The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

What a warm welcome we were given today. The shop had not long opened. The menu was varied and affordable with something for everybody. The service was fantastic and so warm. Good value for money, will definitely return again and highly recommended.

Do not order! We ordered and PAID online and when we went to collect they were closed. We have contacted them numerous times via email and phone but nobody has got back to us. Shouldn’t be accepting payment if they’re not open.

Absolutely delicious! Lovely friendly staff amazing Chinese bbq sauce! The only critique I have is I can never get through on the phone lol sometimes I can't order as I have children I can't leave to go to and get it. But everytime I order in the shop they are very friendly and the food is delicious and hot!

New owners, a kid was working behind the counter, looked like a 10 year old, went at 17:30 to get pie chips for the wife and just chips for me, they were cold, looked like they were old ones from this afternoon and just heated up, at them prices I want them cooked fresh, theses are new owners, If they carry on like this they won't be in business for long, this used to be a very good chippie, It's now been spoilt for their greed.

It’s hard to see why any legitimate shop would be cash only these days. I expect it puts off a few customers like it put me off.

Bought two large cod and one large portion of chips. Nice fish, cooked fresh, but batter somewhat undercooked. Chips far too large (enough for four or more) and not very hot. Note - It is now McCoy's Fish Bar and not Humphrey's.

Busy, busy, and that's how we like it. Buzzing little fish bar, great food. Yes there's a queue because the chips are smashing, been coming here over 30 years.

Sadly we were disappointed with our food - the Cod was over cooked and dry whilst the Haddock was coated in raw batter. This chip shop used to be so good but seems to have gone downhill in recent months.

A veces encantador, a veces rancio. Algunas de las mejores fichas que he tenido y algunas de las peores. Tan inconsistentes, los pasteles están bien, sin embargo, cuando no están aplastados, es decir, y no son los pasteles típicos que venden todos. Me cansaría de recomendar en caso de que tengan un mal día.

I have used this chippy for years. Used to be renowned for high quality fish and chips. Just wasted the best part of £20.00 on two portions of greasy undercooked chips, meagre pieces of tasteless fish (cod or panga I don’t know for sure) bulked up with undercooked batter. Peas were ok. Not value for money. Won’t be going again, ever. Happy Good Friday.

Really good quality food, use this one regularly and never disappointed. Staff are friendly and food always piping hot too.
