Vibey place to eat & drink along the Harbour! Staff were friendly also! A relaxing place to relax and work.

Ordered a toastie and a breakfast. First of all portions were small even considering the price. The toastie was mature cheddar, pickled shallots and Dijon mustard. The mustard was poor quality and barely present. Very little cheese inside and not even melted. The pickled shallots looked sad and didn't taste anything. I asked for salad as a side, straight out a bag, not washed and zero seasoning, not even some oil. The breakfast order was on the same level, small and lacking taste. I asked for mayonnaise and was brought something that resembled more to some kind of cream. Tasted like nothing at all. When ordering we asked for the extra pot of BBQ sauce. £1,50 for what came out of a cheap bottle. All together was £32 for those 2 plates and a beer. Really felt disappointed. When clearing the table the waiter (all were friendly) didn't ask how the food was so didn't have a chance to comment.

Mixed review here because I like the place and the ales are really good but the food is overpriced for what it is. We ordered brunch breakfasts and they were really lacklustre, small portions, frozen hash browns, tinned beans and just disappointing. At £30 for two people I expected a lot better.

Fuimos aquí para el brunch entre Navidad y Año Nuevo. Bonito lugar junto al río, me gustó la decoración y el ambiente del lugar. Tenía un brunch vegano completo y mi marido el brunch Bristol completo. Estábamos un poco decepcionados con el tamaño de la porción, esperando que fuera un poco más grande. En el menú dice frijoles horneados caseros, para nosotros se veían y sabían como una caja de marca estándar. Aunque la mayor parte era sabroso, esperábamos más por el precio.

Un grupo de 9 de nosotros fuimos al puerto número 1 para nuestra comida de Navidad de este año. Tuvimos el festín de compartir. La comida era genial, las porciones eran generosas, el servicio era súper amable y eficiente y el ambiente era relajado y encantador. Todos nos lo pasamos muy bien y nos fuimos llenos y felices. ¡Gracias!

Aparecimos en un grupo más grande de lo esperado inicialmente sin previo aviso, así que sabía que podría no ser posible para nosotros conseguir una mesa, pero el personal nos hizo sentir tan bienvenidos y no actuó como si fuera una molestia en absoluto como algunos lugares podrían haber. Uno del equipo, un hombre de cabello castaño y ojos (perdón por no saber su nombre) , incluso llevaba en mesas desde afuera para que pudiéramos sentarnos todos juntos en el calor. Muy acogedor y era encantador y atento. Sin duda volveremos. Gran selección de bebidas disponibles también.

Vinimos a almorzar. El menú se limita a la hora del almuerzo al brunch y tostadas (ni siquiera sus hamburguesas que solo se pueden pedir después de las 4 pm), pero todos en nuestro grupo encontraron algo que querían, y esperábamos que el menú limitado significaría lo que ofrecieron que harían bien. A pesar del menú limitado, hubo una espera muy larga para que llegara nuestra comida, y no nos advirtieron de esto al ordenar. Cuando llegó la comida, fue decepcionante. Las porciones eran pequeñas por el precio, y mi tostada de queso cheddar ("El Desfiladero") debía tener la menor cantidad posible de queso; sabía abrumadoramente a mostaza. Y el pan estaba parcialmente quemado. Con unas patatas fritas, mi parte - tostadas de mostaza quemada era un diezavo. Arranca.

We came for lunch. The menu is limited at lunchtimes to brunch and toasties (not even their burgers which can only be ordered after 4pm) but everyone in our group found something they wanted, and we expected the limited menu would mean what they offered they would do well. Despite the limited menu, there was a very long wait for our food to arrive, and we weren't warned of this when ordering. When the food did arrive, it was disappointing. Portions were small for the price, and my cheddar cheese toastie ("The Gorge") must have had the smallest quantity of cheese possible; it tasted overwhelmingly of mustard. And the bread was partly burnt. With some chips, my part-burnt mustard toastie was a tenner. Rip off.

£15.75 for this brunch!!!! Crazy I am happy to pay for a special breakfast but l can get this and better at the wetherspoons

We only stopped for a drink but the staff were very helpful and kind. Bit pricey for the cocktails but I suppose it is in a prime location.

Won't be returning. Had the vegan breakfast which was bland. Ridiculously small portion, especially for the price. Toilets need a thorough clean. Uncomfortable seating. We just had a few beers on the terrace overlooking the canal. Very spacious interior premises. Variety of draft beers. The attention was good.

Fabulous lunch. Best toastie ever - pulled pork gherkins cheese and mustard! Also amazing waffles with apples, ice cream etc. great service and great venue. Go guys!!

Poor service. 4 people behind the bar 3 were doing nothing. Long queue only to be told they were only doing one section of the menu which was on all the tables. We walked out and they didn’t care.

Lovely staff, the worst full English I’ve ever had.

Went with a group of friends on a Friday night. The bar staff were great. But the bouncer came and asked us to be quiet. We were not drunk or raucous at all. It felt very strange to be singled out like that, so we moved on. Edit! Management contacted me and explained that the security is through a 3rd party and they've passed on my feedback. The bar staff themselves are awesome.

