Love it here, been popping in regularly since I moved to the area, always so friendly, and the foods always been great! Keep doing what you’re doing

Shocking management keep running out of cider and beer laughable what a joke I won't be going there again and te5my friends not to go there

To busy waited ages to be served.

I had to go home and wash all my clothes and have a shower . IT WAS LIKE GOING IN TO A FISH AND CHIP SHOP. THE WHOLE PUB SMELLS.

Me and my partner came here for first time and the food was good and there was lots on menu to choose from good for value for money also they have kids menu too good for watching sports including football matches because they have big screens I would highly recommend and definitely come back again

The food is good for the price, service is pretty good aswell. The other people can be a bit noisy as expected in a pub. The seats are comfortable but some are a bit far from the tables. Better than the wetherspoons.

A lunch time well spent. Pleasent place music good not to loud. Food amazing for the price . Bartender helpful and pleasant.

Clean, bright and beautiful decorative Pub/ gastro. First time of being in inside the place and glad I made the decision to grab some lunch. Although it was fairly quiet, I looked around for a good table and sat opposite the bar. I knew what I wanted from seeing the menu outside and order the sausage and mash with a drink. The gentleman from the bar gave brilliant customer service and a nice patter. My food came quickly and was offered a spoon and any additional condiments. The food was hot and delicious. Great customer service was given to every customer and not pushy . Definitely worth the visit

Had lovely meal there. Plenty of choice, prompt service and reasonably priced. Have been there several times and never disappoints.

Food 2/5 Iceland food. The peas and rice were defrosted and microwaved. The chicken had equal amounts of chicken and batter. Not enough gravy. Tasted bland. Service 5/5 Got a pint. Pint was good. Atmosphere 2/5 The carpets were sticky, the table had sticky residue from a drying up liquid and the sofas look like they've never been washed. Actually the only liquid the sofas had seen isn't washing liquid, it's beer and cider. Cutlery and serviettes were left in a mini bucket on the table for all of the dust and what not to get on it. Not hygienic... Weatherspoons have higher cleanliness standards.

Favourite place on fishponds Road. The bar staff are amazing. Great prices. Lovely little outside seating area and most importantly DOG FRIENDLY

Monday's are not the best day to visit, a lot of the drink offers weren't in stock... My bacon cheeseburger was nice but would have been better with smoked bacon... My housemates fish was perfectly cooked and delicious!

Absolutely horrendous experience on a Tuesday evening. Endured an excruciating 4 minutes of waiting for any sign of service at the bar, only to find the staff mysteriously absent. To add insult to injury, several delightful beers and lagers were disappointingly out of stock, and the pint of lager I managed to order was distressingly lukewarm and devoid of any fizz. The sheer lack of quality for the price paid was utterly disheartening, leading me to abandon ship and seek refuge in another establishment with comparable prices but exponentially superior service. As a local resident, I can confidently say that this pub would not even make the list of my top choices.

Try to call their restaurant to ask for some enquiry. Well, got hang up straight away without even speaking! I can heard the sound okay? - 'Took the phone up and put it back down - BEEP!!!' Thanks!

One of the best pubs along fishponds road always good atmosphere, great staff and impeccable service. Great for uni students too with lots of great student discounts. The bartender kieren always knows our order straight away and all the other staff are massively friendly and helpful too.

The old post office is a great little pub if you’re looking for lovely food, cheap drinks (£2.50 Moretti on the student discount) and good vibes. The service is very cheerful and friendly, especially from the bartender Kieran who is very very helpful. Big up The Old Post.

Poor. If I could give no stars I would. The security staff and Area Manager are disrespectful, rude bullies. We will never ever spend another penny in here. There are much nicer places to go in Fishponds where you will be made really welcome. Don’t bother going to The Old Post Office honestly.

I was served by a gentleman called Keiran. Very professional and well mannered. Good drink selection and even 2-4-1 cocktails for only £10. Food was great, we had a cheese burger and a fish shop platter and both were amazing. Will definitely be returning 👍

Love this place. Staff are always friendly. They spoil any dogs that go in (love dog lovers!!). Staff go above and beyond, are bubbly and friendly. Made to feel welcome always.

great place, good food, clean place, but the service leaves something to be desired, I placed my order the attendant did not confirm the order, one of the main requests was not taken, the frustration of waiting hungry for an order that was not due to the arrogance of the employees is disappointing a little more commitment and goodwill in serving customers would come in handy.

A great local-friendly pub with a signature aesthetic on Fishponds Road. The Old Post Office is a really nice place to go for food and drink. I came here for lunch and it was quiet, had plenty of entertainment like TBs playing sport, a pool table, and even darts. The food and drink was all really nice and well cooked. The price was also great and is a much better option when compared to Wetherspoons. The staff here were very friendly and helpful and kept the place looking tidy and organised. I recommend this place for a quiet bite to eat and perhaps to grab a pint among friends. I will definitely be coming here again.

We had a good meal here. It came out wrong initially, but the manager dealt with this very well and we were looked after.

