Absolutely shocking portion size i’ve been many times before and it’s been great went today and the portion size is absolutely ridiculous ordered a large chips and got a child’s handful

Would you have given these 0 stars if possible, first time I went there the fish were undercooked and asked if he could fry them a bit more bit he refused, second time I went there online it advertised they were open I went in and asked if I could get a portion of chips but the first thing the man did was to command me to the front door and demanded I looked at the front door. This was a bad experience as I was only 12 at the time

We were camping in little owls farm and Googled for a Chip shop. This one came up. What an absolutely wonderful meal everything was superb thanks to the owners

Chips dried up and were not very warm they had obviously been sat there a long time .

Best fish in Devizes by far Been visiting here for a while now and never had a bad meal and the owners are always so friendly.

Don't know what's happened to this place but the standards have fallen sadly.

Kebab meat very tasty, however portion size wasn't great for what was paid.

The chips are good but the fish is perfect! Freshly cooked to perfection - couldn't be better!

First time it was lovely and really enjoyed. Second visit food was very greasy and chips undercooked. Disappointed. Will try a third attempt then decide from there whether they are good or bad.

Following on from my Lees review I ended up going out to order what lees refused to deliver, this shop is regularly busy but it was my first experience. After waiting for staff to deal with orders for waiting customers I ordered 1 Large chips and 2 Haddock, the shop began to get busy and they were in the process of cooking fresh chips and fish, after about a 10 minute wait I was presented with my order the staff were very friendly and apologised for the wait, I didn't think 10 minutes was unreasonable. once home I unpacked the food and noticed that the chips were quite pale in colour I did the taste test and yes they were cooked but you know when they could have been left in a little longer to get that nice tan colour and some crispy bits, I can only put this down to the shop getting busy and the staff trying to get orders out. Now to the fish and WOW! 1 piece would could have been shared between my wife and me, it was a meaty piece of fillet that filled the plate and I could only eat half (lucky dogs). So had the chips been cooked that little bit longer I would have given 4 but all in all would return.

First time visiting on a recommendation. I ordered a kebab with Salad plus a portion of chips. When I got home and unwrapped , was very disappointed. The kebab meat instead of thinly sliced was in big chunks, and quite spicy. Had my fair share of Kebabs over the years but could not eat it. On the plus side the chips were good. Will not be ordering the Kebabs again. But looking at reviews will give the fish a go if I do venture back.

Great family atmosphere and good food. Always well cooked and when I asked them years ago about Vegi-Burgers they didnt have them but got them in. Now they tell me these vegi-burgers are very popular so I always go back there as so few of the Devizes chip shops care about Vegitarians. Thank you for caring about us. Theres a reason they won lots of chip shop awards.

Came here for lunch on 16-10-2020. Prices looked fair when browsing items, I had a portion of regular chips for £1.70 but for the amount that was there I didn't seem like it was £1.70 worth felt there could of been more chips for the price... Will definitely return in the near future for sure

I visit here frequently went visiting family.. always good food.. one thing I would say is take your own bag.. their plastic bags make the batter sweat on the journey home and so you can end up with soggy batter. Which was a shame but now I know.. it's crispy batter in the bag and in the tum 👍☺

Great fish, great staff, lovely grub.

We ordered two large cod and chips today and when we got it in the car we noticed how much it smelt - the ‘fishy’ smell was so overpowering. When we served it up we started eating it but had to stop for the taste of ammonia, and the smell of it too. Looking around it seems this is a sign of decomposition, and given this was the next day following a long bank holiday weekend it was probably old fish. We won’t be able to go back there again now; hopefully we won’t get ill 😑 On the plus side the chips were good 🙄

My favourite chip shop in my home town of devizes. Lovely food, and friendly owners. So tempting to go there every day.

Really friendly staff, lots of banter. The food was served quickly, but was a little greasy. Tasted lovely mind you. Very reasonable prices. Will come again.

Fish fried to order and is very good,Chips can be a bit pale sometimes, possible due to people waiting and in a rush or the type of potatoes.

We go here 3 or 4 times a year and the food is usually excellent. This time the batter tasted like it was undercooked and the same with the fish. The portion of chips was about half the size compared to before too. I really hope this was a one-off.

The fish and chips are awesome. Lovely crisp batter and beautifully succulent fish. You don't have to live near the sea to enjoy.

We've been here loads of times and are never disappointed. The fish is always a good size and we only ever order 1 portion of chips as this is plenty for the 2 of us.

Phoned order thru as it was getting near closing time. It was ready and waiting in the time they said it would be ready

Popped in 20 mins before closing to be met with sighing and huffing when ordering food. No pleasantries and no customer service. Thankfully the food saved them two stars.

In all the years of getting the odd portion of fish and chips or kebab meat and chips. I have never had a bad portion. The staff and owners are friendly and the shop is immaculately clean. The fish are freshly cooked to order and the chips are the best in the county.

We have used this chippy on many occasions. Have always had good friendly service with hugh portions at reasonable price. The food is always freshly cooked so may have to wait a short time. We have never been disappointed.

I often use the Eastleigh Fish Bar. A good family run business that provides traditional fish and chips to a consistent standard. I wouldn't say it is the best in town..... But it's pretty close to it.

If it sold Cod Roe I'd never go anywhere else. The staff/owners are lovely. The cod is ENORMOUS. Could easily feed 3 people from one portion. Very clean and tidy shop. Chips are awesome. Everything is cooked fresh to order and always worth the wait.

Stopped here on way back home and everything is cooked fresh . Will visit again and very well priced . A small chips is more like a large portion 👌

I have been here many times and have tried a lot of stuff of the menu. Mostly fish and chips and the kebabs. The fish batter is good and chips are excellent. Lovely kebabs. Loads of choice for all including kids with the menu boxes.

Nice chippy, speedy service, like the batter bits in the chips now very Northern thing. fair prices the fish is generous portions although the batter is sometimes too thick for me. Nice staff, parking but tucked away on edge of town just off Nurstead Road.

This has been or local chippie for years. The food is excellent, they win regular awards, and have the highest number, 5,from the council food team. Friendly, part of the community.

Have bought fish and chips here a few times and never been disappointed. I like the way the fish is freshly cooked and placed in polystyrene containers which means it doesn't melt in with the chips as in other shops. The staff were very pleasant also.Recommended to try.

If you want fish and chips, this place will do the job. It's not my first choice chippy in Devizes but it's fine enough.Clean and tidy and the prices are in line with what you'd expect.