I should have kept walking. I arrived shortly after it opened and wanted to kill time before harbour festival started so opted for a brunch here. I watched tables that arrived after me get their food and drink first, it took 25min for my coffee to come out, and only after I prompted the lady who brought my food (but no cutlery). The £4.85 coffee was OK, and the view across the water was lovely, but the "Many Benny" Eggs Benedict was the worst Benedict I've ever had. The sausage was so dry that it felt like it had been either been reheated or sat under a heat lamp, the muffins texture felt stale and the hollandaise sauce tasted more like congealed melted butter. Finished with some onion seeds for decor but totally lacked in taste. Definitely not worth the £14 price tag. It's like this place tried to follow the Lounge cafe model in their design, but with a new Lounge opening just 100m further along the harbour I think they'll struggle to compete with their lower prices and consistent quality (I had a look at their menu on my way back and they're £4 cheaper). Up your standards to meet your prices or lose customers.

Hen do party for the morning after Amazing service Phenomenal food. Sadly didn't catch staff names. But they were phenomenal Prepared for large groups, paying seperately and ordering at the bar.

The most amazing and kind staff. Offered us chips as an apology for the long wait. After 50 minutes of waiting for the food, it was cold and disappointing. Would not recommend.

Love this place! Visited on multiple occasions for drinks and food and am never disappointed. They also host live music events which are always great!

We called in for a bite to eat at lunchtime and were so pleased that we did. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious! We all had toasties and were pleased to have a choice of chips or salad (many other places are chips with everything). I had a roasted vegetable toastie which was very tasty. My companions both chose the classic ham & cheese and these also went down well. Tasty toasties! The thing I also loved was the commitment to using local, seasonal produce, which not only tastes good but is so much better for the environment. We’ll definitely be back.

No. 1 Harbourside has a relaxed, casual atmosphere, with a variety of seating options inside and outdoors and a friendly and helpful staff. It is a great option for meeting your mates or taking in the heart of Bristol. The Truffle and Mushroom Beef Burger was a mouthful, and equally delicious.

Waited half an hour before asking the bar for an update on the full Bristol breakfast, told 5-10 minutes. Waiting another 15 minutes, asked Aaron the manager and was abruptly told “we’re busy” with no apology.

Popped in for some brunch one Saturday. Had the full Bristol. Portion sizes are great and the food was equally as great. Staff were very accommodating with my egg allergy and made sure my food didn't come in contact with eggs or had any on the plate. Really great location and atmosphere. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back.

Great location and bar but you need to work on three things... Firstly, if there are three staff members behind the bar, stop your conversation (even if it's about work) and serve the customer! Secondly, if you're going to charge nearly £20 for a burger - don't serve a child's portion. Small bun and chips is fine, if there's a side of salad or coleslaw. Thirdly, clean the gents toilets - they stink!

I found a dead fly in my burger, luckily before I started eating. I took it back and the staff did not even apologise, they did give me another one but didn't offer me anything or seem to care about this. I used to come here for food, drinks and the atmosphere as well as to support a local business but needless to say I'll never come here again.

Popped in for a pre gig drink, place looking a bit tired these days but still a nice relaxing place. Good selection of beers from local breweries. Can't comment on food as we didn't eat there. What we saw coming out was mainly burgers.

Bar by the harbour, good range of drinks

Food quality has gone downhill in recent years. Used to have really good Buddah bowls and salad, now it's mostly burgers. Last visit the good service was rather slow (30+ mins for food)

Just had beers outside but the staff were V friendly, helpful & gave us tastes of various beers.

I drink here often enough but this was my first time getting food, because I had a voucher from the quiz. The burger was really good but the chips were awful, stale and cold. The food also took a long time to come and when it finally arrived (after my asking) no apology was made. Service and chips both need improving especially at £18 for a burger.

After a long wait, this was somewhat underwhelming, especially considering it is only £1 cheaper than the meaty breakfast. I’m glad I didn’t spend an extra £1.50 on an additional slice of toast or egg…!

£8.80 for a warm glass of box wine.....nah man, stinking behaviour. Plus the women's toilets were a travesty.

Just bad quality food really. Croque Monsieur with a tiny sliver of ham in it overpowered by way too much mustard, and poor quality 'beschamel', which was just half melted cheese. The toasties were not fully toasted. My friend ordered "the Goat "toastie which was, unfortunately whilst sounding nice on the menu, pretty vile. The spinach in it had been overcooked to death and was stringy and texturally gross. I was going to take it home as thought my friend was being fussy but after trying it, I really didn't want any more. We unfortunately didn't receive any check on our food at all. I went to the bar and mentioned that my friend didn't like it, had barely touched it, but unfortunately nothing was offered. So I ended up spending another 12.50 buying an eggs royale for my friend so they could eat. The eggs royale was spot on. All in all, felt something could have been done or offered, the food should should have been much, much better for the prices they charge. Maybe I should have kicked up more of a fuss but in the end I just wanted to leave and unfortunately, in more ways than one, left with a bad taste in my mouth.