Don't bother staff had no idea what they were doing. Ordered a wrap with drink should be £9.49 charged £13.. wrap should have been southern fried with bbq sauce what I got was 3 pieces of chewy chicken in a sub with a lot of lettuce

The manager was great, but 1 or 2 of the staff who have served me are very moody/passive aggressive/not good for their job role. Good prices on food (apart from match days, so 3 days a week lol)

Just went in for a pint, they have a good selection of fruity ciders you wouldn’t usually find elsewhere. Good place to watch the football and hang with mates as it has a pool table to keep you occupied

Moved to Bristol 6 months ago and has been become my local pub! Great sports bar, atmosphere and the staff are really friendly and accommodating. Love the Lillys cider! My favourite bar in Fishponds, top marks! 🙂

poor service,, didnt clean the table. Food poor portion, banrolls old - maybe from previous day- and a few potatoes on the side and the hamburger looks like mcdonalds. Not be back

I'm not going to comment on cleanliness as the team member was on his own, but the food was delicious. Everything was 100% fresh, chips, buns, salad, chicken nice and moistured, not dry like in other places we have experienced. Will come again to taste more dishes, hopefully they will be as fresh as today. 😊

Kieran was amazing!!! He made our brunch experience the best I've had in bristol...amazing brunch value for drinks. Food was very nice although not a huge choice for the brunch but we were more interested in the drinks. Keiran made the experience so much better, he couldn't have done any more for us...thank you kieran 5*

I have been coming here for years, mostly during uni and now just returning for a couple of drinks. I believe there is some new staff that have started, on the whole they are nice, how we there is one woman who is extremely rude and condescending. She became abrupt and started calling me ‘darling’ in a patronising manner. I have since returned and witnessed her to laugh at me to her with her colleagues and be once again very rude. Very good pub apart from this unprofessional and immature staff member. She has dark curly hair, looks quite young and silly.

I had to deescalate a situation with an argumentative drunk guy on a nice Friday evening. However, with my limited English, I was not very successful as he was using slang words such as dog bullocks, etc, and was not easy to understand. I saw he had similar drunk friends there, so after 5 mins I sat down the place was not really enjoyable as these drunk guys keep pestering people who wants to enjoy a few pints of beer and chat with their friends..

I went with the girls on Saturday for some drinking and catch up time. The atmosphere was so good the music was pumping playing our favourite singalongs, shots were following being 4 for £10 on tequila 😍 and the cocktails were so nice and even better 2-4-1

Come in for food with the dog and Kieran was very happy to help, the food was amazing and the staff are great Highly recommend coming in

Tired looking, service very slow

We specifically asked for the drinks that come with the Wednesday chicken offer. The server deliberately gave us drinks that did NOT come with the offer and charged us extra. When we complained they refused to refund despite them giving us drinks we did not order. This is clearly a scam. I advise anyone going here for food to be extra super specific regarding what drinks you are ordering or, better yet, go to a different place where you won’t be deliberately scammed.

Extremely upset with poor customer service. Submitted email complaint but no response. Twice asked for wine that came with daily deal but was ignored and served with wrong wine and charged for it. When I realised I had paid £6.09 more ( cos it wasn’t the right wine I had asked for) wouldn’t reimburse and just told not all drinks were part of the meal deal But I asked twice specifically for the wine that comes with the meal deal. Not sure if they didn’t understand or just chose to ignore me, very disappointed, we as a family won’t go there again .

Horrible place! Went in to find the tables were sticky the place is dirty and the staff are so rude! No one smiles when serving and for me that is unacceptable! Learn how to treat your customers better before you have none left! Place is going massively down hill, used to be a lot better back on the day.

I love coming to the old post office for drinks with my friends! It's extremely well-priced, a brilliant selection of beers, wines, and spirits, and the staff are brilliant. Special shout-out to Kiera! Always smashing it behind the bar!!!

This is my absolutely favourite place to go out for breakfast or lunch with friends and/or family. Went there again today for lunch (11:50am), the food was excellent and the service was even better. There were warm and welcoming and whilst ordering I had a lovely 5 minutes conversation with Kiera at the bar about lockdo love of Lilleys cider. James and Beth we're really friendly as well. I'd highly recommend this venue to everyone and I'll be back again soon

Proper gone down hill in here. Shame cos it used to be banging, £4.25 for a flat pint of haze cos they don't have any glasses. Could go on but why bother if you don't see the problems when you run the place you probably won't understand.

Well priced food reasonable portions. The double cheese and bacon burger was very tasty. You can also enjoy sports live on the big screens.

Don’t bother ordering K town from this place. The chicken is more dry than the sphinx’s chin! I rang up to complain about the food and had the phone put down on me. Avoid like the plague or suffer my same fate!!!!!!!!

Didn't get what we ordered, we're told that we ordered wrong. Long wait for awful food.

No Guiness (apparently off) or good ales. Disinterested bar staff. Dreadful atmosphere. On Friday when we went there they shut at 9 o'clock.

All good,not expected anything less to be honest.
