Swanscombe Fish Bar in Dartford

This is the best fish bar I've ever been to. The staff are fantastic and the food is spot on. Chips are always perfectly cooked and the fish is fresh with light crispy batter. My sons adore the curry sauce and are always trying something different on the menu.

Best chippy in the world ever so considerate when the chips has been out for too long he will apologise and put fresh chips quick and fast. Very hard working chippy they deserve their flowers for keeping the business running after pandemic and still thriving. Chips always hot , price affordable, service good even though this is a very busy chippy and time fast. Ticks all the boxes I always go on a Friday after work and the worker are happy and smiling. We ordered food for our family early Easter evening meal for a large number. Ready at the time requested lovely and hot when we got it home. The family really enjoyed it, best cod ever!!. Always good fish & Chips Thank you. Geoff & Annie Southfleet

Greasy, cold and rude staff Complained to manager and was told to go away. Not impressed at all. Won’t go again

The fish and chips was not bad, but the attitude sucks, tonight I went to buy fish and chips, was advised I could not pay by card. Whilst waiting for my order some customers were allowed to pay by card. Please treat all the customers in the same way.

I just been to swanscombe fish and chips I ordered small cod and chips the bloke said 2 minutes ok I said yeah fine anyway I know to cook cod takes longer but after about 15/20 minutes he got the cod out and put it into the shelf display to keep warm then put chips in the tray then the phone rang and he started talking looking in his fridge and walked off so looked at the cod and it was flat and shorts could of easily fit it in the palm of my hand so I thought I ask him if that was mine but he was to busy ordering stock on the phone after another 15 minutes he still hadn't appeared so even though them trays keep them warm they don't keep them hot so after another 5 minutes no show so I left and I thought if that was my smedium cod and chipsit was not worth 5.50 for that cod it was so small that shops got so expensive now and by the looks of things he didn't care about customers anyway so won't be going back there got the other chip shop to use now anyway

Horrible gave me a saveloy what was rock hard And chips was soggy and stuck together. Disgusting With the food they gave me today. Won’t be going back there shame it’s the only one in Swanscombe and the quality of food is terrible.

this place was always a reliable place to eat even on a cold day it always warmed my heart as a kid when my Nan took me to the fish and chip shop to get a nice meat pie on a Wednesday

Best place we have found for sausage in batter (for wife) & Cod Roe (for me). You need to go when certain t v programs are on so as to avoid the crush and delays.

Large cod well cooked in light crispy batter with superb chips highly recommended. will visiting again soon

Good variety of food, fresh fish, and always hot , parking can be a problem sometimes though. Staff very friendly

Had meal delivered to Ingress Park, took hour but def worth the wait! Fish was fresh and plentiful, and friendly service from the lady who took order, to lady who delivered! Thank you

Not like most other chippies this one is worth a drive to get to. The best fish and chips I have had, the oil is different and the food is clean and very tasty. It might not be local for you but it’s worth the effort.

Just had a take away from the swanscombe fish bar and I can only describe it as awful. We ordered a large portion of chips, a saveloy and a battered sausageThe portion size of the large chips was not acceptable. the chips were cold and really not nice. The saveloy was also cold and dry like it had been sat under the heat for too long. The battered sausage was okFar from impressed won't be going back

Had sausage in batter and chips. Best chips I have ever had - sausage was nice too. Very generous with helpings and excellent value.

Very friendly staff, had to wait a few moments for the chips to finish cooking which I didn't mind as they were lovely, hot and fresh. Only reason I've marked down is the chicken ordered was very dry so left most of that.

i always pop in here from where i work on my home if I've had a particular bad day.... as i go towards the end of the day they will always cook me my fish fresh and the chips are normally fresh as well.

Went here again for what's become Nana's ritual fish and chips when she visits here. My daughter always jumps at the chance. We are always very happy with the food. I do like the chicken as well. Would highly recommend if in the area.

Fish and chips were great - good size portion and value for money. Staff were friendly and the shop was very clean Didn't gave to wait long to be served.

The fish and chips are always cooked to perfection I have no idear were the other 2 reviewers must have had a bad day as in the 7 years I have been a regular customer i never had anything but top fish and chips .

Normalmente voy a la sartén tripulación Northfleet me tuve. Las patatas fritas bajo cocinado. El pescado en la pasta era demasiado blandas y el bacalao muy masticar. Un poco caro para las patatas fritas y para el tamaño de bacalao. El otro bar de pescado...

Solía ser un precioso chips" pero dura 5 visitas ahora 4 veces la patatas fritas han sido asqueroso, no sé si cambia de proveedor o aceite desaparecido realmente cuesta abajo en que proporcionaba .. Aún así no se le puede echar la culpa al personal siempre amable ... Venga a ordenar las fichas fuera!

First time i visited since i moved here. Very nice cod and chips. Friendly staff and very clean. Will ask if fish can be cooked to order next time as it dried out a bit in the heated cabinet. Will visit again. Chips were spot on