Very busy on lights festival night. Our food came out in reasonable time .sadly Our cheese burgers were very bland and dry /overcooked .. The fries were awful ; frozen and not freshly cooked and obviously had been kept warm for ages. They were like damp cardboard. If you are so busy why are you not serving freshly cooked chips? No excuse. Toilets dirty shabby and horrible. When we told the waitress our chips were like cardboard , she just mumbled sorry and cleared the table. All image and no substance . Relying on its location . Avoid

I always recommend this place to people whenever they’re looking for something in Bristol for food or drinks. However, this time i was very disappointed. I ordered a veggie burger and a water at the bar where someone gave me can of water. Took it back to the table and there was black dirt all over the can so i took it back to swap it for a cleaner one. The same person who served me before said all of the cans are like that and i can swap for something else. I say it doesn’t matter and they clean the top of the can with a dirty looking cloth. As im pouring the drink into my glass im trying to avoid pouring in the black dirt so off to a good start. Next, i start to eat my veggie burger what i think tastes like meat. My friends tastes it and says she thinks it’s definitely meat. A guy comes over and asks if everything was okay and we explain what happened and he goes back to the kitchen. A few minutes later he says there was something of a mix up and apologised. Sometimes these things happen but giving a vegetarian BEEF is a big no no. And dirty cans of water. He offers us a brownie which we decline and offers us 2 free drinks instead. Staff dealt with it but didn’t really seem to be that bothered. Unfortunately won’t be returning or recommending again

I think it’s outrageous that a restaurant would have such little confidence in their food standards that they don’t know if a basic breakfast has nuts or shellfish in it. Kitchen couldn’t be bothered to think about it and server didn’t care

Super chilled atmosphere in the harbour side! Perfect for a pit stop, went for the burger and chips and I was not disappointed. The burger was outrageously good! The chef is truly doing the lord's work, give that man a raise. Front of house staff were friendly and accommodating and I felt right at home the entire time.

Excellent vegan burger, fries are some of the best I ve ever had. Both and a drink for 15 pound is also quite the deal.

First time for me and my girlfriends, Popped in on the off chance. A nice warm welcome... I'm very fussy with food. However these guys accommodate me very well and executed my requirements amazingly. Great customer service. On a slightly negative tone, the toilets.... bit smelly, this really needs to be addressed. Keep up the good work guys, you're good friendly bunch!! Would definitely recommend and will definitely pop in again when next in the area.

Great little bar/cafe at the waters' edge near the centre of the city. Good choice of craft ales, bottled beers & ciders, decent range of food & pleasant combination of staff & punters. Nice little bolt-hole in the winter, great waterside bar in warmer months.

Best chicken burger in Bristol, no lies. Never heard of a Korean chicken burger but omg it was amazing. Just perfect, can’t vouch for the place enough. Friendly staff, and warm atmosphere. 100% coming back

I went after lunch, so the place was very quiet. The burger was good, as was the hot chocolate. Excellent service. I sat outside and watched the canal and people passing by, jugglers and buskers rehearsing for the evening crowd. Nice place.

Love it! Don’t serve cocktails after 10 - so you can get served so much faster, all the bars in Bristol take forever to get served because of cocktails

Nice to have a chill day having a few beers

Some friends and I came here for lunch along with their 2-year-old little girl. We'd reserved a table (via email or phone, can't book via website or OpenTable) and the service was friendly and attentive, the food was fab and the atmosphere was lovely! Little 'un was well catered for, there's a good kids menu but we ordered something off-menu that was smaller, which the staff were more than happy to do for her. Restaurant provided crayons and some colouring-in options for her, so she was kept entertained. Would recommend to anyone who's not sure where to take a toddler in central Bristol!

Had a excellent breakfast here ,staff are friendly, the food isn't instant ,and it isn't a long wait,just long enough to know you've had a fresh prepared meal. Excellent views of the harbour if the weather is nice enough to sit outside. My only slight negative which made me not give 5 stars was the cappuccino. I feel the coffee has decent flavour, but I prefer a more dense frothy cappuccino. Will return again as a thoroughly great location with great food.

Great location along the water. Grab a table and order at the bar. Good to see they're a living wage company. Very nice social atmosphere. Food was great. Had a goats cheese toastie. Slightly let down by a couple rude homeless who also frequent the area as we didn't have any change for them.

Right in the middle of the harbourside area so it gets mobbed with hen parties and tourists but there are some good drinks to be had here and it's less trendy and crowded than some of the dreadful places around it. Worth a visit if you are around the harbourside area of the city

Ordered ‘The Bristol’ toastie which is sausage, bacon, cheese and onion. Undercooked sausage, the fattiest bacon which had the smallest amount of actual meat to it and due to the cheese being grated it was just unevenly spread on the toastie and somehow not even melted? For £12 I was expecting something a lot better than I received. Very disappointed.

Bern here before loads of times and food and service has been good. This time chips were frozen out of a bag even though charged £4 for hand cut chips. One star is for the assumed manager telling us with a smirk that there was a person cutting the chips by hand as we spoke (on a busy Friday night I don't think so). Not good to be fobbed off mate.
