, then another female customer came into the restaurant was served in front of me straight away and I asked the staff an I not going to be served the staff looked at me as if I wasn't there. I will never be going back there again and I advise anyone to stay away from the place.

Decided to give this place a try and what a good choice it was. The staff were very polite and respectful (on my way out, because I had a walking stick, the gentleman behind the counter rushed round and opened the door for me. He also repeatedly referred to me as 'sir' - very rare these days). I had haddock and my wife had cod - both cooked to perfection with thin very light crispy batter and very tasty. The fish was also cooked to order. I ordered a large portion of chips and wished I'd ordered a small one - the amount I got would have fed 4 people. It was also very reasonably priced. I did notice that there were 3 tables inside, so you could eat in. Would certainly go back without any hesitation.
